House of Representatives Passes Kate’s Law

FINALLY, KATE’S LAW IS PASSED TO PROTECT US CITIZENS FROM ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION CRIMINALS …

The House passed Kate’s Law yesterday, which would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States and caught. The vote passed 257 to 157, with one Republican voting no and 24 Democrats voting yes. Following the passage of the law President Donald Trump stated, “Now that the House has acted, I urged the Senate to take up these bills, pass them, and send them to my desk.  I am calling on all lawmakers to vote for these bills and to save American lives.”

House Republicans took action Thursday to crack down on illegal immigrants and the cities that shelter them.

One bill passed by the House would deny federal grants to sanctuary cities and another, Kate’s Law, would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States.

Kate’s Law, which would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States and caught, passed with a vote of 257 to 157, with one Republican voting no and 24 Democrats voting yes.

Kate’s Law is named for Kate Steinle, a San Francisco woman killed by an illegal immigrant who was in the U.S. despite multiple deportations. The two-year anniversary of her death is on Saturday.

President Trump called the bill’s passage “good news” in a tweet, adding “House just passed #KatesLaw. Hopefully Senate will follow.”

As noted by Legal Insurrection, the House also passed a bill to deny federal grants to sanctuary cities. These two legislative acts are off to the U.S. Senate. I will make this one statement to the Senate, especially to RINO’s and the Democrat senators who are up for reelection in 2018 in states that Trump won in 2016 … if you do not vote yes for the protection of legal US citizens, kiss your political careers goodbye.

Is the End Near for Nancy Pelosi … Democrats Looking for Some one to Blame for Continued Losses

WHEN DEMOCRATS ATTACK THEIR OWN …

In the wake of the Georgia 6th District House special election loss where Democrats threw everything but the kitchen sink into the race, including $35 million in the special elections, Democrats are looking for answers and looking to House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi to blame. In election cycle after election cycle House Democrats have not been able to take back control. In fact, it was on her watch that Democrats lost control of the House. Some how in all of this she has managed to maintain her power. But for how long? Now, a number of Democrats are renewing their calls for Pelosi to step aside.  On Wednesday Democrat Rep. Kathleen Rice of Long Island, New York, said, “We need leadership change. It’s time for Nancy Pelosi to go, and the entire leadership team.” The question is, do the Democrats have the guts to rid the party of her? The GOP sure does not hope so.

The Democrats are going through a power shift similar to what happened for Republicans during the 2016 elections. The Democrat party is about to have a civil war for the heart of the party. Will it go further LEFT or more to the middle?

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and other top Democrats put a brave face on Wednesday morning after a disappointing loss in the Georgia special election, yet there is no disguising the unhappiness in the party ranks.

There is no challenge to Pelosi’s leadership, and none is going to happen at this point, said numerous Democrats. But it’s clear frustration is growing with the longtime Democratic leader following the extensive losses Democrats have suffered over the past half-decade.

And the fact that Republicans spent millions of dollars on TV ads tying Democratic hopeful Jon Ossoff to Pelosi — and the brand of progressive policies she represents — shows that she will once again be an issue for Democratic challengers in the very districts that the party needs to win to make her speaker again.

Some Democrats want to replace Pelosi atop their caucus, as they have since last November’s poor showing at the polls; they say there is no way to get back in the majority with her as their leader. And others who backed her in last year’s leadership challenge have now flipped their stance.

“I think you’d have to be an idiot to think we could win the House with Pelosi at the top,” said Rep. Filemon Vela (D-Texas), who supported Pelosi in her last leadership race. “Nancy Pelosi is not the only reason that Ossoff lost. But she certainly is one of the reasons.”

Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio), who challenged Pelosi for minority leader in November, wouldn’t comment directly whether she should step down, saying only, “My position hasn’t changed.”

Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-N.Y.), who backed a challenge to Pelosi last year, said the results of the Ossoff race further underscore that Pelosi should let someone else take the reins.

“There comes a time when every leader has to say, ‘For the good of the order and for the betterment of the party, it’s time for me to step aside.’ And I wish that that would happen right now,” Rice said in an interview. “This is not a personal thing. I want to get back in the majority.”

“I think it’s very concerning that that tactic still has some punch,” Ryan said. “Again, it’s part of the broader national brand that average people don’t feel connected to the Democratic Party. Walk up the street and ask 10 people what the Democrats stand for, you’ll get 10 different answers. That’s no way to build a national party.”

Democrat Ossoff States Georgia Race Showed ‘We Could Fight’ … Actually It Showed You Could Lose After Spending A Boat Load of Money (VIDEO)

WOW, THESE PEOPLE LIVE IN THEIR OWN LITTLE BUBBLE …

It turns out that this was the most expensive participation trophy in House election history. To hear Ossoff talk in his concession speech one would not know that he lost. But lose he did. In essence Handel beat his Ossoff. The Democrat challenger stated to the crowd, that “we showed we could fight in places that no one thought we could.” Really? I actually thought Donald Trump showed that last November when he broke the Democrat Blue wall and won Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Then Ossoff then pandered to the crowd and said this small community in Georgia stood up, “woman in this community stood up.” Yawn. Just a footnote to this special election … the victor Karen Handel is the first GOP women to be sent to Congress from Georgia.  Also, it was not the first opportunity in this country to make a statement regarding the trump presidency. Democrats are now 0-5 in special elections. Hardly the first.

The Trump Referendum … Post Presidential Special Elections: GOP & Trump 5 – Democrats 0, Nada, Nil!!!

TRUMP 5 – DEMOCRATS 0 …

The MSM, the LEFT and the Democrats put all of their collective political eggs again in a special election race and came up snake eyes. Last night Republican Karen Handel won the most expensive House race in U.S. history and beat back the latest Democrat golden boy. In the end, Handel won the election and Distric by a greater amount than even Trump did back in November 2016. So what is next for the LEFT, except more tears following losses? According to the WAPO, Democrats are despondent and President Donald Trump is emboldened after GOP victory in Georgia special election. With 99% of the vote counted, Handel leads Ossoff 53% to 47% in a race that many expected to be much closer. Handel had 127,021 votes to the Democrat’s 114,390 ballots. Democrats billed this election as a referendum on Trump, and Trump won again. This made the Special election count 4-0 for the GOP. By the way, last night there was a special election in South Carolina too, the Republicans won that one as well. Make it 5-0 for Trump and the GOP over Democrats, the MSM and the Lefty-liberal moonbats.

THE BIG IDEA: With all the ballots counted, Republican Karen Handel won the most expensive House race in U.S. history by 3.8 percentage points. That’s a larger margin of victory than the 1.5 points that Donald Trump carried Georgia’s 6th Congressional District by last November.

Handel even wound up winning by a greater margin than the GOP candidate in an unexpectedly close special election to replace OMB Director Mick Mulvaney in South Carolina that had not been on the national radar.

The suburban district north of Atlanta is ruby red and has been in GOP hands since Newt Gingrich won it in 1979, but that does not make Jon Ossoff’s defeat any less devastating for Democrats struggling to find their way in the Trump era.

– Last night was a wake-up call for Democrats that they still need to home in on an effective anti-Trump message.

– The results are already prompting Democratic recriminations, as the Bernie Sanders wing of the party pushes the establishment to get behind more liberal candidates. Initially, Ossoff’s mantra was “Make Trump Furious.” But he rarely talked about the president toward the end of the contest because he needed to win over moderate Republicans and didn’t want to motivate low-propensity Trump voters to turn out against him. He modulated his rhetoric, calling for fiscal conservatism in his ads and focusing on jobs. He avoided hot-button issues and called for civility.

The LEFT is about to lose their collective minds as they take loss after loss. Here is a piece of information to the far-LEFT, the MSM and the Democrat party, maybe, just maybe it is the will of the people that Donald Trump is president and they approve of what he is doing. Maybe, it is the resistance that the American people are against. Just a thought.

TRUMP WINS REFERENDUM!!! Republican Karen Handel Wins Georgia’s 6th Congressional District Over Democrat Ossoff

DONALD J. TRUMP WINS REFERENDUM ON HIS PRESIDENCY ACCORDING TO THE LIBERAL MSM, DEMOCRATS AND THE LEFT!!!

Republican Karen Handel as been declared the winner of the special election for the Georgia 6th Congressional district over Democrat Ossoff. In the run up to this special election, the MSM, Democrats and the LEFT have called the race between Jon Ossoff and Karen Handel is largely seen as a referendum on the first months of Donald J. Trump’s presidency. The Democrats, Far-Left and Hollywood pumped millions and millions of dollars into the campaign to get their victory and call it a referendum against the Trump presidency. Instead, the Democrats lost again and the election turned out to be  a referendum for Donald Trump. In the end, Handel kicked his Ossoff.

Karen Handel, a Republican, defeated Jon Ossoff, a Democrat, in the most expensive U.S. House race in history. The election was largely seen as a referendum on the first months of Donald J. Trump’s presidency. Republicans maintain control of the seat, which was vacated by Tom Price, the new secretary of health and human services.

Special Election Georgia Handel

New York Times

President Trump’s hopes of steadying his presidency and his agenda on Capitol Hill were given a lift Tuesday when a Republican won a special congressional election in the Atlanta suburbs.

Republican Karen Handel defeated Democrat Jon Ossoff in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, retaining a seat that has been in GOP hands since 1979 after a grueling, four-month campaign that earned the distinction of being the most expensive House race in history.

Handel’s win, projected by the Associated Press, will bring fresh attention to a beleaguered Democratic Party that has suffered a string of defeats in special elections this year despite an angry and engaged base of voters who dislike Trump.

Special Election Georgia Handel2

New York Times

In the end, after all of the effort and outside money spent by Democrats in this Georgia House seat and after all the LEFT and Democrat put on the winning of this seat to gibe Trump a loss, the race was not even close as Republican Karen Handel won by 5%. There was no nail biting as the New York Times wanted people to believe. It was only close in the minds of the LEFT. Democrats rallied nationwide against Handel in an attempt to defeat Trump and they lost. AGAIN!

Special Election Georgia Handel3

CNN: Republican Karen Handel wins Georgia House special election.

Republican Karen Handel defeated Democrat Jon Ossoff in a high-stakes special election for a Georgia House seat on Tuesday, denying Democrats their first major victory of the Donald Trump era.

Handel led Ossoff by 4.8 percentage points with more than three-fourths of the 6th District’s precincts having reported their results at 10 p.m. ET, in the most expensive House race in US history.

But it wasn’t what Democrats who pumped $23 million into Ossoff’s campaign so desperately craved: A win.

Handel’s victory showed that even with Republicans in power, the GOP’s message in recent election cycles — focused largely urging voters to reject House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi — remains potent.

Aside from all of the excuses from the LEFT, maybe, just maybe Handel and the GOP won the Georgia 6th Congressional election because she was the only candidate who could close the campaign by voting. Jon Ossoff could not. Democrats, don’t you think maybe, just maybe you could actually find a candidate who lived in the district? Seriously, don’t you think that might actually mean something to the people this guy presumed to one day represent?

“I bet [Jon Ossoff] wishes he could vote like me, since I live in the district,” Handel said when she arrived at the polls, in reference to the fact that Ossoff lives just over three miles outside of Georgia’s Sixth Congressional District.
