Martin Luther King, Jr … MLK Day 2010 … “I Have a Dream”

On this day and every day for that matter, let every one needs  to remember and reflect on the words of the slain Civil Rights activists, “… where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” People of all colors need to take a good look at these words and find and inner peace and interpretation to what Martin Luther King, Jr intended.

And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today!

The dream is much more than a political take over of healthcare. Do not ever confuse the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights movement to a political take over of health care … you do nothing but cheapen Civil Rights and what Marting Luther King Jr. lived and died for.

Bill Clinton Nods of to Sleep, This Would Be Funny if it Did not Occur During a Speech Honoring Martin Luther King, Jr.

Geez … there are some things that are just classless.

This would be one of them. So sorry to keep you awake Mr. Clinton to honor such an insignificant person in our history. How low rent could you possibly be? Show some respect for those that actually made a difference for America and who have a legacy. MLK had a dream … what did you have?

BILL HAS A ‘DREAM’
EX PREZ NODS OFF DURING MLK AWARD PRESENTATION

Clinton was there during a service to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., while his wife was nearby at Abyssinian Baptist Church, where she was endorsed by its minister, Rev. Calvin Butts.

Clinton has had napping episodes before. Among others, he nodded off at a Mets game and at Ronald Reagan’s funeral.
