Megyn Kelly Ratings Hit New Low, Down by a Half of Debut For NBC

FILE THIS ONE UNDER, WHO DIDN’T SEE THIS COMING MEGYN KELLY’S RATING HITTING THE SKIDS.

As reported at The Hill, Megyn Kelly’s Sunday news magazine this week registered its lowest ratings since its debut on June 4, 2017. The latest installment of “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” drew 3.1 million viewers on Sunday, down by one half from her debut. Look for it to go even lower. She is in a no win situation as those that used to watch her on Fox News will no longer because she jumped ship and she is too conservative for NBC. Who is left holding the bag? Why NBC of course. Kelly was hired by NBC News earlier this year for a reported salary of $17 million annually. How anyone in the news is worth this much is beyond me. In what might turn out to be the worst career move ever, Kelly turned down a reported $25 million to stay at Fox News, but instead jumped to NBC in January. In what has to be nothing but embarrassing, no matter how NBC wants to spin it, Kelly’s live Sunday program again lost to repeats of “60 Minutes” on CBS and “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”

There is a greater question here … how do no talents in the media get paid so much? How are they worth it?

Megyn Kelly

Megyn Kelly’s Sunday news magazine this week registered its lowest ratings since its debut on June 4, according to Nielsen Research.

“Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” drew 3.1 million viewers on Sunday, or half of the 6.2 million viewers it brought in for its premiere, which featured an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Kelly, 46, was hired by NBC News earlier this year for a reported salary of $17 million annually.

The former attorney-turned-cable-news-star was offered a reported $25 million to stay at Fox News, but jumped to NBC in January. Kelly finished 2016 as the second-highest rated host in cable news behind only the since-ousted Bill O’Reilly, also of Fox News.

Kelly’s Sunday program again lost to repeats of “60 Minutes” on CBS and “America’s Funniest Home Videos” on ABC in both total viewers and the key 18-49 demographic advertisers covet most.

“60 Minutes” tallied 5.9 million viewers to win the 7 p.m. time slot.

Let’s remember what was predicted when Megyn “I think I am better than I am” Kelly left Fox News. Although, she pretty much created a situation for herself where she could not stay.

My personal opinion is that Megyn will become a small fish in a big liberal pond and probably rue the day she made this jump. I cannot believe that her career will be cultivated as it was at FOX. This almost appears to be addition by subtraction by NBC.

Sean Hannity 7/12/17: More MSM Double Standard …Where is the Democrat Outrage of Hillary Clinton/Ukraine Collusion? (VIDEO)

THE LIBERAL MSM HYPOCRISY AND DOUBLE STANDARD …

Watch below … this is the reason why Sean Hannity is the new #1 and why the LEFT wants to destroy him. It is too bad Republicans in the House and Senate didn’t have a spine also.

WOW … Former FOX News CEO Roger Ailes Dead at 77

FORMER FOX NEWS CEO ROGER AILES PASSES AWAY AT AGE 77 …

Roger Ailes

From The Drudge Report:

Statement from Elizabeth Ailes:

I am profoundly sad and heartbroken to report that my husband, Roger Ailes, passed away this morning. Roger was a loving husband to me, to his son Zachary, and a loyal friend to many. He was also a patriot, profoundly grateful to live in a country that gave him so much opportunity to work hard, to rise—and to give back. During a career that stretched over more than five decades, his work in entertainment, in politics, and in news affected the lives of many millions. And so even as we mourn his death, we celebrate his life...

From Heavy: Roger Ailes Dead: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Roger Ailes transformed cable news and then American politics by building Fox News into a ratings powerhouse.

Sean Hannity, a prime time host and longtime face of the network, said on Twitter: “Today America lost one of its great patriotic warriors.”

Ailes started Fox News almost from scratch in 1996. With its slogan “Fair & Balanced,” the network grew into not just the cable news ratings leader but a profound influence on the right wing of American politics.

Ailes was arguably the most powerful man in media when he suddenly lost his job last summer. Gretchen Carlson, a former Fox anchor, sued him for sexual harassment, and other women came forward to support her claims. Carlson settled with 21st Century Fox, the network’s parent company, for $20 million.

Carlson said there had been at least six instances when Ailes talked about her body, intimidated her or used demeaning language. At least six other women, including former Fox News star Megyn Kelly, came forward to accuse Ailes, who denied wrongdoing.

Could Fox News’ Kimberly Guilfoyle Be President Trump’s Next Press Secretary

MY FIRST CHOICE IS LAURA INGRAHAM, BUT KIMBERLY GUILFOYLE IS A GOOD ONE AS WELL …

As per the Mercury News, could Kimberly Guilfoyle of FOX News be the next White House press secretary? A shakeup appears to be needed in the White House, especially when it comes to messaging and dealing with the liberal MSM. Would this mean Sean Spicer is out, or just reassigned to another position? One thing is for certain, Trump needs an individual who can go toe to toe with the media and be three steps ahead of them. That is why a Laura Ingraham or Kimberly Guilfoyle would be perfect. Much like Tony Snow did back during the GWB years.

It’s time to get the message back on track and have someone who knows how to do it.

kimberly-guilfoyle

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the former first lady of San Francisco and current Fox News host, is in conversations with the Trump administration about becoming White House press secretary, she said in an interview with the Bay Area News Group on Monday night.

Guilfoyle said the idea of her taking the job or another press role in the White House has been “raised by a number of people” in the Trump administration, although she declined to go into specifics. She noted that she’s regularly in touch with members of the administration in the course of her job.

“I’m a patriot, and it would be an honor to serve the country,” Guilfoyle said. “I think it’d be a fascinating job. It’s a challenging job, and you need someone really determined and focused, a great communicator in there with deep knowledge to be able to handle that position.”

You need to fight fire with fire and Trump more than anyone knows you don’t bring a knife to a gun fight. The media and WH press have been out of control and have one agenda, end Trump’s presidency. President Trump better start addressing this and making it apparent to the American voters that the Democrats and media are looking to overturn an election and fight back now.

Fox News Anchor Kelly Wright Joins Lawsuit Alleging Racial Discrimination & Harassment at Fox

THE SHARKS ARE IN THE WATER … This time its racial discrimination.

Yet another lawsuit from previous employees at Fox News. Kelly Wright, a black reporter and anchor who has been with Fox News since 2003, is one of 13 plaintiffs, all people of color who are either current or former Fox News employees, to sue the network in the last month charging racial discrimination. Of course this comes on the foot heals of the ousting of Bill O Reilly and the accusations made against Fox News conservative host Sean Hannity. Most likely noticeably absent from the plaintiffs would be Charles Payne, Juan Williams, Larry Elder, or Arthel Neville .

Fox News’ legal troubles grew even larger Tuesday, with new plaintiffs, including an anchor, joining a suit alleging racial discrimination and harassment at the network.

The suit is now headlined by Kelly Wright, a black reporter and anchor who has been with Fox News since 2003. Wright claims that he “has been effectively sidelined and asked to perform the role of a ‘Jim Crow’ — the racist caricature of a Black entertainer.”

Wright’s allegations involve, among others, recently fired Fox News host Bill O’Reilly and current network co-president Bill Shine.

The suit claims that Wright was shunned from O’Reilly’s now-canceled program, “The O’Reilly Factor,” and that Shine “has demonstrated an obsession with race when it comes to discussions with Mr. Wright, including regularly asking him, ‘how do Black people react to you’ and ‘how do you think White viewers look at you?’”

In one alleged example, Wright claims that he was rebuffed in his efforts to show a series of positive stories about the African-American community on the “Factor” because, according to the complaint, “it showed Blacks in ‘too positive’ a light.”

It would appear that the liberal media are adding fuel to the fire as Breitbart opines, this Wednesday’s episode of NBC’s long-running crime drama Law and Order: SVU will focus on a powerful news executive who has been accused of sexually assaulting one of his network’s on-air personalities.

The episode appears to be inspired by former Fox News network chief Roger Ailes, who resigned following a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson.

While the episode appears to be styled to mimic the real-life drama surrounding Ailes, none of Ailes’ accusers, including former Fox News star anchor Megyn Kelly, have ever accused the former Fox News chief of rape.

UPDATE I: Kelly Wright Says, “Well, I’m not here to be a token, either. I’m here to be a valued employee.”

Just curious, what exactly was it that Wright was discriminated against? At any given time you could have gone to any one of the other networks. He stated that he admires and loves the very people he is going against. He should be respected for having principles, but he also claims to love the very people he is against. What makes Kelly Wright or any one of the others suing Fox News is not the same at CNN, MSNBC et all.
