A statewide missing child alert has been issued for 15 year old Richard Peter Henson, who has been missing since Thursday, February 19, 2015 in St. Lucie County, Florida. Henson was last seen around 5 PM in the 4000 block of Greenwood Drive in Fort Pierce on Thursday playing basketball near his home northwest of Sunrise Boulevard and Edwards Road. “Ricky” Henson lives with his guardians, an uncle and his grandmother in Port Pierce. According to the sheriff’s office, his cell phone was found nearby in the grass where he had been playing basketball. The sheriff’s office released a flier which describes Henson as endangered and a victim of a ‘possible abduction.’ The sheriff said, “He literally just vanished from playing basketball.”

Description: Henson has brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has braces. According to the sheriff’s office, he was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green T-shirt and black-and-white Nike sneakers.

Richard Peter Henson was last seen in the 4000 block of Greenwood Drive in Fort Pierce on Thursday.

He vanished at 5 p.m. Thursday after playing basketball down the street from his home, located northwest of Sunrise Boulevard and Edwards Road, the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said.

“He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green shirt, and black and white Nike sneakers,” an alert from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said. “He may be carrying a black and white basketball.”

UPDATE I: Press Conference Friday night, Sheriff Ken Mascara said the search continues for missing 15-year-old Ricky Henson.

Sheriff Ken Mascara said that “Ricky” Peter Henson uncharacteristically left his cell phone near where he was playing basketball. Sheriff Mascara stated that CART has been issued, Child Abduction Response Team. Specialized assistance from FTLE has also been requested with regards to analyzing Ricky’s phone.  Sheriff Ken Mascara said, “He literally just vanished from playing basketball.”

Sheriff Ken Mascara stated that one of the main focus of police were interviewing the sexual predators that live in the area. Within a 2 mile radius there are approximately 60 sexual predators.

UPDATE I: Missing Fort Pierce teen found safe in Orlando.

Richard “Ricky” Peter Henson has been found safe and returned to his guardians in Fort Pierce, FL.

The St. Lucie Sheriff Office said the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in conjunction with Sheriff Ken Mascara has found the missing 15-year-old teen Richard “Ricky” Henson safe in Orlando.

Ricky Henson was lured to a northern Orlando apartment of a “college student” he met on social media, St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara says at a evening press conference.

The 15-year-old was not harmed but wanted to come home. Neither Mascara nor the lead Florida Department of Law Enforcement agent would identify the student. While saying he wasn’t a registered sexual offender or predator, Mascara said he believes the student was up to no good.

Mascara credited FDLE with tracing social media and finding the address for the man, who is being interviewed by agents but has not been arrested. After communicating with Henson on social media, the man on Thursday found the youth playing basketball, enticed him into his car and drove him to Orlando.

4 Month Old Khalieyah Pitts & Her 24 Year Old Mother Tabitha Rantanen Missing Since 2/17/15 in Portsmouth, NH (May Have Fled to Greenfield, MA)

4 month of Khalieyah Pitts and her 24 year old mother, Tabitha Rantanen, have been missing since Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  Portsmouth police have been searching for the 4 month old and the tot-mom following a court order was issued by the Portsmouth Family Court for the state to take custody of the child, Khalieyah Pitts. NH DCYF was granted emergency custody of the infant at Rochester District Court on Feb. 13. According to authorities, the 24 year old mother has no known address in the New Hampshire Sea cost area. Tabitha Rantanen also has mental health and active substance abuse issues.

Portsmouth police Capt. Mike Schwartz stated that the mother, Tabitha Rantanen, was aware of the court order and fled with the baby.  Schwartz said the baby was not in anyone else’s care and was not abducted. The police believe that Tabitha Rantanen is no longer in New Hampshire. It is believed that she may be in Greenfield, MA, as she has family in the area. A felony warrant has been issued for Tabitha’s arrest on a charge of interference with custody. Rantanen is described as being 5’2 and about 120 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Police said 4-month-old Khalieyah Pitts and her 24-year-old mother, Tabitha Rantanen, who may be going by “Tabi Pitts,” have been missing since Tuesday. On Tuesday, a court ordered Rantanen to surrender custody of her daughter. Police said once she became aware of the order, she fled New Hampshire with Khalieya.

Police said they may be near Greenfield, Massachusetts.

Family members expressed concern about Rantanen’s mental condition and substance abuse.

UPDATE I: NH & MA Police search for missing 4 month old girl.

Police in New Hampshire and Massachusetts are working together to search for a “mentally unstable” mother who took her daughter.

Sgt. Dan McCarthy informed 22News that the Greenfield Police Department is assisting the Portsmouth NH Police Department search for 4 month old Khalieyah Pitts.

The New Hampshire Child Protective Services was granted emergency custody of Khalieyah by court order on February 13th. Sgt. McCarthy said the mother, 24-year-old Tabitha “Tabi” Rantanen, took Khalieyah and fled the state. She was last known to be in Greenfield where she has family.

The Tampa police have released new pics taken the night that 33 year old Apryl Foster disappeared in Ybor City, FL. Video was found showing Apryl’s red 2009 Chevrolet Aveo traveling east on Seventh Avenue from 18th Street. However, the police were unable to determine who was driving the vehicle. Apryl Foster went missing on 2/12/15, she was last seen round 2:30 a.m. on Thursday in Ybor City, at the Bad Monkey and Double Decker Bars.

Police have released new details in the case of a missing Brandon woman, along with photos taken the night she disappeared.

During a press conference Thursday, one week after 33-year-old Apryl Foster vanished, Tampa Deputy Police Chief Brian Dugan detailed the extent of the ongoing search and stressed that detectives have no plans to slow things down.

“We will keep searching,” he urged. “No stone will be left unturned.”

Foster was last seen around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 12. Investigators say she’d been in Ybor City, specifically at the Bad Monkey and Double Decker Bars, after she’d left work at Ulele around 11 p.m.

The pictures from a week ago in Ybor City show Foster holding unidentified objects in her hands and a pocketbook slung over a shoulder.

“It doesn’t look like she was under any distress or anything, she was walking to her car,” said friend Patrick Hanney, a co-worker of Apryl’s at Ulele.

UPDATE I: Apryl Foster’s car Found in Brandon Lake; Unidentified Female Inside.

The car of Apryl Foster, the Brandon woman who vanished Feb. 12, was found submerged in a lake Sunday afternoon, police said.

A female was found inside the car, but Tampa police haven’t identified the woman.

According to Tampa police, the clothing of the victim matches what Foster, 33, was wearing when she disappeared.

The medical examiner will identify the victim found in the car. The car was found in a small lake near Open Field Loop and Rain Dance Place, not far from Foster’s home, police said.

As reported at the Kansas City Star, comes a new true crime show that premiered tonight with an episode of an abduction and murder that we covered in 2007, the disappearance and death of  Overland Park, Kansas teen Kelsey Smith. Edwin R. Hall was later charged with the 1st degree murder and aggravated kidnapping in the murder of 18 year old Kelsey Smith. Hall would later plead guilty to the kidnapping, raping, sodomizing and murder of Kelsey Smith. How fitting the true crime episodes name is ‘See No Evil’ as discussed here on Scared Monkeys.

A new true crime show premieres Tuesday night with an episode centered on the abduction and murder of Overland Park teenager Kelsey Smith.

“See No Evil,” which focuses on surveillance video footage that helps solve crimes, premiers at 9 p.m. on the Investigation Discovery channel.

Kelsey Smith went shopping on June 2, 2007, at a Target store in Overland Park. She never made it home. She was found dead four days later in Jackson County.

19 Year Old University of Virginia Lacrosse Player Mike D’Amario Missing Since 2/16/15 in Charlottesville, VA (Update: Found Safe)

19 year old University of Virginia lacrosse player  Mike D’Amario has been missing since February 16, 2015 in Charlottesville, Virginia. D’Amario, a first year LAX player, was last seen on the UVA campus grounds  around 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The University police at this time do not suspect foul play; however,  they would like anyone to contact them if you have seen or spoken to D’Amario since 3:45 p.m. Monday. D’Amario is described as a white male, 5’10” tall, weighing 170 lbs with brown wavy hair and brown eyes.

The University of Virginia is investigating a missing person incident involving a UVA student, Mike D’Amario. He was last seen on Grounds at around 3:45p.m. on February 16, 2015. UPDATE I: First-year Virginia lacrosse player Mike D’Amario is missing.

The police were unable to confirm to us whether there was any note left behind before he went missing. When asked about some Twitter chatter regarding another woman who, distraught over the news of D’Amario’s disappearance, also went missing herself, the police said that they were unaware of any missing woman, and that anybody who has any information at all should contact them immediately.

UPDATE II: Mike D’Amario has been found and is safe.
