Des Moines Police are describing the shootings as ambush-style attacks.

At an early morning news conference Sgt. Paul Parizek with the Des Moines Police Department called the attacks a “cowardly act.” He also said, “Somebody out there is shooting police officers. We hope we find him before anybody else gets hurt, we definitely don’t want any of the public, in the community to get hurt but there is a clear and present danger to police officers right now.”

UPDATE I: Des Moines Police Sgt. Paul Parizek discusses the ambush … “There is a clear and present danger to police officers right now.”

As of a 5 a.m. press conference, police were still notifying the family members of the slain officers and planned to withhold the officers’ names, years of service and other details until later in the day, Parizek said.

Streets at both shooting scenes are closed as officers investigate, and classes have been canceled at Urbandale schools today. In Urbandale, the intersection of 70th Street and Aurora Avenue is closed, and in Des Moines, Merle Hay Road is closed between Urbandale Avenue and Hickman Road.

Police had no information on suspects as of 5 a.m. They could not say how many shots were fired or how many people may have been shooting.

FBI Found 650,000 Emails on a laptop that Belonged to Former Rep. Anthony Weiner & His Estranged Wife and Hillary Clinton Confidant Huma Abedin

650,000 EMAILS!!!

So what would cause the FBI director James Comey to send a letter to Congress to amend his Hillary Clinton email scandal testimony? How about 650,000 emails found on a lap tap that was used by both Anthony Weiner and his estranged wife and Hillary Clinton confidant. Not 65 emails. not 650, not 6,500, not 65,000  … but 650,000 emails!!! Are you kidding me? As stated at Legal Insurrection, Abedin is saying she has no idea how those emails got on the co-owned computer, and considering that saying otherwise would reveal a crime. Really? I guess her attorneys have informed her the penalty for perjury and obstruction of justice. Sorry America, you don’t just misplace this many emails and forget to hand over the device to the FBI when they ordered it.

Hillary and Huma

The surprise disclosure that agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation are taking a new look at Hillary Clinton’s email use lays bare, just days before the election, tensions inside the bureau and the Justice Department over how to investigate the Democratic presidential nominee.

Investigators found 650,000 emails on a laptop that they believe was used by former Rep. Anthony Weiner and his estranged wife Huma Abedin, a close Clinton aide, and underlying metadata suggests thousands of those messages could have been sent to or from the private server that Mrs. Clinton used while she was secretary of state, according to people familiar with the matter.

It will take weeks, at a minimum, to determine whether those messages are work-related from the time Ms. Abedin served with Mrs. Clinton at the State Department; how many are duplicates of emails already reviewed by the FBI; and whether they include either classified information or important new evidence in the Clinton email probe.

Officials had to await a court order to begin reviewing the emails—which they received over the weekend, according to a person familiar with the matter—because they were uncovered in an unrelated probe of Mr. Weiner.

The new investigative effort, disclosed by FBI Director James Comey on Friday, shows a bureau at times in sharp internal disagreement over matters related to the Clintons, and how to handle those matters fairly and carefully in the middle of a national election campaign. Even as the probe of Mrs. Clinton’s email use wound down in July, internal disagreements within the bureau and the Justice Department surrounding the Clintons’ family philanthropy heated up, according to people familiar with the matter.

Wow, just wow!!! The Democrats and Hillary Clinton are crying foul for this so-called unprecedented action by Comey. Maybe the real unprecedented action is the willful, wanted and corruption by Hillary Clinton and her private email server and the lengths she went to cover her crimes up?

UPDATE I: Poll – Over a Third of Likely Voters Less Willing to Back Hillary Clinton After FBI Bombshell.

A poll released Sunday shows more than 30 percent of likely voters say they are less inclined to support Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton after the FBI announced Friday the agency is reviewing newly-discovered emails potentially related to Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state.

The ABC/Washington Post tracking poll was conducted from Tuesday to Friday, which means the survey’s 1,781 respondents could only be asked on the final day about the revelations regarding the new emails.

Watergate’s Carl Bernstein Says FBI Would Not Reopen Case Unless New Evidence Was “A Real Bombshell”

Carl Bernstein of ‘Watergate’ fame says the Director of the FBI, Comey would not reopen the Hillary Clinton private email server case unless the new evidence was “a real bombshell.”

RCP:

CARL BERNSTEIN: Well, there’s no question that the e-mails have always been the greatest threat to her candidacy for president, that her conduct in regard to the e-mails is really indefensible and if there was going to be more information that came out, it was the one thing, as I said on the air last night, actually that could really perhaps affect this election.

We don’t know what this means yet except that it’s a real bombshell. And it is unthinkable that the Director of the FBI would take this action lightly, that he would put this letter forth to the Congress of the United States saying there is more information out there about classified e-mails and call it to the attention of congress unless it was something requiring serious investigation. So that’s where we are…

Is it a certainty that we won’t learn before the election? I’m not sure it’s a certainty we won’t learn before the election.

One thing is, it’s possible that Hillary Clinton might want to on her own initiative talk to the FBI and find out what she can, and if she chooses to let the American people know what she thinks or knows is going on. People need to hear from her…

I think if she has information available to her from the FBI or any other source as to her knowledge of what these e-mails might be, hopefully she will let us know what they are and what is under discussion here.

Right now we’re all talking in a vacuum but I want to add here that in the last, oh, 36, 48 hours, there has been an undercurrent of kind of speculative discussion among some national security people that something might surface in the next few days about e-mails, and I think the expectation in this chatter — and I took it as just chatter but informed chatter, to some extent — was that it would relate to another round of WikiLeaks e-mails, which our Justice Department people seem to be saying is not the case, but there has been some noise in the national security community the last day or two of this kind of possibility of some kind of revelation.

But this is her achilles heel and we have to remember that it also comes on the — back to the word heel — of the revelations about the Clinton Foundation. So the confluence of all of this is bad for her as it stands now but with some knowledge she might be able to stop, turn things around, and give us some idea of what’s going on in a way we might not otherwise know, and also it’s very possible that some members of congress very quickly are going to get an idea of what these e-mails are, and what this is all about, and for whatever purpose put some information out there.

QUID PRO QUO … Hillary Clinton’s Email Problems Just Got Real … Undersecretary of State Patrick Kennedy asked the FBI to Change Classification Decisions in exchange for Favors

ARE YOU KIDDING ME … THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF A QUID PRO QUO AND ITS EVEN REFERENCED IN THE FRIGGIN EMAIL!!!

From the WAPO, State Department contacted the FBI to change the classification of emails from classified to unclassified and offered a quid pro quo in exchange. Just how corrupt is the Obama administration and to what lengths will they go to cover up for Hillary Clinton? How does Patrick Kennedy have a job? Is there anything that was legal and done properly with these emails? But these are the lengths that every one is willing to go to protect a corrupt individual like Hillary Clinton.

AMERICA … WAKE THE HELL UP AND PUT AN END TO THIS GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION!!! DO NOT REWARD THE MOST CORRUPT POLITICIAN OF OUR TIMES WITH THE PRESIDENCY.

quid pro quo

For the past few months, Hillary Clinton’s decision to exclusively use a private email server while at the State Department has receded as a campaign issue as Donald Trump’s comments about women have come to dominate the daily chatter about the 2016 race.

On Monday, however, the various issues associated with Clinton’s email setup came roaring back. According to emails released by the FBI, Undersecretary of State Patrick Kennedy asked the FBI to ease up on classification decisions in exchange for allowing more FBI agents in countries where they were not permitted to go. The words “quid pro quo” were used to describe the proposed exchange by the FBI official. (The State Department insists it was no such thing; “This allegation is inaccurate and does not align with the facts,” said State Department deputy spokesman Mark Toner in a statement. “To be clear: the State Department did upgrade the document at the request of the FBI when we released it back in May 2015.”)
