GOP Representatives Refer James Comey, Hillary Clinton, McCabe & ex-AG Lynch for Criminal Investigation

Does Attorney General Jeff Sessions have the guts to do the right thing?

From FOX News, nearly a dozen Republican members of Congress have sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department and FBI seeking an investigation of former bureau boss James Comey, his deputy Andrew McCabe, ex-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Hillary Clinton in connection with 2016 campaign controversies. If Trump is going to be investigated, why shouldn’t Clinton, Comey, McCabe and Lynch also treated in a similar manner? Or do we have two sets of standards?

Attorney General Jeff Sessions already announced last month he had assigned a federal prosecutor to review some of those broader issues, while resisting calls for a second special counsel. But the referral represents an escalation of Republican pressure to probe top Democrats and Trump critics.

Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., and 10 other House lawmakers want an investigation into potential violations that cover everything from the handling of the Clinton email probe to the anti-Trump dossier’s funding to the Uranium One controversy. They made their case in a letter sent Wednesday to Sessions, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and U.S. Attorney John Huber, whom Sessions named to lead the previously announced evaluation.

Complaining about “dissimilar degrees of zealousness” in the investigations into Clinton and Trump campaign associates, they wrote:

“Because we believe that those in positions of high authority should be treated the same as every other American, we want to be sure that the potential violations of law outlined below are vetted appropriately.”

They named Comey, Clinton, Lynch, McCabe, FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page and several others as figures who should be investigated.

Oscars TV Ratings Drop to All-Time Low … 26.5 Million Viewers

AND THE OSCAR FOR THE WORST EVER TV RATINGS ACADEMY AWARD SHOW GOES TO … 

According to the The Hollywood Reporter, the 2018 Oscar TV ratings fell to an all-time low. Hosted by the smug and self-righteous Jimmy Kimmel, the Academy Award telecast dropped 19% from 2017. But what did anyone expect? Hollywood produced less than stellar movies and a bunch of individuals who live in glass house preaching to us. The American public has grown weary of the liberal political rallies that masquerade as an award show.

These are the people who have looked the other way as members in their ivory tower community have sexually exploited, assaulted and raped. They now jump on the “#me too” bandwagon and look to throw accusations at anyone and justify that rape and a casual comment is the same. The cesspool of Hollywood is imploding and these individuals still look to point the fingers at others. Keep it Hollywood, there is always next year and your ratings can go even lower.

The telecast stumbles an unfortunate 19 percent from 2017.

A comparatively uneventful Oscar telecast led the way on TV Sunday night — though updated numbers have the telecast somewhat predictably stumbling to an all-time low.

The kudocast, nearly four hours long, stumbled 19 percent from the previous year to 26.5 million viewers. That’s easily the least-watched Oscars in history, trailing 2008 by more than 5 million. Overnight returns had the lengthy ABC broadcast averaging a 18.9 rating among households between 8 and 11 p.m. ET. Compared to the same stat for 2017, the night the wrong best picture winner was named, that was down a more modest 16 percent.

Last year’s Academy Awards, which earned a 22.4 overnight rating, ultimately fetched 32.9 million viewers for ABC, as well as a handsome 9.1 rating among adults 18-49. Still, those numbers reflected the second-lowest in Academy history. (ABC did not immediately report the adults 18-49 rating for Sunday’s Oscars, and Nielsen won’t widely distribute that information until Tuesday.)

Flashback … remember in 2003 when Hollywood gave convicted child rapist Roman Polanki Best Director and all the stars stood and cheered, including Meryl Streep. I think that is all we need to know about the hypocrites in Hollywood.

DUI: Twice Deported Illegal Alien Manuel Orrego-Savala Kills Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson & Uber Driver Jeffrey Monroe

37 year old, twice deported, twice arrested for DUI, Manuel Orrego-Savala is suspected of driving drunk yet again and is responsible for the deaths of 26-year-old Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson and 54-year-old Uber driver Jeffrey Monroe. The fatal car accident took place at 4 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 70 in Indiana. According to FOX59, investigators believe Monroe was Jackson’s Uber driver and Jackson was the passenger,. The station said at some point during the ride Jackson became sick, and the pair were hit on the emergency shoulder of the highway after Monroe pulled over. Orrego-Savala fled the scene but was arrested shortly thereafter by the responding officer.

When is enough, enough? How many American citizens have to be killed by illegals before we take action to really prevent them from being in this country, not treating it like a joke?

The man suspected of driving drunk and fatally striking an Indianapolis Colts player and his Uber driver early Sunday had twice been deported and was in the country illegally, police confirmed Monday.

Police say Manuel Orrego-Savala, 37, had a blood-alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit when he hit and killed Edwin Jackson, a 26-year-old Colts linebacker, and 54-year-old Jeffrey Monroe, Jackson’s Uber driver, around 4 a.m. Sunday.

Orrego-Savala is from Guatemala, according to Indiana State Police. He was first deported in 2007 and again in 2009 following arrests in San Francisco, according to a spokesperson for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. ICE officials say Orrego-Savala has a prior conviction in California for driving under the influence.

Wake up America, especially those on the LEFT … this never had to happen. This was completely preventable had we had a border that actually kept illegals out. But Democrats would rather shut down the U.S. government in favor of illegals in America.

Orrego-Savala’s history in the U.S. dates back more than a decade. ICE spokesperson Nicole Alberico said in an email that Orrego-Savala is believed to have entered the country on or around July 1, 2004.

He was convicted of driving under the influence in Redwood City, Calif., in 2005, Alberico said. It was unclear what happened immediately following his conviction.

He was once again arrested by ICE in San Francisco in October 2006 for being in the country illegally. He was removed to Guatemala for the first time on Jan. 17, 2007.

He was again arrested by deportation officers in San Francisco on March 26, 2009, and was removed to Guatemala for the second time on May 12, 2009.

It is unknown when he returned to the U.S. and at what point he arrived in Indiana.

According to the state police, the crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday along the westbound lanes of I-70, just west of Holt Road.

Jackson and Monroe, of Avon, were standing near Monroe’s stopped vehicle when Orrego-Savala’s Ford F-150 pick-up truck drove onto the emergency shoulder and struck them both.

Democrats & Schumer Blink … End Government Shutdown … Trump & GOP Victorious

In the game of political chicken, Democrats blinked first and voted to end the government shutdown. Yes, this was a win for President Trump and the Republican party. Democrats reading the tea leaves and the polls knew that they were overwhelming on the wrong side of shutting a government down for DACA. Even the New York Times admits the Democrats blinked. Democrats overplayed their hand and had to cave. The Democrats were prioritizing illegal aliens over the U.S. military. Even the most insane in the Democrat party knew that was a losing battle ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.

Ingraham: Trump shuts down the Democrats

The Senate on Monday was on track to vote to reopen the federal government, after Senate Democrats agreed to let the bill through even though it doesn’t include immigration language they are seeking.

Democrats on Friday opposed a bill to fund the government through Feb. 16 because it didn’t include language to help the Dreamers, that group of immigrants who came to the U.S. illegally as children.

But Democrats changed their mind on Monday, after getting assurances from Republicans that the Senate would work on immigration next as long as the government was reopened, and hold votes soon. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said that was enough to get Democrats to support the spending bill.

“We will vote today to reopen the government to continue negotiating a global agreement,” Schumer said.

The Far-Left is livid at Democrat Minority Leader Schumer after making the deal to reopen the government after just 3 days. They are calling him a sell-out. Thus it went from the #ShumerShutdown to the #SchumerSellout. Is the Democrat party ready for that civil war they are about to have come 2020?

Liberal activists are furious with Democratic senators after most of them agreed to reopen the federal government without a firm path to shielding young immigrants from deportation.

As the third day of the shutdown dawned, liberal advocates and immigration groups fired off a joint statement blasting as “unacceptable” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s offer merely to hold a vote on immigration — with no promises for action from the House or White House — in exchange for Democratic votes to reopen the government. But three hours later, Democratic senators agreed to just those terms — sparking anger on the left.

But activist groups that have provided his caucus crucial firepower during fights against GOP health care and tax bills were not buying that explanation.

Murshed Zaheed, political director of the liberal group CREDO Action, said Democrats’ decision shows Schumer’s willingness to betray progressives.

“Call it the #SchumerSellout,” he said in an interview. “Hashtagged.”
