Politico Reports NBC Pressures Brian Williams to Resign

Looks like NBC is trying to give Lying Brian Williams the squeeze …

According to The Politico, NBC News brass is trying to shame suspended news anchor Brian Williams into resigning. One of those not so good stories regarding Williams was that according to their internal investigation, Williams appears to have embellished reporting stories at least 11 times.

Brian Williams NBC

Longtime broadcast executives say a triple crown of leaks about Brian Williams late last week appear to be an effort by NBC News to shame him into resigning, to avoid the messiness and possible additional expense of the firing. The brutal leaks were designed to send the message to Brian Williams and his superlawyer, Robert Barnett: “You’re dead. Now negotiate.”

This is the effect of the leaks, if not the intention. NBC insiders say his return is still possible. Look for a resolution over the next several weeks.

Williams was reported to be under a contract of as much as $50 million (five years, at up to $10 million each). Speculation is that he’ll get $20 million to $30 million to leave. The $20 million camp says that he’s so weak, he’ll get less than 50 cents on the dollar. The $30 million camp says Brian has plenty of ways to embarrass the bosses and colleagues who threw him under the bus, and NBC should stop the bleeding/leaking. “He knows things, too,” a wise man pointed out.

Bill O’Reilly Calls for “Incompetent” New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio to Resign from Office … He Has Disgraced the Office of the Mayor of NYC

Last night on the O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly called for the resignation of NYC Mayor Bill de Blazio.

“You have a mayor that comes in, a man named Bill de Blasio. He is a far left individual, who is incompetent. He cannot run the city of New York.”

FOX Nation:

Greg Gutfeld guest-hosted “The Factor” tonight, but Bill O’Reilly could not stay silent about the brutal murder of two NYPD officers. O’Reilly called in to the show to share his thoughts on the tragic situation and to call for the resignation of “incompetent” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

“You have a mayor that comes in, a man named Bill de Blasio. He is a far left individual, who is incompetent,” O’Reilly said. “He cannot run the city of New York.”

O’Reilly said that the suspect in the murder of the two officers, Ismaaiyl Brinsley, was using the grand jury decisions in the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner as an excuse, not as a mission.

“Everybody should know this is a terrible individual. And I hope he’s enjoying hell right now,” O’Reilly stated, adding that there are millions of people like Brinsley running around, because our society does not hold them accountable.

O’Reilly made it clear, however, that no one else has blood on their hands for the murder of the NYPD cops, just Brinsley.

“Aiding and abetting Brinsley and other maniacs? Those protesters who yelled ‘we want dead cops.’ Everybody heard it. Those people should be shunned. If you know them, never speak to them again.”

As for Mayor de Blasio, O’Reilly said that he’s been anti-police his whole career.

“Who’s his best friend? Al Sharpton. Al Sharpton. A racial provocateur and anti-cop individual is de Blasio’s best friend. That says it all,” “The Factor” host stated.

Darren Wilson Resigns from Ferguson Police Department To Protect Fellow Police Officers

Less than one week after police officer Darren Wilson was not indicted by a grand jury in the shooting death of Michael Brown, Darren Wilson has officially resigned for the Ferguson, Missouri police department. It had been previously reported that Wilson was in talks with the police department to resign. But, thanks to the efforts of those with an agenda who refused to listen or care about the facts of the shooting, their efforts to persecute officer Wilson and get their pound of flesh forced him out of his job. Too bad the trouble makers and race-baiters and “vultures” could not be forced out of their jobs as well.

Darren Wilson

Citing threats of violence, Darren Wilson, who fatally shot Michael Brown Aug. 9, resigned from the Ferguson Police Department on Saturday.

Wilson, 28, whom a St. Louis County grand jury declined to indict in connection with the shooting, had worked for the city’s police department for six years.

In a telephone interview Saturday evening, Wilson said he resigned after the police department told him it had received threats that violence would ensue if he remained an employee.

“I’m resigning of my own free will,” he said. “I’m not willing to let someone else get hurt because of me.”

He said resigning was “the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.”

Darren Wilson’s resignation letter reads, in part:

“I have been told that my continued employment may put the residents and police officers of the City of Ferguson at risk, which is a circumstance that I cannot allow. For obvious reasons, I wanted to wait until the grand jury made their decision before I officially made my decision to resign. It was my hope to continue in police work, but the safety of other police officers and the community are of paramount importance to me. It is my hope that my resignation will allow the community to heal.”

Sadly, it is bias headlines and reporting like this from NBC that is partially the reason why Wilson had to resign. But what else should we expect from the lying, agenda driven MSM?

As reported at the NY Times, Adolphus Pruitt, of the NAACP’s St. Louis chapter, said the resignation “not only fulfills one of the demands of the protesters, but also provides for one of the steps necessary for the wholesale reconstructions of law enforcement in Ferguson.”

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel Shown the Door … Barack Obama Can Tolerate A Lot, Cluelessness, Incompetence & Laziness But Not Criticism

THAT WAS QUICK …

Barack Obama’s Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is out. Some say he resigned, others say it was a firing. In any event, Hagel has stepped down as Defense Secretary. Talk about a revolving door. On January 7, 2013, President Barack Obama nominated Hagel to serve as Secretary of Defense. On February 12, 2013, the Senate Armed Services Committee approved Hagel’s nomination. Now on 11/23/14, Hagel has resigned. The former Senator from Nebraska had many missteps and seemed like he was over his head from the outset. But how should that be any different from others in Obama’s inner circle, including Obama himself? However, it was Hagel’s criticism of Obama policy that ultimately led to his demise.  Hagel’s comment that ISIS is “like beyond anything we have ever seen” might have been the truth, but as we have seen on so many other occasions with the Obama presidency, there is no place for the truth with this administration.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel’s exit from the Obama administration came after weeks of discussion with President Obama over what role he would play in shaping defense policy over the last two years of his term.

The pair ultimately came to the conclusion that another leader would be better equipped to lead the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), senior administration and Defense officials said.

While aides described the departure as a mutual decision based on shifting priorities at the Department of Defense, there are signs that tensions between Hagel and the White House contributed to the personnel change.

RCP:

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: Hagel’s problems were not institutional, he was over his head from the beginning. Anybody who watched his hearings knew that, he knew that. He was sort of a non-presence for the first year or so. The irony is that he got tossed in the end and thrown under the bus because he actually sort of spoke up, spoke out and spoke the truth on the fact that the Syrian policy was entirely incoherent. He went against the White House and Susan Rice and the NSC, who were trying to manage his department and manage the Department of Defense over his head. And when he said the truth, he criticized the administration. Obama can tolerate a lot — cluelessness, incompetence, laziness — but not criticism; he had to go.

Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson in Talks to Resign; as Grand Jury Decision Nears

Even if officer Darren Wilson is not indicted on any charges, he is forced to resign …

As we all wait for the the grand jury decision in the shooting death of Michael Brown by police officer Darren Wilson, CNN is reporting that Officer Wilson is in talks to resign. Wilson is supposedly in the final stages of talks to resign. Previously, Ferguson Chief of Police Tom Jackson said that Officer Wilson would be immediately returned back to active duty if he is not indicted. That seems not to be the case. Officer Wilson continues to maintains he has done nothing wrong, and the resignation talks have hinged on whether a grand jury returns an indictment against him in Brown’s death. His reason for leaving his job has more to do with easing pressure and protect his fellow officers. The sad reality is though, a police officer may not only be found not guilty of a crime, he may not even be indicted of one and still pretty much be forced to resign. That is what happens when community agitators come to town.

As a grand jury gets closer to announcing its decision, Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson, who fatally shot Michael Brown, is in the final stages of negotiations with city officials to resign, sources close to the talks said.

The grand jury hearing evidence is preparing to meet Friday for what might be its final session. A decision on whether to charge Wilson in the death of the unarmed teen could come the same day, law enforcement officials have said.

Wilson maintains he has done nothing wrong, and the resignation talks have hinged on whether a grand jury returns an indictment against him in Brown’s death, the sources said.

While Wilson has told associates he would resign to help ease pressure and protect his fellow officers, he’s expressed concern about resigning while the grand jury was hearing evidence for fear it would appear he was admitting fault.

Wilson could announce as soon as Friday his plans to resign, the same day a St. Louis County grand jury meets to deliberate and possibly decide on an indictment.
