The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office Believe Missing 15 Year Old Sierra LaMar of Morgan Hill was Kidnapped
15 year old Sierra LaMar has been missing since March 16, 2012 when she was last seen at 6AM leaving her home in Morgan Hill, CA going to Sobrato High School. She never made it. Since her disappearance police have located her cell phone along the side of the road and her “Juicy” brand pink bag with her clothes in it. In both cases the 15 year old’s belongings were found in the opposite direction of the route that she would have taken to go to school.
There has been no evidence that points to a teen runaway. Instead, Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office is now calling the Sierra LaMar’s disappearance a victim of an abduction. According to accounts, Sgt. Jose Cardoza said detectives came to that conclusion that Sierra LaMar was kidnapped after talking to 100 family members and friends. There is also the premise that she may have initially left home voluntarily with some one, but is now being held against her will.
Volunteers searched Wednesday for a San Francisco-area teenager who disappeared almost two weeks ago and authorities say was likely abducted.
The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday investigators were proceeding on the assumption Sierra LaMar, 15, of Morgan Hill was kidnapped, the San Jose Mercury News reported. Sgt. Jose Cardoza said detectives came to that conclusion after talking to 100 family members and friends.
“There’s nothing indicating she would have run away from the house,” Cardoza told the newspaper. “She had no issues at home and never mentioned she was going to run away. She’s possibly out there as an ‘involuntary taking.’”

Police Find Missing Teen Sierra LaMar’s Pink Juicy Brand Bag With Clothing Inside
Sierra LaMar has been missing since March 16, 2012 when she was last seen on her way to high school. She never made it. Since then here cell phone was found and now police say that they found the teenagers pink bag with clothing inside. The police say that the items were found Sunday at 1 pm near the intersection of Laguna and Santa Teresa in Morgan Hill about two miles from the girl’s home. The pink bag was discovered off to the side of the road as if tossed from a vehicle. The map below shows where Sierra LaMar’s cell phone and bag were found in proximity to her home and school.
Police have found a bag and clothing belonging to Sierra LaMar, the Northern California teenager who has been missing for almost seven days.
The 15-year-old was last seen Friday morning as she headed off to school from her Morgan Hills home.
Police found the bag on Sunday but didn’t release that information until Thursday, because they had to confirm it belonged to Sierra, Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jose Cardoza said. They made the find near an intersection two miles from her home.
Cardoza said her Juicy brand bag contained a neatly folded pair of pants and a T-shirt, but that the evidence provided no clues about whether Sierra was abducted or ran away.

So what does this discovery mean for the case of missing 15 year old Sierra La Mar? The confirmation that the bag and belongings do belong to Sierra LaMar still does not provide positive evidence that her disappearance was the cause of foul play or a runaway. It really can’t be a good thing that investigators would find Sierra’s cell phone and pink bag with clothing on the side of the ride tossed out like the trash.
Cardoza said a pair of pants, a shirt, a bra and a pair of underwear were neatly folded inside a Juicy brand purse. It was not clear if they were the clothes Sierra put on the morning she was last seen or if they were something she brought along with her. He said they contained no forensic evidence that pointed to a crime or a person of interest in the case.

Investigators Say No Clues Found After Examining Missing Sierra LaMar’s Cell Phone and Computer … Missng Since March 16, 2012
The investigation into the disappearance of 15 year old Sierra LaMar continues, but provides few clues. The Santa Clara County investigators have examined the cell phone and the computer of missing Sierra LaMar but claim they have no clues as to why she went missing. They are unable to determine whether she was a victim of a crime or a runaway. However, Sierra LaMar’s cell phone was found on the side of the road less than a mile from her home, in the opposite direction from the bus stop. With no clues found with cell phone records or on her computer as active that Sierra LaMar was with Facebook and Twitter, and the fact that her cell phone was found in the opposite direction from what was supposed to be her way to school, one has to suspect that she was stalked and taken against her will.

Search Continues for Missing Sierra Lamar … Teen’s Father is a Registered Sex Offender, But Not Considered a Suspect
The search continues for missing 15 year old Sierra Lamar according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office. Sierra Lamar has been missing since March 16, 2012 when she failed to show up for school. Authorities have been interviewing and questioning the too numerous registered sex offenders in the Morgan Hill, CA area. That has brought about a rather peculiar situation. The father of missing Sierra Lamar, Steve Wayne Lamar, is a registered sex offender. He was convicted of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14. Hmm. However, the Sheriff’s office is saying that he is not a suspect and is cooperating.
Tuesday, the sheriff’s Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Task Force was still in the process of contacting the 267 registered sex offenders in Morgan Hill, San Martin and Gilroy to confirm their whereabouts at the time Sierra disappeared, Sgt. Jose Cardoza said.
The Sheriff’s Office also confirmed Tuesday that Sierra’s father, Steve Wayne Lamar, of Fremont, is a registered sex offender but is not a person of interest in his daughter’s disappearance. Lamar has “been fully cooperative since the beginning of the investigation,” Cardoza said.
Just a tad bit bizarre that the dad would be a registered sex offender and your 15 year old daughter goes missing.
UPDATE I: Updates from Police presser.
“It’s frustrating from our standpoint that we haven’t found any clues,” Cardoza said at the press conference.
LaMar’s mother said the teen usually wakes up about 6 a.m., and has been missing since about 7:15 a.m. Friday. Her last “tweet” on her Twitter account was posted at 6:29 a.m. from a computer that day.
LaMar moved to Morgan Hill with her mother Marlene and mother’s boyfriend, Rick, about five months ago. On Monday afternoon, Marlene LaMar stood by with Sierra’s father, Steve, cousins Michelle Allee and Keith LaMar and Sierra’s sister Danielle.

UPDATE VI: Missing Sierra Lamar’s father is a registered sex offender, are you kidding me? Although the police claim that Steve Wayne Lamar is not a suspect and is cooperating in the disappearance of Sierra Lamar, however, the irony is chilling.
UPDATE VII: Investigators claim that the cell phone and computer provide no clues in the disappearance of Sierra Lamar.
