WJAR in Cranston, R.I. Reporter Julie Tremmel Shows Everyone How to Ward Off a Bear … And Make the Rest of Us Laugh Ourselves Silly

Who knew this was how you were to ward off a bear from attacking? I don’t remember learning this exact technique while growing up. Maybe the purpose was to make the bear laugh so hard that you could run from harms way until the bear finally gets their composure.

From MSN:

Who knew that the best way to tame an angry bear was to make him convulse in laughter? The news team at WJAR in Cranston, R.I., doesn’t want viewers eaten in the deep, dark woods, so it put together a helpful news-you-can-use tutorial and found the perfect teacher in reporter Julie Tremmel.

Even SNL (Seth Meyers & Amy Poehler) Mock Barack Obama and IRS Scandal, REALLY!?!

#REALLY?!?

How bad has it got for President Barack Obama and the IRS scandal? Even SNL could not avoid the scandal and mocked President Obama and his comments following his learning of the IRS targeting the Tea Party and other Conservative groups. Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler did their “Really!?! with Seth and Amy skit. Although they also took shots at the Tea Party, it was nothing compared to their mocking of the IRS and Barack Obama. Some of the better lines, “Really!?!, the government only keeps you around to make the DMV look good”. Wow, when even Saturday Night Live feels the obligation to make fun of a liberal president, Houston, Barack, you got a problem.

But the money line was, “And, really Obama you found out about this scandal from TV? You found out from TV? Really? I don’t want to live in a world where you have the same sources as my aunt!”

Really!?! Mr. President, you found out about the IRS scandal from the news media, too bad the White House Counsel was told weeks ago. So you are telling us they never told you, REALL!?! Who is running the show and what do you have working for you?

In the week of April 22, the Office of the White House Counsel and its head, Kathryn Ruemmler, were told by Treasury Department attorneys that an inspector general’s report was nearing completion, the White House official said. In that conversation, Ms. Ruemmler learned that “a small number of line IRS employees had improperly scrutinized certain…organizations by using words like ‘tea party’ and ‘patriot,’ ” the official said.

NICE … Jay Leno Tears into Barack Obama Again …Compares Him to Richard Nixon

Jay Leno is making Barack Obama the brunt of his jokes again. This time he compares Obama to Richard Nixon. These days it is easy to use Obama as fodder for late night show comedy. However, for many who have been on the other end of the Obama Benghazi, IRS and AP scandals are probably not laughing. So many in the MSM wanted to say that Obama was Reaganesque and Lincolnesque, to their dismay he turned out to be “Nixonian”.

“It’s been a rough week for Obama. A lot of critics are comparing President Obama to President Richard Nixon. Which is unfair. Nixon’s unemployment rate was only 5%.”

Just to prove Jay Leno correct, the weekly new unemployment claims were just announced today and they were up to 32,000 to 360,000.

The number of people who applied for new unemployment benefits surged by 32,000 to 360,000 in the week ended May 11, putting jobless claims at the highest level in a month and a half, according to the U.S. Labor Department. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch had expected claims to rise to a seasonally adjusted 330,000 from a revised 328,000 in the prior week. A Labor official said there was nothing unusual in the report and there was no evidence that reductions in federal spending under a law known as the sequester contributed to the spike.

Legendary Comic and Impersonator Jonathan Winters Dies at Age 87 … RIP

The death of true comedy …

Legendary comic and impersonator Jonathan Winters has passed away at his home in Montecito, California at age 87. The world just got a little less funny with his passing. Jonathan Winters was simply hysterical. Remember an era of comedy that was not mean spirited, laced with profanity and witty, neither do I. But during Winters’ era it was.  Winters was a comic genius who could switch in and out of character impersonations like we switch a light switch or today’s generations change their Facebook status, tweet or text. Winters inspired generations of improve comics, probably none better than Robbin Williams. And as fate would have it, Winters would later have a role on Williams’ popular TV show ‘Mork & Mindy’ VIDEO) as his son Merth. However,  I remember Winters best for his role in It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. Just priceless comedy. The gas station scene (VIDEO) with Winters and Fred Silver … just too funny. This movie just never gets old. And who can forget when Jonathon Winters was a special guest crime solving with the Scooby Doo gang (VIDEO) where he played himself, Jonathan Winters, the not so famous comedian, hahaha. We shall miss you.

Mr. Winters was at his best when winging it, confounding television hosts and luckless straight men with his rapid-fire delivery of bizarre observations uttered by characters like Elwood P. Suggins, a Midwestern Everyman, or one-off creations like the woodland sprite who bounded onto Jack Paar’s late-night show and simperingly proclaimed: “I’m the voice of spring. I bring you little goodies from the forest.”

A one-man sketch factory, Mr. Winters could re-enact Hollywood movies, complete with sound effects, or create sublime comic nonsense with simple props like a pen-and-pencil set.

The unpredictable, often surreal quality of his humor had a powerful influence on later comedians like Robin Williams but made him hard to package as an entertainer. His brilliant turns as a guest on programs like “The Steve Allen Show” and “The Tonight Show” — in both the Jack Paar and Johnny Carson eras — kept him in constant demand. But a successful television series eluded him, as did a Hollywood career, despite memorable performances in films like “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World,” “The Loved One” and “The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming.”

Sarah Palin Fires up the Crowds at CPAC as the Mama Grizzley & Hockey Mom Pokes Fun at the Left with her Big Gulp

Former Alaska Governor and Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin brought down the house at CPAC 2013 as only she can and at the same time brought the LEFT to utter madness. After making  a joke about gun rights, gun racks, and guns Sarah took the opportunity to pause and took a swig from her Big Gulp. Obviously a not so vale slap at the NYC Mayor Bloomberg and his over-reaching policies. Palin certainly has a way to get a dig in. What’s funny is that the LEFT still cannot get over this woman as she continues to just drive them up the wall. Case and point is that the below video was from a Lefty site where they thought she was offensive. A note to the LEFT, sometimes its just ok to laugh at something that is funny.
