Sgt. Bowe Bergdah Charged with Desertion & Misbehavior Before the Enemy … The Same Individual Obama Admin Said Served with “Honor and Distinction” and Traded 5 Taliban GITMO Prisoners
Sgt. Bowe Bergdah Charged with Desertion … Tell us something everyone did not already know prior to his release.
Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the U.S. soldier who was recovered in Afghanistan last spring after five years in captivity, has been charged with desertion and misbehaving before the enemy. As reported in Stars and Stripes, Bergdahl is charged with one count of Article 85 and one count of Article 99 under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Much of the back-story that Bergdahl was a deserter was known at the time ahead of the deal made for his release. However, Barack Obama has obviously never met a military deserter he did not like. This is the same man that Barack Obama had a Rose Garden ceremony with his parents announcing his release. GOOD GRIEF. Bowe Bergdah, a deserter, a man who deserted his fellow soldiers, was exchanged for 5 top Taliban GTITMO detainees. Compounding this terrible Obama deal to trade an army deserter for 5 top Taliban GITMO detainees, Fox News is reporting that at least three of the five Taliban leaders traded last year for Bergdahl have tried to plug back into their old terror networks.
Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the U.S. soldier who was recovered in Afghanistan last spring after five years in captivity, has been charged with desertion and misbehaving before the enemy, Army officials said Wednesday, setting the stage for emotionally charged court proceedings in coming months.
Eugene Fidell, Bergdahl’s attorney, told The Washington Post that his client was handed a charge sheet Wednesday. Army officials said in a statement that Bergdahl has been charged with desertion with intent to shirk important or hazardous duty and misbehavior before the enemy by endangering the safety of a command, unit or place. His case has been referred to an Article 32 preliminary hearing, which is frequently compared to a grand jury proceeding in civilian court.
The court hearing for Bergdahl, 28, will be held at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston in Texas, where Bergdahl has served since shortly after his recovery on May 31, 2014.
Under the misbehavior-before-the-enemy charge, Bergdahl faces a maximum punishment of confinement for life, a dishonorable discharge, a reduction to private and total forfeiture of pay and allowances since the time of his disappearance, Army officials said. The desertion charge carries a maximum punishment of five years in prison, a dishonorable discharge, a reduction to private and a total forfeiture of pay and allowances.
Let’s not beat around the bush, the deal for Bowe Bergdahl was made by Obama for one reason and one reason only, to empty GITMO. Barack Obama cared more about emptying GITMO than he ever cared about the fact that Bowe Bergdah was a deserter. Or the fact that he put his fellow soldiers in harms way. Obama could have cared less. This is what a community agitator does. This is what a liberal ideologue does. This is what an individual does who has nothjing but contemt for the United States military. And sadly, this is what passes as a Commander in Chief today. You should be ashamed America for electing and reelecting the worst president ever.
Article 85 is “desertion with intent to shirk important or hazardous duty.” It carries a maximum potential punishment of a dishonorable discharge, reduction to the rank of private, total forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and five years in prison.
Article 99 is “misbehavior before the enemy by endangering the safety of a command, unit or place.” It carries a maximum potential penalty of dishonorable discharge, reduction to the rank of private, total forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and life in prison.
Remember when Barack Obama flunky Susan Rice said Bowe Bergdahl served with “honor and distinction.” But what else would you expect from an Obama minion, part of an administration that is against everything that the United States once stood for? Really, Bowe Bergdah served the United States with honor and distinction? UNREAL. I wonder what his fellow soldiers think think how he served? Or any other military person who is in harms way and serves this great nation putting their life on the line? Bowe Bergdah didn’t serve the United States with honor and distinction … he deserted his country.

Search and Rescue Underway for 7 Marines & 4 Soldiers Missing After Army Helicopter Crashes During a Night Training Exercise at Eglin Air Force Base in the Florida Panhandle (Update: Debris Found, Presumed Dead)
There is a search and rescue missing taking place after an Army helicopter crashed last night during a night training exercise at Eglin Air Force Base in the Florida Panhandle. According to Andy Bourland, spokesman for Eglin Air Force Base, the Army National Guard helicopter, a UH-60 Black Hawk, was reported missing around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, and search-and-rescue crews found debris around 2 AM. There were two helicopters involved in the training mission, one returned without incident. The Marines were part of a special operations group based at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and the soldiers were from a Hammond, Louisiana-based National Guard unit. Sadly, this does not look good. Although a search and rescue mission is underway, it appears that all may have died.
Seven Marines and four soldiers were missing early Wednesday after an Army helicopter crashed during a night training exercise at Eglin Air Force Base in the Florida Panhandle.
The area where the crash happened Tuesday night was under a fog advisory. The area was still extremely foggy Wednesday morning, Eglin public affairs specialist Sara Vidoni said.
Search crews in the Florida Panhandle struggled with dense fog Wednesday morning as they tried to find seven Marines and four soldiers missing after their Black Hawk helicopter crashed late Tuesday night during a routine training exercise.
The Army National Guard helicopter– a UH-60 Black Hawk– was reported missing around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, and search-and-rescue crews found debris around 2 a.m., said Andy Bourland, spokesman for Eglin Air Force Base, outside Pensacola.
“At this time all are missing,” Bourland said. A military official said the 11 service members are presumed dead.
Bourland told “Fox & Friends” that debris was found near the Navarre Bridge, which is located on a small strip of land between Choctawhatchee Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl To Be Charged With Desertion … Attorney Has Received “Charge Sheet” … Obama Admin Keeping Details Hidden From the Public (Update: Pentagon Denies Desertion Assertion)
According retired Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer, Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl will be charged with desertion. Shaffer, senior fellow at the London Center for Policy Research, said to Bill O’Reilly on The O’Reilly Factor that Bergdahl’s attorney has received the “charge sheet” from the Army describing the desertion charges. However, mum is the word from the Obama administration. According to many sources, including those who served with him, Sgt. Bergdahl left his unit in Afghanistan without permission in 2009 and was captured by the Taliban. Bergdahl was called a deserter, not a hero. Bergdahl was held prisoner by the Taliban for five years. Bergdahl was released in a prisoner exchange for the GITMO 5. This was already an unpopular decision, according to the American people, let’s see how Barack Obama spins his way out of this one. Obama’s military hero is a deserter.
Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was reportedly held captive by Taliban militants for five years, will be charged with desertion for leaving his post, according to sources of retired Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer. Bergdahl was only released after President Barack Obama negotiated with the terrorists, agreeing to release five prisoners from Guantanamo Bay.
Shaffer, senior fellow at the London Center for Policy Research, told Bill O’Reilly on Monday night that his sources have confirmed the Army has concluded its investigation and Bergdahl’s lawyer has been given a “charge sheet” informing him of the desertion charge.
Shaffer also said the Obama administration has been keeping details on the desertion charges hidden from the public. He personally placed blame on Ben Rhodes, Obama’s deputy national security advisor.
The Army has come to its conclusion and Bowe Bergdahl will be charged with Desertion:
Mr. Shaffer also accused the Obama administration of trying to keep the detail of Sgt. Bergdahl’s charges hidden.
“This is shaping up to be a titanic struggle behind the scenes,” he said. “Believe me, the Army here wants to do the right thing … And the White House, because of the political narrative, President Obama cozying up to the parents and because he, President Obama, releasing the five Taliban … The narrative is what the White House does not want to have come out.”
UPDATE I: Pentagon Denying that any decision has been made.
Sadly, the Pentagon is acting as a political shill of the WH rather than what their intended purpose is for. The Pentagon is basically calling retired Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer a liar when they know damn well its the truth. The investigation into Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is over and it is obvious that he was a deserter. The Pentagon and WH will have egg on their face.
That accusation had resulted in a strong denial from the Pentagon earlier in the day.
“They said there’s no time limit on this decision. (Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John) Kirby even said there’s no pressure … Of course, the moment you say that, there’s pressure,” said Shaffer, who works at the London Center for Policy Research. “What they didn’t say was more compelling than their denial.”
Shaffer, who believes the White House’s alleged decision to delay its announcement is politically motivated, added that he stands by “all of those facts,” referring to his report on Monday that Bergdahl’s lawyer has been given a statement of charges.
Maj. Gen. Ronald F. Lewis, the Army’s chief of public affairs, put out a statement Tuesday afternoon calling the reports, including a similar one by NBC News, “patently false.”
“To be clear there have been no actions or decisions on the Sgt. Bergdahl investigation,” he said. “The investigation is still with the commanding general of U.S. Army Forces Command who will determine appropriate action — which ranges from no further action to convening a court martial.”

Pearl Harbor Day 2014: 73rd Anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor … December 7th, 1941, a Date That Will Forever Live in Infamy
Pearl Harbor Day 2014 … December 7th, 1941, a Date That Will forever Live in Infamy …
Today marks the 73rd anniversary of the day the United States was suddenly and deliberately attacked the Empire of Japan and the United States would never be the same. We remember those brave men and women that died that fateful day. And we honor those that survived and fought on to defend the United States, freedom and liberty. The reprehensible and treacherous sneak act unified a country and awoke a sleeping giant that provided the resolve to win a war against the evil Axis. It was that resolve, leadership and focus on the enemy that enabled the United States and its Allies to victory.
God Bless the heroism of Our Greatest Generation!
USS Arizona Under Attack at Pearl Harbor
Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941 – a date which will live in infamy – the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with the government and its emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific.
Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu, the Japanese ambassador to the United States and his colleagues delivered to the Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.
It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time, the Japanese government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.
The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition, American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.
Yesterday the Japanese Government also launched an attack against Malaya. Last night Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong. Last night Japanese forces attacked Guam. Last night Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands. Last night the Japanese attacked Wake Island. This morning the Japanese attacked Midway Island.
Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.
As Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.
Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us. No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.
I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.
Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory and our interests are in grave danger.
With confidence in our armed forces – with the unbounded determination of our people – we will gain the inevitable triumph – so help us God.
I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December seventh, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire.”
UPDATE I: Pearl Harbor survivors reunite in Hawaii to mark 73rd anniversary of attack.
More than a dozen Pearl Harbor survivors, each more than 90 years old, gathered in Hawaii this week to share stories as they marked the 73rd anniversary of the Japanese attack that killed 2,400 sailors, Marines and soldiers.
The gathering has been called the last meeting for the USS Arizona Reunion Association – comprised of the remaining nine survivors of the USS Arizona, a battleship that sank in the Dec. 7, 1941, attack.
But Louis Conter isn’t ready to talk about the end.
“I don’t think this is going to be our last. … We’ve still got time to go,” said Conter, 93, of Grass Valley, Calif. “We’ll be back out here no matter whether the rest of the crowd can make it or not.”

Emotional Tribute to Our Veterans: For Our Freedom, Honor and Country … I Fought For You
WOW, this might be one of the best tributes ever to our military, our heroes, our veterans.
It starts out with a grandfather saying to his two grandsons, “some people have short memories and those who are too young to know need to be taught”. The two young kids obviously had no clue what he was saying. By the videos end, they totally understood.
God bless the brave men and woman of our Armed forced who sacrifice so much for our freedom.
