Shortly after his arrival in the building and over the course of approximately one hour, Alexis used the Remington 870 shotgun and a Beretta handgun he obtained during the course of his shooting to kill 12 victims and wound four surviving victims before he was shot and killed by law enforcement officers. Investigation to date has determined that Alexis acted alone.
The following timeline details Alexis’ activity during the morning of September 16, 2013:

Missing 16 Year Old Hannah Anderson Found Safe in Idaho … Murderer & Kidnapping Suspect James Lee DiMaggio Shot Dead by FBI (Video of News Confernce)
The man hunt is over for 40 year old James Lee DiMaggio …
James Lee DiMaggio has been shot dead by the FBI. Also, 16 year old Hannah Anderson who has been missing since August 3, 2013 has been found safe. DiMaggio was killed not far from the remote Idaho location where a group of horseback riders had seen him and Hannah earlier in the week. Authorities have declined to say just exactly how DiMaggio was killed. The teenager was rescued near Morehead Lake, Idaho, where an FBI tactical agent killed her alleged kidnapper. This was the best possible outcome that could have come from this bizarre abduction. Hannah Anderson has been taken to the hospital for observation. DiMaggio, is was the prime suspect in the murder of both 44 year old Christina Anderson and 8 year old Ethan Anderson.
James Lee DiMaggio is Dead, Dead!!!
This is most likely the best outcome that could have resulted from this bizarre abduction. Once DiMaggio had killed both Christina and Ethan Anderson, there was no way he was likely going to be taken alive. The real issue was whether Hannah Anderson would be found unharmed. Thankfully, in the end she was.
16 year old Hannah Anderson found safe!!!
The man accused of kidnapping 16-year-old Hannah Anderson was killed in the Idaho wilderness Saturday, but the teen was found safe and “appears to be in pretty good shape,” San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore said.
Gore said the suspect, James Lee DiMaggio, was shot by the FBI.
“Obviously we would have liked Mr. DiMaggio to surrender and face justice in a court of law, but that was not the case,” Gore said. Hannah will be “thoroughly evaluated” at a hospital before detectives talk to her, he said.
Hannah’s father, Brett Anderson, was notified this afternoon and was “very relieved,” Gore said at a press conference in San Diego. Plans are in progress to reunite him with his daughter Sunday. She was taken to a hospital for observation.

UPDATE I: Abducted teen found safe; alleged kidnapper killed by law enforcement.
Hannah Anderson has been found alive east of Cascade and is safe, according the Ada County Sheriff’s Office. San Diego Sheriff Bill Gore said James DiMaggio, the man believed to have killed her mother and brother and kidnapped Hannah, has been killed.
DiMaggio’s campsite was spotted from the air, then ground units were sent into the area, Gore said in an evening press conference in California. An FBI agent killed DiMaggio at the north end of Morehead Lake; the details of the confrontation have not yet been provided. Hannah is “in pretty good shape,” Gore said, and will likely be reunited Sunday with her father, who is headed to Idaho.
A press conference is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Cascade. We’ll provide further updates as they are available.

Father of Missing Hannah and Ethan Anderson Pleads for James DiMaggio to Release His Daughter … Um, Why Didn’t the Father Reference his Son?
The father of two Southern California missing children, 16 year old Hannah Anderson and 8 year old Ethan Anderson, pleaded for their suspected abductor, James DiMaggio, to release his daughter. An AMBER ALERT was issued for Hannah and Ethan after their mother, 44 year old Christina Anderson was found dead in a burned out home owned by suspected kidnapper James DiMaggio. It was later determined by authorities that Christina Anderson had been murdered.
The manhunt continues for James DiMaggio, who is believed to be driving a 2013 blue Nissan Versa with the California license plate 6WCU986. Authorities believe that DiMaggio could be headed to either Texas or Canada. The FBI has joined the search for the missing children and suspected abductor James DiMaggio.
DiMaggio, who is 5-foot-9 and weighs about 150 pounds, is thought to be driving a blue 2013 Nissan Versa with California plates 6WCU986. He has a goatee and brown hair.
Hannah Anderson has blonde hair and is 5-foot-7 and weighs about 115 pounds.
Ethan Anderson stands just under 5-feet tall and weighs 65 pounds. He has sandy blonde hair.
The father of two Southern California children who went missing after their mother was killed pleaded Tuesday for their suspected abductor to release his daughter.
A massive manhunt is under way for James DiMaggio, whom law enforcement authorities describe as a friend of the mother, Christina Anderson.
The whereabouts of Anderson’s children, Hannah, 16, and Ethan, 8, are unknown. Investigators believe they may be with DiMaggio, 40, the owner and sole resident of the burned home where Anderson’s body was found, along with the unidentified remains of a child.
“Jim, I can’t fathom what you were thinking. The damage is done. I’m begging you to let my daughter go. You’ve taken everything else,” Brett Anderson, the children’s father, told reporters.
“Hannah, we all love you very much. If you have a chance, you take it, you run. You’ll be found,” he said.
Um, I hate to speculate it and say it but it would appear that 8 year old Ethan Anderson is already dead and it was his body that authorities had not yet identified as the child also found in the burned rubble of the home owned by James DiMaggio. Who else could the child be found in the burned out home be? Also, why else would the missing children’s father only reference to let his daughter Hannah go and “you’ve already taken everything else?” Sadly, the dad is obviously referring the 44 year old mom Christina Anderson and Ethan.

FBI Director Robert Mueller Admits Domestic Use of Drones for Surveillance (VIDEO)
FBI director Robert Mueller now admits that drones are used domestically in the United States for surveillance. However, he stated that their use was “very seldom”. I guess it is all how one defines very seldom. So much for privacy. I am sure this is Constitutional as well. So is the answer that the FBI, NSA, CIA, DEA, ATF, etc. can do anything that they damn well please when it comes to snooping on all Americans under the guise that it protects us from terrorism? Food for thought America, if it takes us becoming a police state to protect us from terrorists, the terrorist have won.
The FBI uses drones for domestic surveillance purposes, the head of the agency told Congress early Wednesday.
Robert Mueller, the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, confirmed to lawmakers that the FBI owns several unmanned aerial vehicles, but has not adopted any strict policies or guidelines yet to govern the use of the controversial aircraft.
“Does the FBI use drones for surveillance on US soil?” Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) asked Mr. Mueller during an oversight hearing on Capitol Hill Wednesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
“Yes,” Mueller responded bluntly, adding that the FBI’s operation of drones is “very seldom.”

Man Shot Dead (Ibragim Todashev) by FBI agent Reportedly Knew Boston Bombing Suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev
Man shot and killed over night may have had connection to Boston bombing suspects …
FOX News is reporting that a man was shot dead by an FBI agent early Wednesday morning in Orlando, Florida who supposedly was connected with the Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev. The Orlando Sentinel reports, FBI officials have confirmed that a man died while one of its agents was “conducting official duties.” WESH is reporting special agent was interviewing the suspect regarding his connections to bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev and other extremists. The shooting happened overnight in the Windhover apartment complex off Peregrine Avenue near Kirkman and Vineland roads.
Orange County Jail – Ibragim Todashev
A man who was shot dead by an FBI agent late Tuesday night in Orlando knew one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings, a man identified as friend of the victim said Wednesday.
The agent encountered the man while conducting official duties, agent Dave Couvertier said in a statement.
A man at the scene on Peregrine Avenue near Kirkman and Vineland roads who identified himself as a friend of the victim said the man knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older brother suspected in the April 15 bombings that killed three and injured more than 260.
Khusen Taramov said he and his friend had no connection with the Boston bombings, but the FBI had been questioning them since then.
“He used to talk on the phone with him [Tsarnaev],” Taramov said of his friend. “They talked last time a month ago. After the bombing, I couldn’t believe it,” he said.

NICOLE PESECKY : I’m Nicole Pesecky live in Orlando following breaking news in an FBI related shooting that happened here at this apartment complex early this morning. We do just have new information from the FBI. Confirming that the suspect killed here was someone they were looking at in connection with Tamerlan Tsarnaev, based on contact that they, that he had. They say it is possible that when he tried to leave to go back home from Chechnya, which is where his friends say he is from. He possibly found himself on the no-fly list and had to return home, and he may have been angry because of that. His friends tell me that flight was booked for yesterday and he did cancel that flight and wasn’t able to return home to Chechnya to visit yesterday. (more)
Orlando Sentinel: Friend: Orlando man killed by FBI agent was questioned in Boston Marathon bombings.
That man, Khusn Taramiv, thinks it was his friend — Ibragim Todashev — who was shot this morning in the 6000 block of Peregrine Avenue in Orlando.
Todashev, 27, was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office on May 4 and charged with aggravated battery with great bodily harm
Taramiv told several television outlets his friend was being investigated as part of the Boston bombings and knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were mixed martial-arts fighters.
WESH: Orlando man killed by FBI had ties to Boston Marathon bombing suspect, NBC News confirms: Man knew Boston bombing suspect, friend says.
A friend of the suspect, Khusn Taramiv, said his friend, 27-year-old Ibragim Todashev, was being investigated as part of the Boston bombings and knew Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters.
Taramiv claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday.
“(The FBI) took me and my friend, the suspect that got killed. They were talking to us, both of us, right? And they said they need him for a little more, for a couple more hours, and I left, and they told me they’re going to bring him back. They never brought him back,” Taramiv said.
Miller reported that FBI agents went to Todashev’s apartment complex after midnight Wednesday morning to question him. Todashev had been on the bureau’s radar since Tsarnaev was identified as a suspect in the bombing.
“He had been interviewed along with a number of other people in the apartment complex, but the interest in him was higher because of a couple of factors: He was in contact with Tamerlan Tsarnaev. He had been to Boston to visit him, and he was planning a trip to Chechnya,” Miller said.
FBI agents went to question him overnight after there were indications that he canceled that trip, Miller said.
“In the encounter in the apartment, something went wrong,” Miller said.
