Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi: Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi … Why aren’t we talking about something else?”

BECAUSE THE FAMILIES OF THE FOUR DEAD AMERICANS DESERVE ANSWERS …

Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi thinks the murder of four Americans in Benghazi, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, is a “diversion” and “subterfuge.”  “SICK. Nancy Pelosi told reporters  Thursday when asked about a new cache of recently released emails. “Why aren’t we talking about something else? Or as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would say, “What difference does it make”.  I am guessing the parents, families, loved ones and friends of those murdered in Benghazi, Libya do not think it is “subterfuge.”

Roll Call:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wanted to talk about immigration and the minimum wage at her weekly press conference on Thursday morning — not what she called the newest Republican attack line on the State Department’s response to the 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Asked by reporters more than once about revelations that the White House withheld certain documents from the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee after the panel subpoenaed all relevant emails on the matter, the California Democrat threw up her hands.

“Diversion, subterfuge. Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi. Why aren’t we talking about something else?” Pelosi asked.

“If you all want to sit around and talk about Benghazi, you can sit around and talk about Benghazi,” she said in her closing remarks. “The fact is that’s a subterfuge and they don’t want to talk about jobs, growth, immigration reform, voting rights, you name it.”

NAACP Was Set to Give L.A. Clippers Owner Donald Sterling a Lifetime Achievement Award Next Month Before He Was Caught on Audio Tape Making Racist Comments … What About all the previous Racism?

NAACP was for giving a racist NBA Basketball owner a Lifetime Achievement Award, before they were against it … WHERE WERE THEY BEFORE WITH HIS PREVIOUS RACIST ACTS?

The L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling was supposed to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award next month from the NAACP’s Los Angeles chapter. However, that was before Sterling was caught on an audio tape making racist and disgusting comments to his girlfriend regarding minorities. The award was supposed to be given on May 15, 2014. Upon the surfacing of the explosive and highly racial audio, the NAACP urged the chapter to withdraw Sterling from its honoree list and suggests that “African Americans and Latinos should honor his request and not attend the games.”

Sorry, my question is not that the NAACP is rescinding this Lifetime Achievement Award, it is why the so-called civil rights group ever gave it to him in the first place? Hey NAACP, Why so Silent?

But that was then, this is now, NAACP Interim President Lorraine Miller said Sunday on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ that the NAACP will not go forward with plans to give a lifetime achievement award to Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. She went on to say, “If you’re silent about this, then you’re accepting this. People have got to say that this is not good and do something about it.” Um, who was being silent? One would say the hypocritical NAACP. Did they forget above his previous racist behavior, or were they just being silent? And guess who has joined the act and is calling for a boycott of Clippers games, why the Rev. Jessee Jackson of course.

Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Miller condemned the racist remarks allegedly made by Sterling that were caught on audio recording and leaked over the weekend. The NAACP’s Los Angeles chapter was scheduled to give Sterling a lifetime achievement award at its 100th anniversary celebration next month.

“He is not receiving a lifetime achievement award from the NAACP,” Miller said.

HEY NAACP … WHY SO SILENT?

The NAACP must have missed the documented history of allegedly racist behavior where Sterling had been sued twice by the federal government for allegedly refusing to rent apartments to Blacks and Latinos. Oops, hey NAACP … why so silent? Maybe they might want to read about the case below?  I guess the NAACP was also remaining silent when former Clippers exec and NBA great Elgin Baylor sued Sterling  for racial discrimination. A jury was ultimately not convinced and shot down Baylor’s case.  But when has that ever stopped the NAACP, can you say Trayvon Martin.

United States v. Donald Sterling, et al. (C.D. Cal.)

On November 12, 2009, the court entered a consent order resolving a pattern or practice lawsuit in United States v. Sterling (C.D. Cal.). The complaint, filed on August 7, 2006, alleged that Donald Sterling, Rochelle Sterling, the Sterling Family Trust, and the Korean Land Company, L.L.C. violated the Fair Housing Act on the basis of race, national origin and familial status by refusing to rent to non-Korean prospective tenants, misrepresenting the availability of apartment units to non-Korean prospective tenants, and providing inferior treatment to non-Korean tenants in the Koreatown section of Los Angeles. The complaint also alleged that the Sterling Defendants refused to rent to African-American prospective tenants and misrepresented the availability of apartment units to African-American prospective tenants in the Beverly Hills section of Los Angeles. In addition, the complaint alleged that the Sterling Defendants refused to rent to families with children and misrepresented the availability of apartment units to families with children throughout the buildings that they own or manage in Los Angeles County. The United States also alleged that the Sterling Defendants made statements and published notices or advertisements in connection with the rental of apartment units that expressed a preference for Korean tenants in the Koreatown section of Los Angeles and expressed discrimination against African-Americans and families with children in Los Angeles County.

The consent order requires the Defendants to: (1) pay a total of $2.725 million in monetary damages and civil penalties; (2) implement a self-testing program over the next three years to monitor their employees’ compliance with fair housing laws at their Los Angeles County properties; (3) maintain non-discriminatory practices and procedures; and (4) obtain fair housing training for their employees who participate in renting, showing, or managing apartments at the Los Angeles County properties. The order settles the claims of the United States and the private plaintiffs.

Bias law suit: Baylor v. National Basketball Association et al., case number BC407604, in the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Los Angeles, Central District.

The former general manager of the Los Angeles Clippers has slammed the National Basketball Association, the team, Clippers owner Donald Sterling and management agent Richard Andy Roeser with a lawsuit, accusing the parties of race and age discrimination and unlawful retaliation. On Thursday, Elgin Baylor filed suit in the Los Angeles division of California Superior Court, accusing his former team and colleagues of a slew of employment-related misdeeds.

“Elgin Baylor, a former NBA executive vice president and general manager, charges that he has suffered severe and continuing injury, including severe economic and noneconomic injuries as a result of unlawful and wrongful conduct engaged in by the defendants, individually and/or corporately,” the complaint said. “Consequently, in this action, Mr. Baylor seeks an award of economic, noneconomic and punitive damages, as well as an award of reasonable attorneys’ fees.”

Another Misrepresentation Spread to the Masses … The Party of the Rich in Congress are Democrats, Not the GOP

So much for the Democrat talking point that the Republicans are the party of the Rich …

Hmm, looks like it is the Democrats who are the party of the rich. As reported in the Yahoo News, Democrats represent 8 of the 10 richest House districts in the United States. Actually, Democrats have the top six wealthiest districts, Republicans represent #7 and #10.

Democrats_rich

Republicans are the party of the rich, right? It’s a label that has stuck for decades, and you’re hearing it again as Democrats complain about GOP opposition to raising the minimum wage and extending unemployment benefits.

But in Congress, the wealthiest among us are more likely to be represented by a Democrat than a Republican. Of the 10 richest House districts, only two have Republican congressmen. Democrats claim the top six, sprinkled along the East and West coasts. Most are in overwhelmingly Democratic states like New York and California

The 10 richest House districts:

  1. New York 12 – Rep. Carolyn Maloney, Democrat – Per capita income: $75,479
  2. California 33 – Rep. Henry Waxman, Democrat – Per capita income: $61,273
  3. New York 10 – Rep. Jerry Nadler, Democrat – Per capita income: $56,138
  4. California 18 – Rep. Anna Eshoo, Democrat – Per capita income: $ 54,182
  5. Connecticut 4 – Rep. Jim Himes, Democrat – Per capita income: $50,732
  6. Virginia 8 – Rep. Jim Moran, Democrat – Per capita income: $50,210
  7. New Jersey 7 – Rep. Leonard Lance, Republican – Per capita income: $48,556
  8. California 12 – Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Democrat – Per capita income: $48,523
  9. New York 3 – Rep. Steve Israel, Democrat – Per capita income: $47,991
  10. Virginia 10 – Rep. Frank Wolf, Republican – Per capita income: $47,281

House Republicans Trey Gowdy (SC-R), Jim Jordan (OH-R) & Darrell Issa (CA-R) Hammer IRS Chief John Koskinen Over Stonewalling in the Tea Party Targeting Scandal Investigation … IRS Says It Could Take “Years” to Produce the Emails

Imagine what would happen if you told the IRS it would take years to produce the documents you were requesting?

Republican House members let loose yesterday on IRS Chief John Koskinen with regards to Lois Lerner’s emails and the investigation into the IRS scandal in targeting Conservative organizations and Tea Party groups vying for non-profit status. The IRS has to date refused to comply with the subpoena to produce all of former IRS employee, Lois Lerner’s emails. Issa repeated the threat to hold Koskinen in contempt of Congress if the documents are not produced to the committee.

A chief Republican inquisitor of the Internal Revenue Service tea party controversy hammered the new agency commissioner on Wednesday, accusing him of being more concerned with averting political fallout than cooperating with congressional probes.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa and IRS chief John Koskinen sparred over the pace in which the IRS is shipping documents to the panel, one of several probing the matter.

“Does a nonpartisan or nonpolitical agency withhold documents requested during a congressional investigation? The IRS does and did,” the California Republican said, calling the pace of document production “dismal.” “You’ve been more concerned with managing the political fallout.”

Rep. Gowdy Questions IRS Commissioner John Koskinen about IRS Targeting Scandal (Classic Gowdy video)

Rep. Trey Gowdy (SC-R) just shredded  IRS Chief John Koskinen and stated to the IRS head, “I want the subpoena complied with and I want the subpoena complied with in a timely fashion.” Then Gowdy said, “whether or not you think we need something, or we outta have it, or we are on a wild goose chase, frankly I could care less what you think about that. Our subpoena is our subpoena. If you do not like it, move to quash it, otherwise comply with it!” Why is guy did not primary challenge establishment GOP candidate Lindsey Graham in SC puzzles  me.

Rep. Jim Jordan Grills IRS Commissioner on Targeting Scandal: ‘We Don’t Want the Excuses Anymore’

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said at the hearing, “We don’t want the excuses anymore, You’re not working fast enough. It’s that simple.”

An IRS official said Wednesday that it could take years before the agency is able to turn over to Congress all documents pertaining to the improper targeting of conservative groups.

“What they want is something that’s going to take years to produce,” Internal Revenue Service Commissioner John Koskinen said during a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on Wednesday.

The commissioner’s remarks were made in response to specific questions asked by Republican lawmakers on the committee.

Republicans have accused the IRS of stonewalling their investigation by intentionally delaying the release of certain agency documents.

I will say again, can you just imagine if a party ever responded to the IRS in this manner in provided requested documentation? This is the reason why the IRS needs to go bye-bye and a flat or fair tax needs to be implemented. How can Congress have a lawful means to demand emails and yet the IRS stonewalls and does not comply. Then they are allowed, on the honor system, to provide the emails. Juxtapose that with the tax payer being audited is guilty until proven innocent and you have no right not to produce anything.

The IRS fears no consequences ever … this is the reason why such a tyrannical government agency has to be replaced. Never in a million years would The Founding Fathers ever have approved of such an entity.

Freedom of the Press? Not in an Obama World … The FCC Wants to Grill Reporters, Editors & News Station Owners About How They Decide Which Stories to Run

WHEN WILL THE TYRANNY STOP WITH THIS OUT OF CONTROL IMPERIALISTIC PRESIDENT?

It would appear that Barack Obama wants to put government FCC monitors in America’s news rooms to determine why media outlets cover certain stories. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!  So now we are going to have government lackeys in news rooms to monitor and make sure that the media is covering the stories they want them to? Could Barack Obama and the Obama administration possible trample on the United States Constitution and Freedom of Speech any more?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

As reported at Mediaite, FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal bringing people’s attention to this study, saying “the government has no place pressuring media organizations into covering certain stories.” And while participation is technically voluntary, ignoring them would not be a wise decision for any news outlet that wants an FCC license. We all know that the MSM is bias and pretty much in lockstep leans to the left, but it is not the governments job to interfere with what they report or how they report .  “Participation is voluntary—in theory,” supposedly; however, the FCC’s questions, queries and interrogations may be hard for the broadcasters to ignore as it is this very government agency that could put a media outlet out of business if they spitefully withhold an FCC license. But of course the Obama administration has never gone after or targeted a specific group of people who opposed him, have they … IRS-GATE!

AMERICA, THIS IS WHAT TYRANNY LOOKS LIKE! LET’S JUST COME OUT AND SAY IT … THIS IS ANTI-AMERICAN. WELCOME TO OBAMA’S USSRA.

An Obama administration plan that would get researchers into newsrooms across the country is sparking concern among congressional Republicans and conservative groups.

The purpose of the proposed Federal Communications Commission study is to “identify and understand the critical information needs of the American public, with special emphasis on vulnerable-disadvantaged populations,” according to the agency.

However, one agency commissioner, Ajit Pai, said in a Wall Street Journal op-ed piece Wednesday that the May 2013 proposal would allow researchers to “grill reporters, editors and station owners about how they decide which stories to run.”

He also said he feared the study might stifle the freedom of the press.

Who is Obama kidding?

This is just heinous as Obama uses the death of Daniel Pearl to make it appear that he is for Freedom of the Press

“Reminded us of how valuable a free press is.”

“reminded us that there are those who would go to any leangth in order to silence journalists …”

“A well informed citizenry that is able to make choices and hold governments accountable …”

Obama says, “Clear out the press so that we can take some questions”

FCC Research Study can be read HERE (pdf)

Questions that the FCC poses in the study to news managers and staffers, including the following. Honestly, what business is it of the federal government?

  • What is the news philosophy of the station?
  • How do you define critical information that the community needs?
  • Who decides which stories are covered?
  • Have you ever suggested coverage of what you consider a story with critical information for your customers (viewers, listeners, readers) that was rejected by management?

Do we really wonder why, as opined by The Lonely Conservative, that the US has dropped to #46, just above Haiti, in press freedom in the world. Way to go Barack Obama!
