During yesterdays presser, State Dept Spokesperson Heather Nauert reminded the liberal MSM exactly really what is alarming and it was not the comments made by President Donald Trump regarding, “fire and fury”.   The MSM acts as if a country making the threat of a nuclear attack is perfectly ok and should not be responded to. Nauert actually had to scold and lecture the media as to the gravity of the situation going on with North Korea as the MSM just wants to play silly season and attack Trump.  Sorry, the Obama days are over of apologies to our enemies and drawing faux lines in the sand. There is a reason why Trump was elected by the American people and the MSM still cannot stand it. The days of kicking the can down the road with North Korea, as other presidents have done of both parties, are over.

“Let’s consider what is alarming,” State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said. “What is alarming: two ICBM tests in less than a month, two nuclear tests that took place last year.”

“It is a big deal what is going on,” she added. “It is a concern to the world, not just the United States. Those are alarming actions, they’re provocative actions on the part of North Korea.”

“The United States is on the same page,” she said. “Whether it’s the White House, the State Department, the Department of Defense, we are speaking with one voice, and the world is, in fact, speaking with one voice.”

The main stream media and their liberal agenda has been in bed with the Democrat party for years. However, maybe never so much and maybe has never carried the water so much and defended a president’s agenda, than Barack Obama. This should be an easy transition for Josh Earnest, as his role as Obama’s press secretary has pretty much groomed him to be a liberal media shill. As Twitchy opines, this is yet another move on the part of the MSM to try and make themselves look legit, by hiring a guy who’s sole job was to cover Obama’s backside. Way to go media!!!

Former President Barack Obama’s final press secretary, Josh Earnest, was named an NBC News and MSNBC political analyst on Monday morning.

Earnest, a Kansas City native, served as White House press secretary from 2014 to 2017.

Axios obtained an internal memo from NBC New President Noah Oppenheim and MSNBC President Phil Griffin announcing the hire.

He joins a string of recent former White press secretaries who have joined network and cable news outlets after leaving government, the Hill noted.

Two of Obama’s former press secretaries, Jay Carney and Robert Gibbs, were hired by CNN and MSNBC, respectively, after leaving the White House.

Its exactly this type of investigative journalism that has MSNBC with less viewers than blogs do readers. In an effort to embarrass and destroy President Donald Trump, they instead have unwittingly helped him. Trump’s 2005 tax returns showed he made a lot of money. We already knew that, Trump is a successful business man. The 2005 return also shows that he paid a lot of taxes, $38 million to be exact.

The White House said on Tuesday that President Donald Trump paid $38 million in federal income taxes in 2005 — on $150 million in earnings — offering a small glimpse at the president’s personal finances, which Trump has so far kept almost entirely private.

The administration offered those details in a statement after journalist David Cay Johnston published two pages of tax information about the president, apparently from Trump’s 2005 return. The revelations were simultaneously broadcast on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow” show, which included an interview with Johnston. Based on the information on the two pages, Trump paid an effective tax rate of about 25 percent.

Greta Van Susteren is Headed to MSNBC

Greta Van Susteren is reported to be headed to MSNBC. Her new show will be at the 6 PM time slot and named ‘For the Record’ as opposed to the ones she left at Fox News, ‘On the Record’. Greta has now been at CNN, Fox News and now MSLSD. The media shake up continues. We are going to need a score card with all the recent changes. Hopefully Greta can get back into covering crime and legal issues, rather than politics. I do wish her well and good luck at MSNBC, she is going to need it.

Greta Van Susteren is joining MSNBC, taking over the channel’s 6 p.m. time slot with a new show called “For the Record,” the network announced Thursday.

Van Susteren’s show will feature both news and analysis, working as a bridge from MSNBC’s dayside news shows into its more opinion and analysis-focused primetime. She starts on Jan. 9, and the show will be based out of Washington D.C.

“Greta is a true pro with a proven record of tough journalism,” MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement. “Her broad range of experience and sharp news judgment will be of great value to MSNBC as we build on our momentum going into a new year and a new administration.”

Her show replaces Bloomberg’s “With All Due Respect” time slot, which ended in December.

“I’m thrilled to start my next chapter at MSNBC,” Van Susteren said. “The network is the right destination for the smart news and analysis I hope to deliver every day, and I look forward to joining the talented journalists and analysts I respect there.”

Brian Williams is the face of fake news. He was let go from his anchor position by NBC News for exactly that. Now this guy has the nerve to talk about fake news?

For years I’ve wondered if former NBC news anchor Brian Williams is an aspiring stand-up comic. What he said last night on The 11th Hour sealed it — this guy can make people laugh, albeit not always intentionally.

Williams’s repeated episodes of fictional story telling fobbed off as news, often accompanied by exaggerations of his journalistic heroics, led to his downfall from NBC in 2015. He was back seven months later in a lesser role, consigned to the purgatory that is late night on MSNBC.

Rather than tell you outright what Williams said, I defer to a video of his remarks. Better to hear it directly from him.

Yes, Williams actually said that, and while managing to keep a straight face. Just giving the guy credit where it’s due.

His decrying of “fake news” suggests that MSNBC is no place for this sort of thing. But if that were true, shouldn’t MSNBC refrain from having Brian Williams — of all people in the network’s employ — report on fake news to begin with? At the very least, shouldn’t some sort of disclaimer run across the bottom of the screen, something to the effect — “Warning: MSNBC anchor condemning fake news has repeatedly engaged in the practice.”
