BLS: Increased by 148,000 in December 2017 … Unemployment Rate Stays at 4.1%
From the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 148,000 in December. Job gains occurred in healthcare, construction, and manufacturing. Although the number of jobs were lower than expected, the underlying numbers are good. The lower amount can be attributed to retail, as this is the day of the internet and on-line shopping, analysts will have to account for that in the future.
In December, the unemployment rate was 4.1 percent for the third consecutive month. The number of unemployed persons, at 6.6 million, was essentially unchanged over the month. Over the year, the unemployment rate and the number of unemployed persons were down by 0.6 percentage point and 926,000, respectively. (See table A-1.)
Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rate for teenagers declined to 13.6 percent in December, offsetting an increase in November. In December, the unemployment rates for adult men (3.8 percent), adult women (3.7 percent), Whites (3.7 percent), Blacks (6.8 percent), Asians (2.5 percent), and Hispanics (4.9 percent) showed little or no change. (See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)
Among the unemployed, the number of new entrants decreased by 116,000 in December. New entrants are unemployed persons who never previously worked. (See table A-11.)
The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks or more) was little changed at 1.5 million in December and accounted for 22.9 percent of the unemployed. Over the year, the number of long-term unemployed declined by 354,000. (See table A-12.)
The labor force participation rate, at 62.7 percent, was unchanged over the month and over the year. The employment-population ratio was unchanged at 60.1 percent in December but was up by 0.3 percentage point over the year. (See table A-1.)
So which business sectors fared well?
Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 148,000 in December. Job gains occurred in healthcare, construction, and manufacturing. Employment in health care increased by 31,000 in December. Employment continued to trend up in ambulatory health care services (+15,000) and hospitals (+12,000). Health care added 300,000 jobs in 2017, compared with a gain of 379,000 jobs in 2016.
Construction added 30,000 jobs in December, with most of the increase among specialty trade contractors (+24,000). In 2017, construction employment increased by 210,000, compared with a gain of 155,000 in 2016.
In December, manufacturing employment rose by 25,000, largely reflecting a gain in durable goods industries (+21,000). Manufacturing added 196,000 jobs in 2017, following little net change in 2016 (-16,000).
Employment in food services and drinking places changed little in December (+25,000). Over the year, the industry added 249,000 jobs, about in line with an increase of 276,000 in 2016.

Democrat Rep. Keith Ellison Endorses Antifa
REALLY AMERICA, YOU WANT TO ELECT A PARTY INTO POWER THAT ENDORSES ANTIFA?
From Powerline comes the chilling reality that Democrats actually endorse an organization that promotes polity violence. That is correct, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MI) endorsed Antifa. Take a good look what the Democrat party has become. Antifi should be considered a domestic terror organization, not endorsed by U.S. Representatives. Antifa is the moral equivalence of Neo-Nazi’s; however, much worse. They actually have support of members of Congress. Ellison tweeted: At @MoonPalaceBooks and I just found the book that strike [sic] fear in the heart of @realDonaldTrump.
If you sometimes get the feeling that the Democratic Party has gone mad, you’re right. It has. Exhibit A is Keith Ellison, deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee, who yesterday endorsed the fascist Antifa movement, which closely resembles the Brownshirts of the 1930s. Ellison tweeted this photo of himself with Antifa’s manifesto.
And to make matters worse you have the liberal media backing the play of this misguided member of Congress in Newsweek trying to spin for Ellison. The hacks at Newsweek want to defend Antifa and call all those who would oppose any type of violence, the alt-right. Seriously? This is shameful. So some how its a bad thing to be against an organization that promotes political violence? Does this mean that the liberal and bias MSM will defend the Neo-Nazi’s as well? What’s the difference?

ADP: US Private Sector Added 250,000 Jobs in December 2017 vs. Estimate of 190,000
DONALD TRUMP ,,, MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!
As reported at CNBC, U.S. Companies hired 250,000 new workers to close out the year in the month of December, well above Wall Street expectations of 190,000.But instead of concentrating on the amazing things that are taking place in the US, the liberal bias media would rather focus on a book and a perceived pissing contest between Steve Bannon and President Trump. Look around you America to the things that actually affect you. Today, in the wake of this jobs report The DOW will go over 25,000!!! And in February you will see the affects of the GOP tax cuts in your pay check. Keep you eye on the ball America, Trump is actually doing amazing things for us and making America Great Again.
Private sector job creation surged in December as a strong holiday shopping season pushed companies to hire more workers, according to a report Thursday from ADP and Moody’s Analytics.
Companies hired 250,000 new workers to close out the year, well above Wall Street expectations of 190,000. The month was the best for job creation since March and topped the 185,000 in November, a number that was revised lower by 5,000.
The total brought 2017′s private payroll growth as gauged by ADP and Moody’s to 2.54 million, an average of 212,000 a month.
Job growth was broad-based, as professional and business services led the way with 72,000 new positions. The education and health services sector was next at 50,000 and trade, transportation and utilities contributed 45,000. Wall Street-related payrolls grew by 19,000.
The information services sector was the only one to lose jobs, reporting a drop of 4,000.
By size, businesses with between 50 and 499 employees added 100,000 jobs while small firms hired 94,000 and large companies contributed 56,000 to the total.
“The job market ended the year strongly,” Mark Zandi, Moody’s chief economist said in a statement. “Robust Christmas sales prompted retailers and delivery services to add to their payrolls. The tight labor market will get even tighter, raising the specter that it will overheat.”
Overall, service-related companies were responsible for the balance of jobs, with 222,000 new hires. Goods-producing industries added the rest, with construction growing by 16,000 and manufacturing by 9,000.

Baltimore, MD Residents Blame 2017 Record-High Murder Rate On Lower Police Presence
DON’T ASK FOR THINGS THEY JUST MIGHT COME TRUE …
2017 was yet another record for murders in Baltimore, Maryland. For the third year in a row Baltimore had more than 300 murders. Many point to the lack of police presence following the riots. But wait, wasn’t it those from Baltimore that were complaining about the police and their actions? Now they want a greater police presence to curtail crime? Sorry Charlie, you can’t have it both ways.
For the third year in a row, Baltimore, Md., has had more than 300 murders, reaching a new record of murders per number of residents in 2017.
Some residents attribute the high murder rate to relaxed police patrols in the city following high-profile cases of police brutality. Officers have backed off in neighborhoods, like the one where Freddie Gray was arrested.
The Rev. Kinji Scott, a pastor in Baltimore who’s held positions in local city government, says the opposite needs to happen.
“We wanted the police there,” Scott says. “We wanted them engaged in the community. We didn’t want them beating the hell out of us, we didn’t want that.”
He’s among activists who are calling for police reform to reduce the violence in Baltimore and several other high-crime cities across the U.S. that he says haven’t seen change. That change begins with a conversation between the communities directly involved, Scott says.
Jailed Perv Anthony Weiner had CLASSIFIED Emails Belonging to Wife Huma Abedin on his Laptop – Which the FBI Seized after he Sexted 15-year-old girl
5 CLASSIFIED EMAILS FOUND ON WEINER’S LAPTOP!!!
As reported at the Daily Mail, of the 2,800 of Huma Abedin’s work-related emails and documents that the FBI found on disgraced husband Anthony Weiner’s computer, 5 were deemed to be classified!!! The FBI found five classified emails about delicate talks with Middle East leaders including some from Israel, Hamas, Saudi Arabia and the Palestinian Authority. How were all off these individuals not prosecuted for this? Favoritism and a double standard from James Comey’s bias FBI of course. And who was at the center of these classified emails, Hillary Clinton of course. Which can further explain the lack of prosecutions and investigations from Comey’s FBI. Now, where is the Attorney General? These are the crimes that need to be prosecuted, one that involve putting our national security at risk, not a bias, political witch hunt like the Mueller investigation.
Paging Attorney General Sessions, where are you?
At least five emails determined to be classified were found among 2,800 documents stored on a laptop belonging to Anthony Weiner, whose then-wife Huma Abedin was deputy chief of staff to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The State Department released hundreds of pages of materials Friday afternoon, including a total of eight pages classified at the ‘confidential level,’ the third most sensitive level the U.S. government uses.
The emails date from 2010, 2011 and 2012 and concern discussions with Middle East leaders including some from Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Hamas and the Palestinian Authority.
Large portions, including entire pages, were redacted before the documents’ release.
Three of them were sent either to or from an address called ‘BBB Backup,’ which one email identifies as a backup of a Blackberry Bold 9700, presumably belonging to Abedin.
One page of a document released Friday is heavily redacted and marked ‘classified’; it mentions ‘update on Hamas-PA talks,’ referring to the Palestinian Authority.
Another is a four-page ‘call sheet’ meant to guide Clinton through a sensitive phone call with Benjamin Netanyahu.
A third is a detailed rundown of issues Clinton was expecting to address during a call with Saud bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who served as Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister until 2015.
