23 Year Old Taylor Roden Missing Since 3/7/15 in Lafayette, Indiana (Update: Found Safe)

23 year old Taylor Roden has been missing since Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Lafayette, Indiana. Taylor Roden was last seen on Saturday  at 12:30pm in Lafayette. Her cellphone was found in a gas station bathroom in Mishawaka. Roden is 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds. She has red hair and blue eyes. According to Tippecanoe County sheriff’s Detective Bob Goldsmith, a video from the Mishawaka gas station is supposed to show Roden leaving with a man and a woman.

Roden, 23, was last seen Saturday. Her cellphone was found in a gas station bathroom in Mishawaka, and her parents have filed a missing person’s report on Monday.

Tippecanoe County sheriff’s Detective Bob Goldsmith said video from the Mishawaka gas station is supposed to show Roden leaving with a man and a woman. He plans to drive to the northern Indiana city this week to see the video.

Goldsmith said Roden does not appear to be coerced or forced into the car, and during a telephone interview with the clerk who was working, didn’t indicate that she appeared fearful.

But no one — family or friends — has heard from Roden since Saturday.

UPDATE I: Taylor Roden Found Safe in Northern Indiana.

Tippecanoe County sheriff’s Det. Bob Goldsmith said Thursday he spoke face-to-face with Roden, who was last seen around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

“She doesn’t appear to be in harm’s way,” he said, noting that the missing-person case filed Monday by Roden’s parents is now closed.

Roden is in northern Indiana and chose to stay there for now, Goldsmith said.

20 Year Old Deirdre Magolon Missing Since 3/6/15 in King of Prussia, PA (Update: Found Safe)

20 year old Deirdre Magolon has been missing since Friday, March 6, 2015 in King of Prussia, PA. According to accounts,  Deirdre Magolon took her sister’s black Mazda just before 7 p.m. Friday without permission. The car, a 2005 black Mazda, was found stalled by police near the 422/76 interchange at 7:20 p.m. Upper Providence Police Sergeant Raymond Bechtel said, “the driver’s side door was unlocked and a purse or wallet with some currency was left inside the vehicle.” Police have been searching areas near the 422 eastbound Interchange with 76 in King of Prussia. Magolon does not have her cell phone or any credit cards that her family is aware of.

Deirdre Magolon is described as 5-feet, 5-inches tall and 125 pounds. She has blond hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a gray furry hooded jacket.

Magolon’s sister and mom tell CBS 3 Eyewitness News the 20-year-old took her sister’s black Mazda just before 7 p.m. Friday without permission.

The car stalled near the 422/76 interchange.

State police found it at 7:20 p.m.

There was no sign of Magolon.

“I have no idea what her plans were that night. I have no idea,” said her mother Beth Magolon.

CBS 3 Eyewitness News was there as the lead Upper Providence Township Police Detective searched the car Monday.

“The driver’s side door was unlocked and a purse or wallet with some currency was left inside the vehicle,” said Upper Providence Police Sergeant Raymond Bechtel.

UPDATE I: Missing Royersford woman found in Philadelphia.

A missing 20-year-old woman whose car was found abandoned along a highway in Montgomery County Friday was found safe in Philadelphia, according to a press release from Upper Providence police.

Amber Alert Issued for 9 Year Old Brianna Christine Elise Crane Missing Since 3/7/15 in Salon, Iowa … Abducted by 48 Year Old Stepfather Kenneth Eugene Johns (Found Safe, Amber Alert Cancelled, Arrest Made)

An AMBER ALERT has been issued for missing 9 year old Brianna Christine Elise Crane by the Iowa Department of Public Safety and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. Brianna Crane was abducted Saturday afternoon from her home in Solon, Iowa by her stepfather, 48-year-old Kenneth Eugene Johns. He is believed to possibly be armed and dangerous and driving a rental car, a 2014 dark gray Ford Focus, Gray, 4 door with Iowa license plate #CKJ484. DPS spokesman Alex Murphy stated Johns is believed to live in the Johnson County area, possibly Coralville. Kenneth Eugene Johns is considered armed and dangerous and has a previous felony conviction.

According to the Iowa Department of Corrections, Johns was paroled on Dec. 9, 2013. In 2006, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for controlled substance violation, assault while participating in a felony and other charges. That case was in Polk County, as was a 2000 conviction for interference with official acts causing serious injury.

UPDATE I: Amber Alert for kidnapped 9-year-old.

Authorities searching for a convicted felon who is suspected of abducting his stepdaughter from Solon this afternoon.

According to an Amber Alert issued by the Department of Public Safety and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, 48-year-old Kenneth Eugene Johns is accused of abducting Brianna Christine Elise Crane, 9, of Solon.

Brianna is white, 4 feet tall, 85 pounds, with blondish-brown hair and hazel eyes. Police said she was last seen wearing a plaid coat with a furry hood, blue jeans and black high tops. She is hearing impaired, authorities said.

Johns is white, 6 feet tall, 210 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is clean shaven and was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, black hat, blue jeans and gray shoes.

“We do believe he is armed and dangerous; that could be a risk to our public or officers or both,” said DPS spokesman Alex Murphy. “We’re trying to play it safe.”

Police said they’re looking for a 2014 Gray Ford Focus sedan with an unknown license plate.

UPDATE II: Two locations in Johnson County searched in connection with AMBER ALERT for missing 9 year old Brianna Christine Elise Crane.

Authorities have searched two homes in Johnson County in connection with a convicted felon who is suspected of abducting his stepdaughter from Solon this afternoon.

Law enforcement searched two locations in Johnson County connected with the case: one in Coralville and another in Iowa City. Coralville Police Chief Barry Bedford said the home checked by his officers was where Johns was believed to have stayed at one time and a vehicle matching the description of what Johns is driving was seen in the area. Bedford said the car turned out to belong to someone else and Johns was not found at that location.

Police in Iowa City followed up with an acquaintance of Johns’, but he was not found there either. Authorities said they had no specific reason to suspect Johns was in Iowa City.

UPDATE III: Missing Girl Found, Suspect in Amber Alert Arrested.

The suspect in Saturday’s Amber Alert has been arrested in Davenport.

The Amber Alert was cancelled after the girl was located early Sunday morning. Officials said she was in good health when she was dropped off to police by a third party.

Johns, 48, was taken into custody without incident at about 9:30 a.m. at a home in Davenport.

11 Year Old Anthony Sosa Missing Since 3/5/15 in Schertz, TX (Found Safe)

11 year old Anthony Sosa has been missing since Thursday morning, March 5, 2015 in Schertz, Texas. According to police deputies, the boy was last seen at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Hillbrook Road heading towards Schaefer Road. According to Anthony Sosa’s mother, the boy ran off following an argument and has not been seen or heard from since.  Sosa left his home wearing green pajamas with dinosaurs on them and was not wearing shoes or a jacket. The 11 year old boy is said to have medical condition and the temperatures in Texas dipped into the 30′s on Thursday.

The search began after a woman flagged down a Bexar County deputy around 8:15 a.m. and told them her son had run away from home following an argument, said deputies.

Deputies said the boy was last seen wearing green pajamas with dinosaurs on them, no shoes and no jacket. The boy is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing approximately 4 feet tall and weighing 60 lbs.

With the cold temperatures and 11 year old Anthony Sosa reportedly leaving home with no coat or shoes, one would think that authorities would have to look in every house, outbuilding, shed, barn, abandoned car in the area. How far could he have gotten on foot?

UPDATE I: Agencies statewide search for missing Schertz boy.

Bexar County sheriff’s deputies and their K-9 units assisted in the search. San Antonio police searched for Anthony using their Eagle helicopter.

“With the weather out here and the fact that he did leave with no shoes and no jacket, it’s obviously complicating the search because of the time frame,” Correu said. “Anybody in these conditions can only remain out here so long.”

Alamo Area Search and Rescue, the Heidi Search Center, College Station Search Dog Network and Travis County Search and Rescue were also called in to use specially-trained dogs to track the boy’s scent.
Thursday afternoon, the Texas Game Warden joined the search efforts using their dogs and helicopter. The San Antonio Fire Department also contributed resources.

All-terrain vehicles were also brought in to help comb the area.

Much of the area surrounding Anthony’s home is covered in brush and trees.

The Red Cross also arrived at the scene to provide relief to first responders.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Schertz PD and the San Antonio Police Department launched its helicopter to help with search efforts. If you spot Anthony, call 911. Or If you see Anthony, call the Schertz Police Department at 210-619-1200.

UPDATE: Found Safe …

Missing for 20 hours, Anthony Sosa, 11, survived the coldest weather yet this yearbeneath a 10-by-12-inch heating duct under a neighbor’s house.

Silvas said he and an officer had lights when they searched where Anthony was hiding, but didn’t see the boy hidden by the ductwork.

“I heard everything, but I wasn’t brave enough to get out from my hiding spot,” Anthony said.

AMBER ALERT: 3 Year Old Elinor Trotta Missing Since 2/23/15 in New Castle, DE … Abducted by 43 Year Old Mother’s Ex-boyfriend Michael Trotta (Update: Elinor Trotta Found Safe in Mass, Father Arrested)

A multi-state AMBER ALERT has been issued for missing 3 Year Old Elinor Trotta.

An Amber Alert has been issued for missing 3 year old Elinor Trotta. Police responded to a home on the 800 block of East Basin Road in New Castle, Delaware around 6:45 p.m. Monday for a report of a domestic assault. The woman told police her ex-boyfriend, 43-year-old Michael Trotta, came to the home, assaulted her and then took their 3-year-old daughter Elinor Trotta. Police state that 3 year old Elinor is in  “imminent danger” and that Michael Trotta may have fled with her to New Jersey and is possibly heading to New York City. Trotta fled with Elinor in a 1989 gray Mazda 626 with Delaware plates but that car was later found near the scene in Delaware and towed away.

Police issued a multistate AMBER ALERT and the FBI got involved in the search for a Delaware girl who police say was abducted by her father and could be in a sport utility vehicle heading through New Jersey.

Police responded to a home on the 800 block of East Basin Road in New Castle, Delaware around 6:45 p.m. Monday for a report of a domestic assault. The woman told police her ex-boyfriend, 43-year-old Michael Trotta, came to the home, assaulted her and then took their 3-year-old daughter Elinor Trotta.

Delaware State Police issued the alert because New Castle County Police said that Elinor is now in “imminent danger” and that Trotta may have fled with her to New Jersey — possibly heading to New York City.

Elinor, who has shoulder-length brown hair and weighs about 60 pounds, was last seen wearing a purple puffy coat, pink pants and “Frozen” sneakers. Trotta, who is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, with a scruffy beard and balding, was last seen wearing all black clothing.

UPDATE @ 5:38 p.m.: The Amber Alert for the state of Delaware has been canceled. Three-year-old Elinor Trotta has been located and is safe.

AMBER ALERT CANCELED: Girl Found Safe in Massachusetts, Father Arrested.

Elinor Trotta and her father Michael Trotta were both found safe in Massachusetts.

The girl and her father were found at an apartment complex in Spencer, Massachusetts Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. Trotta was walking with his daughter out of the complex when he was met by an FBI SWAT team who cornered him and arrested him without incident, police said.
