NJ Gov. Chris Christie Swings at Obama’s Inexperience: “I’m Not Arrogant Enough to Believe That After One Year As Governor I Am Ready to Be President”

Batter, batter, batter … swing batter!!!

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie stated on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace that he was once again not going to run for President in 2012. Even though a recent Zogby poll had Christie ahead of Obama in a hypothetical match up, Christie once again said that his duty was to the people of the Gardenstate. When further pressed by Chris Wallace as to why he would not run for President in 2012, Christie made the following not so underhanded slap at President Obama and his lack of experience … “I’m not arrogant enough to believe that after one year as governor I am ready to be President”

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) brushed off a Zogby poll from earlier this month that showed him leading a pack of hypothetical GOP 2012 contenders, adamantly stressing that’s not in his plans.

“The president can rest easy because the only guy who beats him in that poll isn’t running,” Christie said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“I have a commitment to my state,” he said, adding that he’d only been governor for a year and New Jersey’s problems still need fixing.

“You have to believe in your heart that you’re personally ready to be president and I’m not there,” Christie said. “I am not arrogant enough to believe that after one year as governor … that I am ready to be president of the United States.”

“So I’m not going to run,” the governor said.

It is too bad that Obama did not have the same set of principles. Imagine the arrogance of an individual who had less than a one term as a US Senator thinking that they were Presidential material. Since the outset of his administration, Obama has been over his head.

Pennsylvania Gov. Edward Rendell Calls for Early Detection System for Mentally Ill to Prevent purchasing Firearms

During the Sunday talk show, CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell called for an “early detection system” designed to keep mentally unstable individuals from buying guns. So we are going to arbitrarily commit people to mental institutions who we perceive as mentally unstable? Really? Who makes that deceision and where to start. Rendell might want to start with 3/4th of those that post on Left-wing moonbat websites. As Weasel Zippers stated, “Does he realize that under this system liberals won’t be able to buy guns?”

Rendell might want to start with these folks from a moonbat march

Two high-profile politicians today called for sweeping reforms to the nation’s mental health system that would prevent individuals deemed ill from legally purchasing firearms.

Had numerous concerns about alleged gunman Jared Lee Loughner’s mental status placed him on a list restricting his ability to buy a gun, his Jan. 8 rampage might have been prevented, said former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a Republican, and Pennsylvania Gov. Edward Rendell, a Democrat.

During a “Face the Nation” appearance, Rendell called for an “early detection system” designed to keep mentally unstable individuals from buying guns.

Giuliani said among the problems that led to the shooting spree, which left six dead and 19 injured, is the nation’s “inability to deal with mental illness.” He urged policy “adjustments” that balance things like an individual’s constitutional right to own firearms with keeping guns out of the hands of unstable people.

Wonder where the ACLU would stand on this one, the guns or the mentally unstable?

Maine Republican Governor Paul LePage Says NAACP can “Kiss My Butt”

KISS MY GRITS … OR BUTT AS THE CASE MAY BE …

Maine Republican Gov. Paul LePage tells NAACP they can “kiss my butt”. The comment was in response to criticism LePage received from the NAACP for refusing to attend an event at the state prison it’s sponsoring on behalf of Martin Luther King Day. Maine? Finally, from of all places, a Mainiac politician with some stones … maybe Collins and Snowewill learn a thing or two.  However, its not like the NAACP can play the race card and call LePage a racist, the governor is dad to a adopted black Jamaican son.

Maine Republican Gov. Paul LePage is keeping up his reputation for blunt language, telling an unhappy NAACP chapter that they can “kiss my butt.”

The governor made the comments to CNN affiliate WCSH after being asked about criticism he received from the organization for refusing to attend an event it is sponsoring on behalf of Martin Luther King Day.

“If they want to play the race card my son will talk to them.”

“They are a special interest. End of story…and I’m not going to be held hostage by special interests. And if they want, they can look at my family picture. My son happens to be black, so they can do whatever they’d like about it,” LePage said.

The governor has an adopted son from Jamaica, according to WSCH.

Zogby Poll: NJ Governor Chris Christie Ahead of Obama Among GOP Hopefuls

Here is some real “hope & change” …

Its just a hypothetical match up but the results are rather surprising. According to a recentZogby poll, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie ahead of President Barack Obama in hypothetical presidential match up, 43% to 40%.  Christe has previously stated that he was not going to run for president in 2012; however, isn’t it interesting that a governor who has taken on the unions in NJ and has a successful track record beats Obama. Experience and being a successful, cost cutting politician does matter … not just a campaign slogan.

In a hypothetical field of 2012 Republican presidential candidates, the only one who would beat President Barack Obama is New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, according to a new Zogby International poll.

Despite those results and the recent election day Republican landslide, Christie said Obama should not be worried.

New Jersey Governor Christie Calls Out NBC’s David Gregory By Calling Him an Advocate for Democrat Legislation

The below VIDEO is yet just another reason why we like New Jersey Governor Chris Christie so much. Christie calls it like he sees it no matter what the MSM, liberals, Democrats or unions think. This weekend Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) called out “Meet the Press” host David Gregory by stating he was an advocate for the democrats.

What a shock, a MSM type being a shill for Democrats, say it isn’t so.
