7 US Navy Sailors missing After Destroyer, USS Fitzgerald, and Container Ship Collided Off the Coast of Japan

THE SEARCH CONTINUES FOR 7 MISSING US NAVY SAILORS …

Seven Navy sailors were missing and the captain and at least two others were injured after a U.S. destroyer, USS Fitzgerald, and a container ship collided off the coast of Japan before dawn Saturday. The captain of the USS Fitzgerald was among those injured during the collision of the warship with a 29,000 ton cargo vessel. The US Navy said that up to seven missing sailors could be trapped in the mangled wreck.

Seven Navy sailors were missing and the captain and at least two others were injured after a U.S. destroyer and a container ship collided off the coast of Japan before dawn Saturday, the U.S. Navy and Japanese coast guard reported.

Rescuers were searching for the seven sailors who were thought to have been thrown into the sea or possibly trapped inside damaged sections of the destroyer, said Japanese coast guard spokesman Yoshihito Nakamura. None of the crew of the container ship was reported injured.

Footage from the Japanese TV network NHK showed Navy crew members working to pump water from flooded sections of the mid-right side of the USS Fitzgerald. The Navy’s 7th Fleet said flooding was stabilized and sailors from the USS Dewey came aboard to assist in damage control.

The ship’s captain, Cmdr. Bryce Benson, was airlifted to the U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka and was in stable condition, the 7th Fleet said in a statement. Two other crew suffered cuts and bruises and were evacuated, it said. It was unclear how many others may have been hurt.

Memorial Day – 2017: Remembering, Thanking & Honoring Our Military Heroes For Their Service & Sacrifice

REMEMBERING AND HONORING OUR MILITARY HEROES WHO GAVE ALL … BECAUSE FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE AND HONOR IS FOREVER.

memorial_day3

On this Memorial Day 2017, Scared Monkeys sends a special thank you to all of the military men, woman and their families who made the ultimate sacrificed so that We, the United States of America, could remain the home of the free because of the brave. We thank those who gave their lives in the name of liberty and freedom from the bottom of our hearts. We can no longer than them in person, but we can honor their sacrifices to this great Country. Thank you and God Bless you, we shall never forget you your service and sacrifice. Please take time today to remember what this day is truly about and the men and women that we have lost.

Remembering my uncle and all the brave heroes who sacrificed so much … I can remember like it was yesterday, but in fact it was more than 25 years ago, when I stood in Arlington National Cemetery for the funeral of my Uncle and namesake. I can remember the sound of Taps and the 21 gun salute as tears flowed down my face as I laid to rest my hero and a man that gave so much for his country and for me. A man who was the toughest and most honorable, proud and yet humble man I have ever known. God bless all.

President Donald Trump Tears Into Main Steam Media At US Coast Guard Commencement 5/17/2017 (VIDEO)

During the Commencement ceremonies at the US Coast Guard Academy, President Donald Trump praised the graduates and the Coast Guards fine work in defending the United States. He also took the opportunity to eviscerate the liberal MSM and their unfair treatment of his administration.

The president praised the 199 graduates for choosing to defend the country and their parents who raised them to pursue military service.

“These fine young cadets are about to take their rightful place on the front line of defense for the United States of America,” he said in a commencement speech at the academy in New London, Connecticut. “Cadets, you deserve not only the congratulations but the gratitude of each and every American, and we all salute you.”

It was Mr. Trump’s first commencement address to a U.S. military academy, and he went to lengths to highlight the important and unique role the Coast Guard plays in national security.

“Out of the five branches of our Armed Services, it’s only the Coast Guard that has the power to break through 21 feet of rock-solid Arctic ice, right?” he told the cadets. “You’re the only ones. And I’m proud to say that under my administration, as you just heard, we will be building the first new heavy icebreakers the United States has seen in over 40 years.”

President Trump provides a lesson to the Coast Guard graduates and some advice when dealing with pressure like the unfair actions of the MSM:

In a commencement ceremony at the Coast Guard Academy, Mr Trump said “no politician in history … has been treated worse or more unfairly. You can’t let them get you down, can’t let the critics and the naysayers get in the way of your dreams.”

“Over the course of your life, you’ll find things are not always fair,” he said. “Things happen to you that you do not deserve and are not always warranted, but you have to put your head down and fight, fight, fight. Never, ever give up. Things will work out just fine.”
