CNN Poll: 58% Disapprove of Barack Obama’s Handling of the VA Scandal, As Some How 37% Approve

58% DISAPPROVE OF OBAMA’S HANDLING OF VA SCANDAL …

According to a recent CNN poll, Barack Obama get’s extremely poor scores on his handling of the Veterans Administration scandal.  The poll shows that a whopping 58% disapprove of Obama’s handing of the VA scandal, while only 37% approve. It is just the latest scandal during the Obama presidency as they are adding up more than the number of Americans gaining jobs. However, the VA scandal is just one of many important issues where Obama is failing Americans. Obama fails on the economy, 61% disapprove – 38% approve. Obama fails on healthcare 63% disapprove – 36% approve. Obama fails on foreign affairs 57% disapprove – 40% approve. Obama fails on the federal budget deficit 67% disapproval – 31% approval.

Nearly six in ten Americans give President Barack Obama a thumbs-down on how he is handling the Veterans Affairs controversy, according to a new national poll.

But a CNN/ORC International survey released Tuesday indicates that the scandal at VA hospitals doesn’t seem to be affecting the President’s overall approval rating, which remains at 43%, identical to the last CNN poll conducted a month ago. The survey also indicates that Obama scores some of his highest numbers on the environment and terrorism, two other issues in the spotlight this week.

According to the poll, 58% say they disapprove of how the President’s handling the VA scandal, with 37% saying they approve of Obama’s actions.

The Veterans Affairs controversy has mushroomed since CNN first reported last November on allegations of alarming shortcomings within the VA medical care system that potentially have had deadly consequences in dozens of cases.

Real Clear Politics: Poll: Majority Unhappy With Obama’s Handling of VA Woes.

Obama accepted VA Secretary Eric Shinseki’s resignation “with considerable regret” last week after a report by the VA inspector general found a longstanding pattern or wrongdoing by agency personnel.

Just 22 percent of those surveyed believe Shinseki should have remained in office, while 68 percent say he should have resigned.

Wait until America voices their opinion with Barack Obama on the release of alleged deserter Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for 5 Taliban detainees in GITMO.

VA Sec. Shinseki Resigns, But is This Just a Band-Aid on a Broken VA Hospital System … Who Will Be Fired or Prosecuted for Fraud & Murder ?

It was probably the most expected Friday resignation in history. Of course being done prior to Memorial Day weekend may have been a bit more symbolic …

Friday morning, following comments from VA Secretary Eric Shinseki regarding the current VA scandal, Shinseki met with Barack Obama where he gave his resignation. Barack Obama accepted it and in comments to the press stated that  Shinseki did not want to be a distraction because his priority is to fix the problem and make sure our vets are getting the care that they need. Obama said that was Ric’s judgment on behalf of his fellow veterans and he I agreed, we don’t have time for distractions. We need to fix the problem. REALLY? Obama said Sloan D. Gibson, the deputy secretary of veterans affairs, will take over the VA until a new secretary is named. Great, some one from within the same system.

Having one individual resign and throwing more money at the problem is not the answer. The VA problems are systemic and the people at the top claimed they had no idea what was going on and that they were lied to. IT’S TIME TO PURGE!!! Some people need to be fired and others who took an active role in the fraud perpetrated on our military veterans and ‘We the People” that caused the deaths of many of America’s heroes need to be prosecuted and jailed.

So Ric’s commitment to our veterans is unquestioned. His service to our country is exemplary. I am grateful for his service, as are many veterans across the country. He has worked hard to investigate and identify the problems with access to care.

But as he told me this morning, the V.A. needs new leadership to address them. He does not want to be a distraction because his priority is to fix the problem and make sure our vets are getting the care that they need. That was Ric’s judgment on behalf of his fellow veterans.

And I agree. We don’t have time for distractions. We need to fix the problem.

For now, the leader that will help move us forward is Sloan Gibson, who will take on the reins as acting secretary.

CNN:

The boss resigned under pressure and other Veterans Affairs managers are likely on the way out. Now the challenge is to solve the problem by providing timely health care for hundreds — perhaps thousands — of waiting veterans around the country.

Even Eric Shinseki knew he had to go, President Barack Obama said Friday in announcing the resignation of his only Veterans Affairs secretary over a growing scandal involving sometimes deadly waits for care at VA hospitals.

Obama went before reporters months after CNN broke the story about the latest problems at the VA and minutes after meeting Shinseki at the White House.

Sorry America … take a good look at what you can expect with Obamacare and what Barack Obama and Democrats most want, a single payer healthcare system.

Montel Williams Gives a Passionate Speech on Memorial Day and the War on Veterans that All Should Listen To … I Dont Care About Politics, What I care About Is That This Country Lives Up to Its Obligations to Veterans

KUDOS to Montel Williams …

TV celebrity and US military veteran Montel Williams provided a speech on Memorial Day that all should listen to. He blasted both President Obama and the Congress for not acting on behalf of veterans and their required healthcare. As Montel stated, “I don’t care about politics” … what I care about is that this country live up to its obligations to its veterans. AMEN BROTHER! Williams was referring to the current VA healthcare scandal where individuals were systemically cooking the books to make it appear that veterans were being seen timely on waiting lists.

“Whether you agree with me politically or not, I know you agree with me on this, ” he said. “We can argue about whether we like football or basketball as soldiers or sailors, airmen, marine or coast guardsmen … when it comes time, we never leave a soldier on the battlefield.”

We’re at war,” Williams said, “Guys are still dying. How dare this nation treat us this way.”

Rolling Thunder Ride for Freedom 2014 … Thousands of Bikers Roar through Streets of Washington, DC for Annual Rolling Thunder Rally For POW’s, MIA’s & Veteran Care

ROLLING THUNDER ASCEND UPON WASHINGTON, DC …

Although the annual Rolling Thunder rally’s  (VIDEO) purpose is to draw attention to the fate of American POWs and those missing in action, it is not lost this Memorial Day the current scandal taking place in the VA  over delays in care to US military personnel blamed for dozens of deaths. As one veteran biker stated, “We fought for years to get benefits that we were entitled to. It is outrageous, but what can you do about it? Not much. We may have the best army in the world, but we treat the veterans terribly, especially veterans from Vietnam and Korea.

Thousands of bikers roared through Washington for the annual Rolling Thunder rally Sunday, given added fervor this year amid anger over an ongoing scandal concerning medical care for veterans.

Organizers estimated around 750,000 bikers and spectators had descended on the US capital for the annual eve-of-Memorial Day rally in support of American prisoners of war and those missing in action, as they have each year since 1988.

The awe-inspiring show of motorcycle might includes many US military veterans on bikes, clearly identifiable in leather jackets emblazoned with military badges and medals.

Henry, 58, travelled from Maine in the northeastern United States with his wife and five other bikers.

He said he was not surprised by the recent scandal gripping the Veterans Affairs (VA) department over delays in care to US military personnel blamed for dozens of deaths.

And on Queue … House Democrat Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi Blames George W. Bush for Obama’s VA “Cooking the Books” Scandal

WOW, seriously … When will Democrats stop blaming GWB and look in the mirror?

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) blamed the current VA Scandal taking place during the Obama presidency on former President George W. Bush at her latest press conference as she stated, “Maybe when we go into war, we should be thinking about its consequences and its ramifications.” Really, is this all Democrats have to any scandal or anything bad that happens to blame Bush? This is a bit old 6 years into an Obama presidency. It is sickening that Veterans issues are being politicized. I would dare say that there have been issues, troubles and scandals with the VA in one form or another during the Obama, GWB, Clinton, GHWB, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, LBJ, etc. presidencies.I can remember hearing about terrible hospital conditions within the VA from days long before GWB was even a governor in Texas. However, in the sick, divisive and partisan mind of Nancy Pelosi and the current band of liberal Democrats … It’s blame GWB time again. I guess they could not blame the Koch brothers for this one. Now the Dems have a new scandal to defend themselves from in the 2014 midterm elections … I know, let’s just blame Bush. Just how many times will they dip into this well of unaccountability?

At some point Democrats and Obama have to take accountability and have to be held accountable for their actions and inaction. Everyone inherits issues from some one and it is up to you to make things better, not just blame some one else because you failed. It is difficult to believe that Obama has done anything with regards to the VA “cooking the waiting list books” scandal when he could not even admit he knew about it. At what point does everything that comes out of the Obama White House just be taken as a lie? NO ONE CARES WHO FAULT IT IS … FIX IT!!!

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., repeatedly put the blame for the Veterans Affairs scandal on former President George W. Bush, while arguing that her party has worked hard for veterans in recent years.

Pelosi took a shot at Bush while saying that the scandal is a high priority for Obama. “He sees the ramifications of some seeds that were sown a long time ago, when you have two wars over a long period of time and many, many more, millions more veterans,” she told reporters during her Thursday press briefing. “And so, I know that he is upset about it.”

The Democratic leader never mentioned Bush by name, but she alluded to him early and often in the press briefing.

“Maybe when we go into war, we should be thinking about its consequences and its ramifications,” Pelosi said while discussing the scandal. “You would think that would be a given, but maybe it wasn’t. And so, we go in a war in Afghanistan, leave Afghanistan for Iraq with unfinished business in Afghanistan. Ten years later, we have all of these additional veterans. In the past five years, two million more veterans needing benefits from the VA. That’s a huge, huge increase.”

This scandal that is currently taking place with the VA cooking the books was known to Barack Obama back in November 2008. So why is he acting like this is some surprise out of left field? Obama, through his mouth piece Jay Carney made the media and public to believe BO just learned of the scandal when it was reported in the news recently. LAIRS!!! They knew about this problem and Vets still died. Um, that is Bush’s fault how?

EXIT QUESTION: The Obama Administration and Democrats during his presidency have done nothing but blame GWB for pretty much everything. Guess what, Americans will be blaming Obama and the Obama Democrats for the next two decades over the damage that he has brought on the people of the United States.
