Wright State University President Apoligizes for Black History Month Menu Featuring Fried Chicken & Collard Greens

AM I MISSING SOMETHING, IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE A JOKE. POLITICAL CORRECTNESS REACHES A NEW STUPIDITY …  FRIED CHICKEN AND COLLARD GREENS ARE AUTHENTIC SOUL FOOD?

Wright State University president  David Hopkins and  its dining services vendor have apologized for creating a menu for Black History month that included fried chicken and collard greens. HUH? The menu consisted of fried chicken, collard greens, mashed potatoes and cornbread. Okay, I am still missing the problem, was it the fact that potatoes are not ethnic?  This is just another example that some people will complain about anything and will forever be a victim, no matter what. Supposedly, Billy Barabino, a senior organizational leadership major from New Jersey and president of the Black Student Union was offended saying the following, “I was really hurt (by the menu). Extremely hurt.” For me, it was a knock in the face for African (and) African- American individuals who have fought for us to be progressive. I was extremely offended by it because it minimizes who we are as people.” Dude, did anyone tell you that this type of food is your heritage? Isn’t that the point of Black History month, to honor the black heritage and culture in America?

A note to Billy Barabino and the rest of the victims, you do realize that fried chicken, hog maw, collard greens, ham hocks, black-eyed peas, okra, turnip greens, cornbread, Hoecake, Hoppin John, fatback and chitlins are all authentic African-American soul food, right? You might want to try some fried catfish, chicken and dumplings or Collar Greens with Ham Hocks. Instead of complaining about being offended, maybe you might want to try them, they are actually good. Amen to the folks over at The Last Tradition, PC Stupidity when Liberals at Wright State University feel Fried Chicken and Collard Greens is offensive cuisine for Black history month.

University Apologizes For Black History Month Dining Menu Featuring Fried Chicken, Collard Greens.

After a menu featuring fried chicken and collard greens under a photo of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and other African American leaders for Black History Month, the president of Wright State University in Ohio and its dining services vendor have apologized.

The Dayton Daily News reported that images were circulated on social media, calling it offensive and disrespectful.

President David Hopkins wrote in an email of the university’s commitment to diversity and pride at hosting the Phoenix Project and forum featuring daughters of several civil rights leaders. Hopkins said he would find out why a menu sign included chicken, mashed potatoes, collard greens and cornbread under a picture of Martin Luther King Jr. and other famous black figures, according to the Dayton Daily News.

“I apologize to anyone hurt by the display,” Hopkins wrote in an email. “To our credit, the menu was quickly removed. But the larger question remains: Why was it done? I will find out. We will take steps to prevent this kind of behavior occurring in the future.”

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services released a statement that read, in part:

“Chartwells celebrates many national events on campus and tries to provide authentic and traditional cuisine to reflect each theme. In no way was the promotion associated with Black History Month meant to be insensitive. We could have done a better job putting this in context of a cultural dining experience. We sincerely apologize.”

I am still trying to figure out how this idiot Billy Barabino is extremely hurt and exactly what action do you plan to take? How exactly is having on a menu, that which is ethnic food that blacks have ate in the past and continue to do so offensive and not an effort in diversity? Seriously, does Billy not understand that is his history? Are you telling me that the many times that I have gone to friends houses that are black and we ate fried chicken, collard greens, black-eyed peas, black-eyed peas, fried okra, turnip greens and cornbread, we were being racist? Maybe some one should tell my black friends. I hate to break it to you Billy Barabino but no one of your ancestors in the United States were eating Kapenta with sadza and Namibian venison.

I guess Billy doesn’t get too much soul food in Jersey.

I can’t wait until the Irish complain that they are offended and extremely hurt on St. Patrick’s Day when when the food vender serve corned-beef and cabbage, boxty, and Shepherd’s Pie.

Or in March during Greek-American Heritage Month when the Greek students conduct boycotts and  “no justice, no peace” protests in the cafeteria when they serve Moussaka, Baklava, Tzatziki and Gyros.

And in May during Asian Pacific American History Month don’t even think about serving rice.

72 Year Old Gordon VanGilder is Facing Up to 10 Years in Prison for Having an Antique 1700′s Flintlock Pistol in his Car

If this New Jersey resident is found guilty and is sentenced to prison time, then this country is lost. Here is today’s quiz,  72 year old Gordon VanGilder is facing up to 10 years in prison for having the which of the following guns in his possession?

1. a Ruger 9 mm semiautomatic
2. a Smith and Wesson .357 revolver
3. an AK-47 or AR-15
4. 1770′s Flintlock Pistol

If you answered #4, an 18th century flintlock pistol, you would be correct. In what might be one of the greatest overreach of government and assault on the 2nd Amendment, 72 year old Gordon VanGilder, a former school teacher of 34 years,  was pulled over by Cumberland County police. He was later arrested by multiple police officers, hand cuffed and perp walked to the police cruiser for the possession of an antique 1700′s flintlock pistol that could never be mistaken as a self-defense type weapon. In fact the pistol is celebrating its 300th birthday. The entire miscarriage of justice began when VanGuider was pulled over by a Sheriff’s deputy for a minor traffic violation.

WITH ALL THE FRIGGING CRIME YOU HAVE IN NEW JERSEY AND YOU HARASS A 72 YEAR OLD WITH A FLINTLOCK BECAUSE YOU CAN … YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. BECAUSE I GET A FLINTLOCK AND AN UZI AND MAC-10 CONFUSED ALL THE TIME.

The retired teacher is facing a possible 10 years in prison — and the jeopardization of his pension — all because New Jersey state law classifies antique firearms the same way it classifies regular guns, meaning the state views van Gilder’s possession of an antique on par with him possessing a .44 Magnum.

The day after van Gilder told a deputy during a routine traffic stop about his antique gun, four law enforcement officers showed up at his house to arrest him.

Evan Nappen, an attorney who specializes in gun law cases and is representing Mr. Van Gilder, says that even a plea agreement that avoids jail time but convicts Mr. Van Gilder of a felony would likely jeopardize his teacher’s pension he spent 34 years earning, Legal Insurrection reported.

“It’s a mid-1700s flintlock bonafide antique pistol, unloaded, and yet he’s facing the same draconian penalty as if he had a .44 magnum loaded on his person. It doesn’t matter. There’s no distinction,” Mr. Nappen said.

Mr. Nappen said the prosecutor in the case even asked for ballistics testing on the black powder gun — an exercise that experts in the video argued is futile on such an old firearm.

Mr. Van Gilder said he refuses to spend what could be the rest of his life behind bars and declared he isn’t going to go down without a fight.

Looks like the MSM is giving Harf another opportunity to explain her ridiculous comments. That’s correct, Harf defends her “JOBS FOR JIHADISTS” comments. What else is the liberal Democrat media complex to do. Harf appeared with Wolf Blitzer on CNN’s The Situation Room and attempted to clarify her point. Sorry, did I just hear Harf repeat the following, “We cannot kill every terrorist around the world, nor should we try.” NOR SHOULD WE TRY? NOR SHOULD WE TRY!!!

Maybe Barack Obama will create a new government program, Welfare and Food Stamps for terrorist.

“I’m not the first person to say something like this,” Harf said. “Military commanders that we’ve had throughout many years here fighting this war on terrorism have said the exact same thing, that in the short term when there’s a threat like ISIL. We’ll take direct military action against these terrorists. We have done that. We are doing that in Iraq and Syria. But longer term, we have to look at how we combat the conditions that can lead people to turn to extremism.”

Unbelievable, she is quoting George W. Bush and the Bush doctrine. This from the same Obama administration that has had nothing good to say about GWB and his handling of the war on terror. Barack Obama has tried to distance himself from w, and change everything and anything away from Bush … now when backed into a corner because of so-called “nuanced” comments, they turn to GWB to defend their foreign policy. ARE YOU KIDDING? You know the Obama administration has hit rock bottom when they need W for help.

That is possible, in an effort to sign up as many individuals as possible to Obamacare, the Obama administration has gone to incredible, extraordinary lengths to partner with churches and faith-based groups, to even publishing sample church bulletin inserts, flyers, and Obamacre “talking points.”  This brought to you by the same people that rail against religion, the Christian religion that is, that might have the slightest inclusion within government. When it is about 10 Commandments in a Court House … that is Seperation of Church and State. But of course it is perfectly okay to promote a federal government mandated law in Church, complete with talking points.

Isn’t this the same crew that is currently suing the Little Sisters of the Poor, trying to force Obamacare on nuns?

In an effort to sign up as many consumers as possible for insurance under the Affordable Care Act (or Obamacare), the Obama administration has gone to extraordinary lengths to partner with churches and other faith-based groups, even publishing sample church bulletin inserts, flyers, and scripts for announcements, as well as “talking points.” These materials are part of the “Second Sunday & Faith Weekend of Action Toolkit,” which is available on the website of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

From the beginning, HHS has sought to develop partnerships with faith-based organizations to promote the Obamacare. This “toolkit” has been available since 2013. However, the details of these partnerships have largely escaped the attention of the national media. The Second Sunday & Faith Weekend of Action program encourages churches to use the second Sunday of each month during open enrollment to hold informational meetings and sign-up events. The sample bulletin insert appears as follows:
