Israel Bombs Syria for Second Time This Week … Series of Powerful Blasts Shake Damascus

From Reuters, Israel has bombed Syria for the second time this week. Powerful explosions rocked the outskirts of Damascus early Sunday. Syrian state television said Israeli rockets had struck a military facility just north of the capital. Earlier this week, Israel carried out a bombing run to prevent missile transfers to Islamist militants (VIDEO). President Barack Obama defended Israel’s right to bomb targets inside Syria to protect themselves. Syria is a tinderbox about ready to explode and we have a “dithering” president who makes claims of acting if a “red line” was crossed and then backs off as he does with domestic policy like the clueless over his head “Community Organizer” in Chief he is. Being President is just a little different when you play chicken against those in the Middle East than the GOP isn’t Barack? Obama is between a “Barack” and a hard place and has no idea what to do. How’s that Arab Spring working out for you Mr. President?

Israeli jets devastated Syrian targets near Damascus on Sunday in a heavy overnight air raid that Western and Israeli officials called a new strike on Iranian missiles bound for Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

As Syria’s two-year-old civil war veered into the potentially atomic arena of Iran’s confrontation with Israel and the West over its nuclear program, people were woken in the Syrian capital by explosions that shook the ground like an earthquake and sent pillars of flame high into the night sky.

“Night turned into day,” one man told Reuters from his home at Hameh, near one of the targets, the Jamraya military base.

More from the Washington Post:

Israeli warplanes bombed the outskirts of Damascus early Sunday for the second time in recent days, according to Syrian state media and reports from activists, signaling a sharp escalation in tensions between the neighboring countries that had already been exacerbated by the conflict raging in Syria.

Though there was no official confirmation that Israel had carried out the attack, the Israeli military later announced that it had deployed two of its Iron Dome rocket defense batteries near its northern border in response to what it called “ongoing situational assessments.”

Videos posted on the Internet by activists showed a huge fireball erupting on Mount Qassioun, a landmark hill overlooking the capital on which the Syrian government has deployed much of the firepower it is using against rebel-controlled areas surrounding the city.

Grammy Winning Singer Alanis Morissette Defies Muslim Boycott & Death Threats over Israel Concert

OH CANADA!!!

Seven-time Grammy award winner Alanis Morissette is going forward with her concert in Israel and is defying the Muslim boycott and death threats. She is scheduled to give a concert in Tel Aviv on Monday, December 3, for the first time since she performed in Israel in 2000. Morissette will not back down to the pressure  bullying and threats. As stated at Legal Insurrection, it appears to be “courage week” in Canada as last week Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird provided strong support for Israel in the UN and unlike Stevie Wonder, Morissette went forward with her concert.

The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, however, is urging her to cancel at the last minute, due to the recent Gaza conflict and ongoing political situation.

“We would find it especially disturbing should you choose to play in Israel given its recent onslaught on Gaza,” the campaign group said in an open message to the vocal artist. “Palestinian civil society groups are calling on artists to shun Tel Aviv in the same way that South African activists called on artists to boycott Sun City.”

“We hope that you will not be persuaded by the argument that music builds bridges and can bring smiles to people’s faces, thus hopefully spreading a message of peace,” they added. “Any message of peace you hope to bring will be drowned by Israel’s well-oiled publicity that will use you to rebrand itself as a normal state that promotes music and culture.”

The Fighting Escalates Between Israel and Hamas … Iron Dome Intercepts Iranian made Missiles Aimed at Tel Aviv

Do not ever forget that a country has a right to defend itself … If the rockets are continues to be shot at Israel, this is going to turn into a ground offensive.

Further damage and death to Israel has been adverted thanks to the success of the Iron Dome missile defense system. As reported at the Jerusalem Post, Iron Dome intercepted two Iranian-made Fajr-5 missiles aimed at Tel Aviv on Saturday. The missiles marked the third attack on the heavily populated central city in as many days. It should not be lost in this story that Hamas is firing missiles into populated cities without care and the missiles are made in Iran. If this continues, an Israel ground war is not far off.

The Iron Dome intercepted two Iranian-made Fajr-5 missiles aimed at Tel Aviv on Saturday. The missiles marked the third attack on the heavily populated central city in as many days, after Palestinian terrorists from Gaza fired four missiles toward the financial capital on Thursday and Friday, prompting red alert air raid sirens to sound in the city.

The Defense Ministry deployed an upgraded Iron Dome battery in the Gush Dan area in the center of Israel on Saturday morning, after rushing its production in light of escalation. The battery is the fifth Iron Dome system operational in Israel.

Islamic Jihad leader Khalid Batsh said on Saturday that the launch of rockets at Tel Aviv from Gaza show “the rules of the game have changed in the region,” Palestinian news agency Ma’an reported.

Mitt Romney: “When I’m President of the United States, we will stand with Israel”

During tonight’s Presidential Debate in Boca Raton, FL, Mitt Romney was asked by moderator Bob Schieffer, would either of you be willing to declare that an attack on Israel is an attack on the United States? Romney’s response was … “When I’m President of the United States, we will stand with Israel”

Transcript of debate (CNN):

ROMNEY: Well, first of all, I want to underscore the same point the president mad,e which is that if I’m President of the United States, when I’m President of the United States, we will stand with Israel.

And if Israel is attacked, we have their back, not just diplomatically, not just culturally, but militarily. That’s number one.

Number two, with regards to Iran and the threat of Iran, there’s no question but that a nuclear Iran, a nuclear-capable Iran is unacceptable to America. It presents a threat not only to our friends but ultimately a threat to us to have Iran have nuclear material, nuclear weapons that could be used against us or used to be threatening to us.

The Gateway Pundit reminds us that Obama’s comments tonight rang a little hollow when it came to Israel. Obama also said he was with Israel; however, when he had his chance to put up or shut up, Obama failed. How soon Obama forgets that he invited Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi to meet with him in New York at the UN, but he blew off Israeli PM Netanyahu.

Another power moment for Romney during the debate was when he KO’d the president with Obama’s apology tour.

Number two, Mr. President, the reason I call it an apology tour is because you went to the Middle East and you flew to Egypt and to Saudi Arabia and to Turkey and Iraq. And by the way, you skipped Israel, our closest friend in the region, but you went to the other nations.

And by the way, they noticed that you skipped Israel. And then in those nations, and on Arabic TV, you said that America had been dismissive and derisive. You said that on occasion America had dictated to other nations.

The Eye Candy in Chief … The Seriousness of President Barack Obama: “I’ve Been Told I’m Just Eye Candy” … as the Middle East Burns & Millions of Americans are Unemployed

THE EYE CANDY IN CHIEF: AMERICA, WAKE UP … THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT FOUR MORE YEARS OF … KIM KARDASHIAN AS PRESIDENT?

The frivolity of Barack Obama … “The View” is more important than dealing with US issues? Partying with celebrities is more important than dealing with America’s pain?

Millions of Americans are unemployed, the US has had 43+ months if unemployment over 8%, 53% of college grads are under employed or unemployed, the federal debt is $16 trillion and counting, the Middle East is on fire, Iran is about to go nuclear, Obama refuses to meet with the Israeli PM Netanyahu, but … the President of the United States, the leader of behind of the free world Barack Hussein Obama had time in his busy schedule to go on “The View”.

The Eye Candy in Chief

While on “The View” Barack Hussein Obama actually said the following, “I’ve Been Told I’m Just Eye Candy”. Good grief. As reported at Weasel Zippers, Chrissy Matthews was nodding his head in agreement and got yet another thrill up his leg.

President Barack Obama on Monday sought to woo women voters at a taping of the daytime talk show “The View,” by flirting with his wife and bearing gifts for the hosts, but he could not escape tough questions on the economy that have dominated the election.

When host and veteran journalist Barbara Walters kidded Michelle Obama about bringing the president as her “date,” Obama quipped, “I’ve been told I’m just eye candy here.”

Priorities. What else would we expect from Barack Hussein Obama, who opted to go to a Las Vegas, Nevada fundraiser and campaign for president rather than being the President on the day America learned that Libyan Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans were killed? Leadership? This President is more concerned with his celebrity of the Presidency than he is actually doing the job as President. America cannot afford another 4 years.
