Department of VA Inspector General Report Confirms Allegations that VA Health Clinics Cooked the Books Delaying Treatment to VETS an Average of 155 Days

VA SCANDAL … It is as bad as first thought and this is only the tip of the iceberg of a systemic issue throughout the Veterans Administration.

The WAPO is reporting that the allegations against the VA have been substantiated by a recent independent report from the Department of Veterans Affairs inspector general’s office. The report focused mainly on the Phoenix clinic, where recent allegations of records manipulation came to public knowledge and scrutiny. However, the problem is not just in Phoenix, it is every where. The inappropriate scheduling practices are systemic throughout the Veterans Health Administration. Even with bi-partisan calls for VA Secretary Eric Shinseki to resign, he has not done so yet. However, this is only a matter of time. First thought weeks and then maybe days, the VA scandal has become so bad and wide-spread, that calls from all sides that it may be hours.

However, the problem is not just Shinseki and is not the only one that needs to go. There are many within the VA who probably needs to be tried criminally. No one does not think that Gen. Shinseki is not a patriot and we thank him for his tremendous military service to the United States; however, that does not make him a concomitant administrator and for that he needs to be replaced.  However Barack Obama continues to stand behind Shinseki as no one in the Obama Administration is ever held accountable for scandals and incompetence.

An independent report from the Department of Veterans Affairs inspector general’s office substantiates recent allegations that VA health clinics used inappropriate scheduling practices that concealed treatment delays — lasting an average of 115 days in a sampling of patients — and boosted performance measures that help determine whether bonuses are deserved.

The report said 1,700 veterans using a Phoenix VA hospital were kept on unofficial wait lists, adding that “these veterans were and continue to be at risk of being forgotten or lost in Phoenix HCS’s convoluted scheduling process.”

Official VA data showed that 226 patients in a sampling from the Phoenix clinic had waited just 24 days on average for their first primary care appointments. But the inspector general’s office determined that those veterans had actually waited an average of 115 days.

The unofficial wait lists may represent the “secret” list that whistleblowers claim the Phoenix clinic used to cover up treatment delays, according to the report.

What might be most shocking about the below Valerie Jarrett interview with ‘Top That’ on Pop Sugar.com is that Democrats and especially the Obama Administration does not even hide it anymore that they and the media are the Democrat-Media Complex. White House adviser Valerie Jarrett was out in LA this week meeting with television and movie producers and writers to encourage them to include favorable Obamacare mentions in their scripts. ARE YOU KIDDING!!! A government going to the media to shill their agenda for script and product placement to make it appear that they are mainstream and brainwash the people with propaganda. This is still the United States, is it not?

In an interview with Time, the senator from the Socialist Republic of Vermont, Bernie Sander (VT-IS), had much to say on a wide range of issues like the legalization of marijuana, social security, and Barack Obama’s job as president; however, the biggest news was when Sanders said that he would make a better president than Hillary Clinton. When asked who would make a better president, Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders, he said … Bernie Sanders. Will the Independent socialist, who caucuses with Democrats in the Senate be the thorn in Hillary’s 2016 presidential election side? The Independent Socialist Senator said he “liked Hilliary” and she is a “very, very intelligent person”. However, Sanders said there needs to be a leader “to wage a political revolution in this country which brings millions of people into the political process to stand up and fighting for their rights in a way that we have not seen right now,” and Hillary Clinton was not the leader of that movement.

Personally, I agree with 0.000527% of Bernie Sanders’ agenda; however, I will give him his due and that he is an unabashed, self-proclaimed socialist. Because he stands by his beliefs and policies, no matter how wrong I think they might be, I give him kudos for standing by his socialist principles. However, after saying what he did about the need for a political revolution and Hillary not being the standard bearer of that movement, I would cry foul and bullsh*t if now Sanders did not run and instead sat back and got in line behind Hillary Clinton like a good establishment Democrat.

The reality is, these days Bernie Sanders probably represents more of what the Democrats are all about these days than Hillary Clinton. Vermont don’t stop there, let’s add former Green Mountain Gov. Howard Dean back for another run as well … YEEHAAA!!!

Obamacare Will Increase Healthcare Premium Costs for 65% of Small Businesses

Didn’t Barack Obama say that Obamacare was going to lower costs … Guess who lied again?

As reported at the Washington Post and direct from CMS, The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, 65% of small businesses are expected to experience increases in their premium rates while the remaining 35 percent are anticipated to have rate reductions.” According to the report, 11 million American workers will be faced with higher premiums. CMS released the report on Friday with little fanfare. Neither the HHS website nor the CMS website shows a news release or public notice about the report. Imagine that. No one is saying that there did not need to be some adjustment to the delivery system of health care insurance, however, penalizing 65% to benefit the 35% was and is not the answer.

Nearly two-thirds of small businesses that currently offer health insurance to their workers will pay more for coverage as a result of new rules in the health care law, as will millions of small-business employees and their family members, according to new estimates released by the Obama administration.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which has spearheaded the implementation of the law, has acknowledged that new rules requiring insurers to offer guaranteed coverage and renewal options to small employers will likely drive up the price of insurance for some companies. So will rules banning insurance companies from varying their rates based on factors like a company’s industry or the age of its employees.

“We are estimating that 65 percent of the small firms are expected to experience increases in their premium rates while the remaining 35 percent are anticipated to have rate reductions,” CMS’ Office of the Actuary wrote in a new report. Conversely, “the effect on large employers is expected to be negligible,” because most large companies run their health insurance programs in house.

Some premiums will be reduced; however, the overwhelming majority of individuals, some 11 million, will see their premiums increased. Mind you, this is just small business, we are not even discussing businesses with more than 50 employees.

Consequently, according to the estimates, which the agency says are based on industry research and conversations with insurance experts, roughly 11 million of the 17 million individuals who have health care plans through a small employer will see their premiums increase as a result of the law, while 6 million people will enjoy lower premiums.

If accurate, it would continue a steady climb in insurance costs for many small businesses. Ninety-six percent of small businesses say their premiums have increased in the past five years, with the average monthly insurance cost soaring from $590 per employee in 2009 to $1,121 in 2014, according to poll released earlier this month by the National Small Business Administration.

Imagine being penalized for having a healthy work force? One would think that programs implemented by a business like “Healthy Life”, would lower insurance premiums, not raise them. Nope, not with Obamacare. This is all part of the distribution of wealth.

The six-page document looked at companies with fewer than 50 workers that offer employee health benefits, but it calculated health care costs in a hypothetical way – leaving out the impact of government subsidies that are specifically geared for small businesses.

Without factoring in government subsidies, CMS concluded that 65% of those small businesses would see an increase in premiums.

Why? The report found that those companies had been paying below-average premiums, thanks in large part to having younger and healthier workers. But under Obamacare, neither pre-existing conditions, nor the lack of them, can influence the cost of premiums. So those small companies with healthier workers will see premiums rise to match the average for all workers.

In an Op-ed in the NY Times, ”The Obamacare We Deserve,’ Michael Moore wrote that “For many people, the ‘affordable’ part of the Affordable Care Act risks being a cruel joke.” We can all agree that Obamacare is awful; however, as Newsbusters points out, before you jump on the Michael Moore bandwagon and that a liberal, far-leftist socialist has come to their senses, you need to know first that Moore us for universal healthcare and a single payer and it should be 100% funded by you. Well, by those working individuals and 50% who pay income taxes.

Michael Moore calls Obamacare a loser

In an op-ed published at the New York Times, Moore wrote, “Obamacare is awful.”

“For many people, the ‘affordable’ part of the Affordable Care Act risks being a cruel joke,” added Moore. “The cheapest plan available to a 60-year-old couple making $65,000 a year in Hartford, Conn., will cost $11,800 in annual premiums. And their deductible will be $12,600. If both become seriously ill, they might have to pay almost $25,000 in a single year.”

I love how Moore put quotation marks around the word “affordable.” I’ve been doing it for years concerning this atrocious law.

But before you get excited thinking this leftist has suddenly come to his senses, be advised that you’re probably not going to agree with Moore’s reasons for disliking the “Affordable Care Act.”

Why?

Because he’s for universal health insurance funded by the roughly 50 percent of Americans that pay income taxes, of course.

BARACK OBAMA’S GOAL IS SINGLE PAYER, UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE

Obama is a “proponent of single payer, universal healthcare … We may not get there immediately.”

However, Moore is stating a fact when he says that Barack Obama’s end goal was single payer, universal healthcare in the United States. However, Obama knew that would never fly, so his plan all along was to slowly morph into it. The problem is for many, including the LEFT, Obamacare as a stop-gap to single payer is “AWFUL”.

I believe Obamacare’s rocky start — clueless planning, a lousy website, insurance companies raising rates, and the president’s telling people they could keep their coverage when, in fact, not all could — is a result of one fatal flaw: The Affordable Care Act is a pro-insurance-industry plan implemented by a president who knew in his heart that a single-payer, Medicare-for-all model was the true way to go. When right-wing critics “expose” the fact that President Obama endorsed a single-payer system before 2004, they’re actually telling the truth.

What we now call Obamacare was conceived at the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, and birthed in Massachusetts by Mitt Romney, then the governor. The president took Romneycare, a program designed to keep the private insurance industry intact, and just improved some of its provisions. In effect, the president was simply trying to put lipstick on the dog in the carrier on top of Mitt Romney’s car. And we knew it.

But before anyone starts touting the single payer healthcare system, how is Medicare and Medicaid working for America other than bankrupting it!!!
