UPDATE II: Sister of Missing Kentucky Mother Questions Boyfriend’s Story About Last Seeing Her.
The sister of a Kentucky woman last seen more than a week ago believes her live-in boyfriend knows something about her disappearance, despite him denying involvement and police saying he has been extremely cooperative with investigators.
Crystal Rogers was last seen by Brooks Houck, her live-in boyfriend, on July 3, according to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky. Her sister, Brooke Ballard, said she has questioned Houck’s claims that Rogers, 35, stayed up late that night and was gone when he awoke the next morning.
“The stories just don’t add up. You just don’t go to bed one night and not know she’s gone and then not worry when she left the baby,” said Ballard. “He has not offered once to search — or help — or do anything for the family.”
Houck said he had nothing to do with the disappearance of Rogers, a mother of five including his 2-year-old son. He took a polygraph test and told HLN’s Nancy Grace the results were inconclusive.

Daniel Leira stated that, “After lunch, around 1 p.m., I saw him go out in a blue RIB,” however, around 5 PM the boat was found tangled in some moorings.
Thursday around 5 p.m. the boat was found tangled in some moorings.
“The boat was found just off the edge of Dinner Key tangled up in mooring lines by a sailboat,” said Liz Barraco, a spokeswoman with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. “Now everyone is out here putting in an effort trying to find this gentleman.”
On the boat were personal belongings to the 30-year-old Moore who was a member of the 2012 Olympic team sailing team.
He and his teammate are featured in a You Tube video in which that teammate Eric Storck describes Moore as “a very good skipper.” Moore says making the Olympic team was one of his goals and dreams.
Among the items found on the inflatable boat were a life jacket and a GPS. A source told CBS4 the GPS showed that the boat reduced speed by Soldier Key, south of Stiltsville, and zig-zagged back to where it came from. It’s believed that Moore was off the boat at that time.
U.S. Sailing has set up a GoFundMe page to assist with the cost of the search and asked anyone who could provide information to contact contact Libby Patton at 440-781-9846 or call emergency services (Coast Guard at 305-535-4562 or Miami Dade Police Non Emergency Line at 305-595-6263).

Florida Fish & Wildlife South Region public information coordinator Liz Barraco said the search, involving more than a dozen boats and two helicopters, was focusing on an area near Soldier Key, five miles south of Cape Florida and seven miles east of the mainland. The boat’s GPS indicates at some point there was a shift in direction and speed around a mile from Soldier Key.
