Secret Service Director Julia Pierson Resigns Amid Numerous Major Security Blunders Including an Armed Security Contractor being Allowed to Get into an Elevator with President Obama

Julia Pierson, the first female director of the Secret Service, resigned Wednesday in the aftermath of a flurry of major security blunders that included last weeks fence-jumper who gained access inside the White House and an armed security contractor who was allowed to get into an elevator with President Barack Obama. Hey Barack, how about nominating some one who can do the best job of protecting your family, rather than a first.
Embattled U.S. Secret Service Director Julia Pierson, the first woman to lead the agency in charge of protecting the president, resigned amid criticism over a series of security lapses.
Pierson stepped down just 18 months after President Barack Obama selected her to take over a law enforcement agency that already had been tarnished by misconduct by agents.

Talk about a total failure to reach your stated goal. But then again, this is the Obama administration.
“I think it’s in the best interest of the Secret Service and the American public if I step down,” Pierson told Bloomberg News after resigning Wednesday. “Congress has lost confidence in my ability to run the agency. The media has made it clear that this is what they expected.”
“I can be pretty stoic about it, but not really,” she reportedly said. “It’s painful to leave as the agency is reeling from a significant security breach.”

Secret Service managers told agents in Atlanta not to file a written report after discovering that a man with a criminal record who had a gun rode in an elevator with President Obama during his visit to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Sept. 16, according to two sources familiar with the case.
The president’s Secret Service protective detail and other agents routinely file written reports if anything suspicious happens during a presidential trip or in the course of protecting any member of the first family at the White House on any given day.
The reports for such incidents follow one of two protocols. Agents can initiative a five-day report, for more serious incidents that need immediate investigation and clarification, or a 14-day report for more minor incidents. Neither type of report was pursued in the Sept. 16 elevator case, according to the two sources.

CIA Director John Brennan Admits and Apologized For CIA Improperly Accessed/Hacked Senate Computers … Calls For Brennan to Resign

According to a declassified CIA inspector general’s report as reported by ABC News, CIA officers improperly accessed Senate computers, read the emails of Senate staff, and exhibited a “lack of candor” when interviewed by agency investigators. CIA Director John Brennan apologized to Senate Intelligence Committee leaders for the CIA’s conduct, which was quite a a turnabout for the CIA directors previous comments that the CIA did anything wrong. Yup, no separation of powers scandal here.
The document, released Thursday by the CIA, is a summary of an internal CIA investigation that prompted CIA Director John Brennan to abandon his defiant posture in the matter and apologize to Senate Intelligence Committee leaders.
The inspector general concluded “that some CIA employees acted in a manner inconsistent with the common understanding reached between” the Senate Intelligence Committee and the CIA in 2009 regarding access to a shared classified computer network, Boyd said. The shared network had been used by Senate aides to access classified files on CIA interrogations. The CIA penetration occurred after the aides got a hold of documents that the CIA claimed were internal, but which showed that some CIA officials shared misgivings about the treatment of al Qaida detainees.
Central Intelligence Agency officers snooped on computers used by a Senate committee investigating the CIA’s interrogation program, an internal agency report has concluded—a critical finding in a bitter standoff between two government branches.
CIA Director John Brennan apologized to key senators, who were briefed this week on the CIA inspector general’s report, the agency said on Thursday.
The finding bolsters allegations by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.), the Senate intelligence committee chairwoman, who has denounced what she described as a CIA search of Senate computers that may have violated the Constitution’s separation of powers and Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches.
Sen. Mark Udall (D., Colo.), a member of the intelligence panel, on Thursday called for Mr. Brennan’s resignation after a briefing on the report. “CIA unconstitutionally spied on Congress,” he said. “These offenses, along with other errors in judgment by some at the CIA, demonstrate a tremendous failure of leadership, and there must be consequences.”
The CIA declined to comment on Mr. Udall’s call for Mr. Brennan’s resignation.
Five CIA employees, two attorneys and three information-technology staff members “improperly accessed or caused access” to the special network, according to a declassified summary reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. Those efforts included falsifying identities to get on the Senate network, reading emails and taking screenshots, said an official who read the inspector general’s report.

Two Democratic senators demanded that Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan resign on Thursday after revelations that the CIA snooped on Senate computers.
Administration officials briefed the Senate Intelligence Committee’s membership on Thursday afternoon about an inspector general report that revealed CIA officials improperly accessed computers used by Senate staffers to research a 6,700-page report on the agency’s Bush-era interrogation and detention practices.
“At this point it would probably be better for the agency, frankly, if he did step aside. I think that the level of trust between the committee and the director has hit a new low,” Heinrich told reporters. He said he had not spoken to Brennan recently.
“I have full confidence in John Brennan,” Obama said in response to a reporter’s question at the end of an afternoon press conference.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the findings had not diminished Brennan’s standing in the administration.
When asked whether it damaged his authority or credibility in any way, Earnest said: “Absolutely not.”
Brennan first appointed an outside watchdog to conduct an investigation into the allegations, has “been candid” about the “inconsistencies” that the inspector found, apologized and took the step of appointing a panel to review the need for disciplinary action, he said.

Unbelievable, One More Glitch for the Road: Even Kathleen Sebelius’ Resignation Speech as HHS Secretary is Botched … “Unfortunately, a Page is Missing”

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius managed to put as much preparation and management into her resignation speech as she did her handling of Obamacare. As Sebelius was reading her heart-felt prepared, written speech a funny thing happened, a page was missing. Good grief. How could any one be such a screw up and so unprepared? Maybe, her speech writers just didn’t have it in them to spew more lies that Obamacare is good for America. It was a fitting send off for Sebelius, to have one more glitch for the road. It was priceless as Sebelius was flanked by Barack Obama and her supposed to be replacement, if Senate approved, OMB Director Sylvia Burwell.
Outgoing Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius officially announced her resignation Friday, but just like the glitches that plagued the federal website for Obamacare – healthcare.gov – which she was responsible for, Sebelius experienced a glitch of her own when the last page of her speech went missing.

This week HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius spoke in Arizona after a stop at an Onamacare call center stating that she will not step down as a result of the disastrous rollout of the Obamacare website, Healthcare.gov. Sebelius said that “the majority of people calling for me to resign I would say are people who I don’t work …”. Really, and I thought she worked for “We the People” of the United States of America? The Obama administration appears to have forgot that concept. Sebelius best watch out, the sound she is haring is Barack Obama firing up the bus.
“No one has been fired… Well, the majority of people calling for me to resign I would say are people who I don’t work for and did not want the program to work in the first place. I have had frequent conversations with the president and I have committed to him that my role is the get the program up and running.”

San Diego Mayor Bob Filner resigns and gives a speech that shows what a pathetic and miserable individual he truly is. His resignation is effective August 30, however, it can’t come soon enough. After he said that he takes responsibility for his disgusting actions, he then played the victim cared and put the blame on the”media and their political agents”. Good grief.
Filner even went so far as to say the following reprehensible comment that there was “a lynch mob mentality, rumors become allegations, allegations become facts, facts become evidence of sexual harassment which have led to demands of my resignation and recall.” Filner went on to say that he faced “a lynch mob”. Sorry Bob, but you faced your disgusting behavior. And if you claim you did nothing wrong, why are you apologizing and why did you go to rehab? From what it sounds like, this Democrat politician is saying that the multitude of woman who have come forward to say that they were sexual harassed by Filner are lying. Is that you you are saying Bob? BTW, everyone wanted you out, especially Democrats who had egg on their face with their talking points of the GOP war on woman when they had a serial misogynist in their midst.

After reading that denial speech my suggestion to Filner is that you go back into therapy permanently. What a drama queen. These people think that they are so important and their visions are so important, that they are about the law and moral conduct. Sick, sick, sick.
