Trenton, NJ Hostage Standoff Over: 38 Year Old Suspect Gerald Tyrone Murphy Shot to Death by Officers

Hostage standoff in Trenton, NJ is over with some disturbing preliminary findings …

The hostage stand off in Trenton, NJ came to an end early Sunday morning when officers shot and killed 38 year old suspect Gerald Tyrone Murphy. In the end after this 36 hour standoff, three are dead, including the hostage taker, 44 year old Carmelita Stevens, the mother of the children, and a young boy about 13 years old. According to police, a preliminary investigation found that Carmelita Stevens and her son were killed approximately two weeks ago.  Also killed was the suspect, identified as Gerald “Skip” Murphy.  Three children were rescued from the home, a 4-year old boy, and 16  and 18 year-old girls, who are being treated at a local hospital.

Police say the bodies of a woman and a 13-year-old boy have been found after a days-long standoff in New Jersey, and a suspect was killed in the rescue of three children inside the home.

Authorities said at a news conference Sunday that officers stormed the house and shot 38-year-old Gerald Tyrone Murphy because he was threatening one of the children. Murphy later died of his injuries.

The standoff ended at 3:45 a.m. Sunday, about 37 hours after it began. Murphy had been holed-up in a two-story red brick house in South Trenton since Friday afternoon.

Boston Marathon Bomb DNA Does Not Match Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s Wife, Al-Qaeda Magazine & Other Jihadist Material Found on Her Computer … But FBI Still Wants to Chat, but Katherine Russell Has Stopped Talking

CBS News reports that the female DNA and finger prints found on the bomb fragments from the Boston Marathon bombing does not match that of Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s wife, Katherine Russell. The source of the genetic material on the pressure cooker bomb remains unknown. However, authorities still want to chat with the wife of the deceased Boston Marathon bombing suspect. Katherine Russell is not considered a suspect and has not been charged with anything, but investigators still want to question her to find out what, if anything, of her husband, of Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s, plans. But now Russell has stopped talking and is no longer cooperation with police. All the signs of an innocent person with nothing to hide.

That could end up being anybody – a store clerk, one of the victims of the bombings – and they may never know,” said CBS News senior correspondent John Miller.

Russell is not a suspect and has not been charged with anything, but investigators still want to question her to find out what, if anything, she knew of her husband’s plans.

Miller said since the FBI’s visit Monday, she’s basically stopped talking.

Authorities are continuing to focus on the widow of Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev after finding al-Qaeda’s Inspire magazine and other radical Islamist material on her computer. Because every law abiding, America loving Muslim hangs out reading  al-Qaeda’s mags and reads radicals Islamist material and she just never knew what he was doing.

Federal law enforcement officials are sharpening their focus on the widow of the dead suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing after finding al-Qaeda’s Inspire magazine and other radical Islamist material on her computer, according to law enforcement officials.

The probe of the computer belonging to Katherine Russell, 24, widow of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, is part of the effort by investigators to determine whether Russell knew anything about the April 15 bombing plot or helped her husband and his brother, Dzhokhar, hide from authorities, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing investigation.

Russians Wiretap Recorded Tamerlan Tsarnaev Talking Jihad with His Mother Zubeidat Tsarnaeva

The Russians secretly recorded in a wiretap Tamerlan Tsarnaev discussing Jihad with his mother Zubeidat Tsarnaeva. Russian authorities had previously turned over information to the United States that it had on Tamerlan and his mother. The Tsarnaevs are ethnic Chechens who emigrated from southern Russia to the Boston area over the past 11 years. However, they did not turn over this wiretap. Tamerlan Tsarnaev and Zubeidat Tsarnaeva were on US terror watch lists and questioned by the FBI, yet on May 1, 2013 Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his younger brother Dzhohkar, detonated two homemade bombs near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three and injuring more than 260. The question remains, why did  Vladmir Putin and the Russians not provide this piece of information when warning the US about Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s extremists actions? We will never know if the FBI would have acted on such intel or whether it would have prevented the bombing. Then again, we do not know if it would have either.

Russian authorities secretly recorded a telephone conversation in 2011 in which one of the Boston bombing suspects vaguely discussed jihad with his mother, officials said Saturday, days after the U.S. government finally received details about the call.

In another conversation, the mother of now-dead bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev was recorded talking to someone in southern Russia who is under FBI investigation in an unrelated case, officials said.

The conversations are significant because, had they been revealed earlier, they might have been enough evidence for the FBI to initiate a more thorough investigation of the Tsarnaev family.

As it was, Russian authorities told the FBI only that they had concerns that Tamerlan and his mother were religious extremists. With no additional information, the FBI conducted a limited inquiry and closed the case in June 2011.

In early 2011, the Russian FSB internal security service intercepted a conversation between Tamerlan and his mother vaguely discussing jihad, according to U.S. officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the investigation with reporters.

The two discussed the possibility of Tamerlan going to Palestine, but he told his mother he didn’t speak the language there, according to the officials, who reviewed the information Russia shared with the U.S.

As reported at CBS News, in another conversation, the mother of now-dead bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev was recorded talking to someone in southern Russia who is under FBI investigation in an unrelated case.

Why Attorney General Eric Holder Initiate the Legal Process of Miranda for Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to Stop Talking to FBI and Lawyer-Up? … District Court Judge Marianne Bowler Arrived at the Hospital & Reads Terrorist Miranda Rights (VIDEO)

There is still a war on terror, isn’t there?

FOX news Megyn Kelly was shocked and astonished at the revelation as are many Americans as to how and why the only remaining suspect,  Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, of the Boston Marathon bomber was read his Miranda Rights … FBI Was ‘Shocked’ to See Judge ‘Waltz’ in and Give Suspect Miranda Rights. How is it possible that just 16 hours into a FBI interrogation that District Court Judge Marianne Bowler shows up unannounced to the hospital room and reads the terrorist suspect his Miranda rights? What intel did we lose because of this legal screw up? According to reports, the suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was singing like a bird. That was until he was read his rights. Who gave this judge the go ahead?  Watch the VIDEO below and your blood will boil. What does AG Eric Holder and this administration want to hide, the fact that there may have been foreign state sponsored terrorism and the two bombers did not act alone? The interrogation of this suspect had to do with US National Security, not whether he was innocent or guilty of the bombings. What are they hiding?

Two officials with knowledge of the FBI briefing on Capitol Hill said the FBI was against stopping the investigators’ questioning and was stunned that the judge, Justice Department prosecutors and public defenders showed up, feeling valuable intelligence may have been sacrificed as a result.

The FBI had been questioning Tsarnaev for 16 hours before the judge called a start to the court proceeding, officials familiar with the Capitol Hill briefing told Fox News.

More From FOX News:

The FBI filed a federal criminal complaint against the 19-year-old on Sunday, and federal District Court Judge Marianne Bowler arrived at the hospital where he is being treated to preside over his initial hearing Monday, when she read him his Miranda rights.

[FBI officials told The Associated Press Wednesday that Tsarnaev acknowledged to investigators his role in the attacks before he was advised of his constitutional rights. He reportedly said he was only recently recruited by his brother to be part of the attack.]

But Fox News’ sources say there was confusion about Bowler’s timing, with some voicing concerns that investigators were not given enough time to question Dzhokhar under the “public safety exception” invoked by the Justice Department.

Moreover, the FBI informed lawmakers that the suspect had been providing valuable intelligence, but stopped talking once the magistrate judge read him his rights.

More from the Politico:  House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers slammed a judicial process that prematurely halted FBI questioning of the Boston bombing suspect and said it provided the suspect with Miranda rights too quickly.

“We need to make sure that the court doesn’t believe that they are now in the position to intercede in that public safety administration of an interrogation,” Rogers (R-Mich.) said on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports.” “That’s really dangerous and concerning, especially when the FBI will tell you, ‘we weren’t quite finished with him. We didn’t really believe that we had all that we could get out of him.’”
