Secret Service Agents Recalled From Colombia & Relieved of Duty Amid Allegations of Misconduct Involving Prostitution

Add 12 more individuals to the ranks of the unemployed under Barack Obama … Kind of makes the saying taking a bullet for the President into a new light.

The advance party of twelve Secret Service agents providing foreign security detail for President Obama’s attendance at an international leaders’ ‘Summit of the Americas’ in Cartagena, Colombia have been recalled home and relieved of duty amid allegations of misconduct in connection with prostitutes. According to accounts the agents were alleged to have been boozing and using the services of of the local talent employed in  the world’s oldest profession.

The U.S. Secret Service is investigating allegations of misconduct by agents who had been sent to Cartagena, Colombia, to provide security for President Obama’s trip to a summit that began there Friday.

Edwin Donovan, an agency spokesman, said that an unspecified number of agents have been recalled and replaced with others, stressing that Obama’s security has not been compromised because of the change. Obama arrived in Cartagena on Friday afternoon for this weekend’s Summit of the Americas, a gathering of 33 of the hemisphere’s 35 leaders to discuss economic policy and trade.

Donovan declined to disclose details about the nature of the alleged misconduct. But Jon Adler, president of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, said the accusations relate to at least one agent having involvement with prostitutes in Cartagena.

As reported at The Hill, the matter had been “turned over to our Office of Professional Responsibility and any inquiries at to be directed to the Secret Service. According to the NY Post, the entire matter was exposed when one of the agents refused to pay a hooker and she ratted him out trying to collect for services rendered. I guess they forgot the age old add age, if you are going to play, you have to pay.

“There have been allegations of misconduct made against the Secret Service in Cartagena, Colombia, prior to the president’s trip,” Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan said in a statement, according to reports.

“Because of this, those personnel are being relieved of their assignments, returned to their place of duty, and are being replaced by other Secret Service personnel. The Secret Service takes all allegations of misconduct seriously.”

Just like with the GSA excessive spending scandal, look for the Obama administration to blame this one on Bush as well. Seriously, who ever the President is and if you agree or disagree with their policies, the fact that Secret Service agents would act to recklessly and put themselves into such a position, several positions one might surmise, is simply unacceptable. How could agents do some thing so ignorant that would subject them to blackmail? Who is in charge of a Secret Service these days, former NY Governor Eliot Spitzer?

UPDATE II: The Secret Service in the Obama Admin redefining the term “advance work”. It is unbelievable that such a scandal would break because a foolish Secret Service agent would get into an argument over the cost of services rendered with a hooker when the agent should never have been the cavorting with such types in the first place. How could anyone be so ignorant yet be in such a position?

The argument was a dispute over the bill for services rendered, the administration official said.

Hotel Caribe authorities went to investigate the ruckus and learned that there had been some activity between Secret Service agents and prostitutes, the senior administration official said.

Hotel authorities then went down to the reception desk to see who else of the American guests may have signed in female guests — call girls — for the evening.

Obama White House Blames Bush Administration for GSA Excessive Spending Debacle … Pathetic

President Barack Obama has proved to be one of the worst leaders that America has had the sad experience to witness in quite some time. Every time there is a negative issue that he faces, his answer is not to provide solutions, his answer is to blame George W. Bush. How often have we heard that the economy is all Bush’s fault? Granted, in some cases Obama is correct; however, what purpose does that serve? Three plus years in Obama’s first term and he and his minions are still blaming Bush for anything that is perceived to be a negative.

Add the GSA excessive spending scandal top the latest debacle that is Bush’s fault. HUH? That is correct, the recent GSA $823,000 tax payer waste of money during the Obama Administration is blaming George W. Bush with their constant convoluted circular logic of the Obama White House. I guess the making of the VIDEO by a GSA  employee was Bush’s fault as well?

The Obama administration is responding to the recent report that shows a federal agency spent more that $800,000 on a lavish conference near Las Vegas by putting some of the blame on the Bush administration.

“At least we have taken, bold, swift forceful action to hold those responsible accountable and put in place protections to make sure this never happened again,” a White House official told Fox News.

First we had to stomach yet another example of government wasteful spending when the GSA spent $823,000 on a conference near Las Vegas complete with mind readers and clowns. Now we find out there were more clowns present than first reported. Hank Terlaje, an employee of the Hawaiian office of the GSA, won first prize for the creative project and was named honorary GSA commissioner for the day. Are you serious?  First the government has a wasteful spending conference and then they give out a prize to an individual who makes a video about the excessive spending. UNREAL!

The same government agency already under fire for wasteful spending at a Las Vegas conference is under further scrutiny today for a newly discovered video featuring a U.S. General Services Administration employee joking about excess government spending.

The video features a GSA employee, identified as Hank Terlaje, playing the ukulele to the tune of Travie McCoy & Bruno Mars’ “I Wanna Be a Billionaire,” and rapping about what life would be like were he to become the GSA administrator, or in his parlance “Commissioner.” Among his promises, ironically, is that the agency would “never be under OIG investigation.”

The Barack Obama Presidency has no credibility. Obama is quick to call out Republican House Rep Paul Ryan’s budget, yet Obama and his minions are as quiet as a church mouse when it comes to why “The One” says nada when it comes to Harry Reid and the US Senate’s and the president’s own budget. What is most incredible is when Obama references Ryan’s budget as radical, it sounds like he is talking about his own policies and agenda.

Johnson resigns and two of her top deputies were fired after being caught in a disturbing report of complete contempt for tax payer money as the GSA wasted823,000 training conference, held for 300 individuals. The chief of the General Services Administration resigned, two of her top deputies were fired and four managers were placed on leave Monday amid reports of lavish spending at a conference off the Las Vegas Strip that featured a clown, a mind reader and a $31,208 reception.

Administrator Martha N. Johnson, in her resignation letter, acknowledged a “significant misstep” at the agency that manages real estate for the federal government. “Taxpayer dollars were squandered,” she wrote. At the start of her tenure in February 2010 she called ethics “a big issue for me.”

The leadership collapse came hours before GSA Inspector General Brian D. Miller released a scathing report on the $823,000 training conference, held for 300 West Coast employees at the M Resort and Casino, an opulent hotel in Henderson, Nev., just south of Las Vegas.

The Obamacare vs. We the People at the SCOTUS was billed as one of the most important court cases in recent history. The federal government thru Obamacare is forcing Americans to buy and “approved” Obama insurance and forcing people into a market, rather than regulating a market. One would have thought that Obama’s legal mouth pieces would have been more prepared. I guess not.

Wow, Solicitor General Verrilli stuttered and stammered his way through his presentation to the SCOTUS like President Obama speaking to the public without a teleprompter. Can you say that day two and the government defending the individual mandate was a complete disaster? YES!!! As stated at Mother Jones, Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr. should be grateful to the Supreme Court for refusing to allow cameras in the courtroom. Time after time it appeared that Verrilli was so ill prepared and searched for answers to simple Justice’s questions. As opined at the Daily Caller, Verrilli was asked, If the government can force people to buy health insurance, justices wanted to know, can it require people to buy burial insurance? One would think that they would have prepared for such. Not so much. However, this is what happens when one is asked to defend the indefensible. One day Obamacare penalty is tax, the next, it is not.

Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr. should be grateful to the Supreme Court for refusing to allow cameras in the courtroom, because his defense of Obamacare on Tuesday may go down as one of the most spectacular flameouts in the history of the court.

Stepping up to the podium, Verrilli stammered as he began his argument. He coughed, he cleared his throat, he took a drink of water. And that was before he even finished the first part of his argument. Sounding less like a world-class lawyer and more like a teenager giving an oral presentation for the first time, Verrilli delivered a rambling, apprehensive legal defense of liberalism’s biggest domestic accomplishment since the 1960s—and one that may well have doubled as its eulogy.

As reported at RCP, Justice Kennedy stated that the “Individual Mandate” would fundamentally change the relationship between the government and “We the People” (VIDEO). BINGO!!! Who would have thought that Justice Kennedy would have been such a skeptic?

SOLICITOR GENERAL VERRILLI: I agree, except, Mr. Chief Justice, that what the Court has said as I read the Court’s cases is that the way in which you ensure that the Federal Government stays in its sphere and the sphere reserved for the States is protected is by policing the boundary: Is the national government regulating economic activity with a substantial effect on interstate commerce?

JUSTICE KENNEDY: But the reason, the reason this is concerning, is because it requires the individual to do an affirmative act. In the law of torts our tradition, our law, has been that you don’t have the duty to rescue someone if that person is in danger. The blind man is walking in front of a car and you do not have a duty to stop him absent some relation between you. And there is some severe moral criticisms of that rule, but that’s generally the rule.

And here the government is saying that the Federal Government has a duty to tell the individual citizen that it must act, and that is different from what we have in previous cases and that changes the relationship of the Federal Government to the individual in the very fundamental way.

Justice Antonin Scalia asked how the individual mandate was different from forcing Americans to buy broccoli? BTW, 87% of Americans agree with Scalia’s mandate on broccoli.

“If the government can do that, what else can it do?” asked Justice Antonin Scalia, referring to the individual mandate portion of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. He then questioned whether Congress could also require individuals to buy vegetables, such as broccoli.

No matter what the outcome is in the SCOTUS, this is going to be damning to Barack Obana in 2012.

Today the SCOTUS begins hearing oral arrangements against President Barack Obama’s signature piece of legislation, Obamacare. For the next three days and a total of 6 hours, oral arrangements will be made on the Constitutionality of Obamacre. However, today the SCOTUS will hear whether they have to wait for the mandate to kick in before they can hear the case. That does not occur until 2014. Tomorrow the SCOTUS will hear the arguments of the individual mandate.

Will Obama’s attorneys be wearing “BFD” shirts to the SCOTUS?

President Obama’s signature domestic achievement — and, with it, a big part of his political legacy — is now in the hands of the Supreme Court.

The nine justices on Monday will begin hearing three consecutive days of oral arguments about whether the healthcare law is unconstitutional. The landmark legal challenge threatens to overturn an historic legislative victory, raising the stakes once again in a debate that will help define Obama’s presidency.

The six-hour oral argument is the longest the court has heard in 45 years. And this is the first time in more than 75 years that the court is in a position to strike down a sitting president’s agenda while he runs for reelection.

Bin Laden Ordered Obama Assassination to Put “Completely Unprepared” Joe Biden Into Office of Presidency

This is rather interesting … Osama bin Laden ordered  assassination of President Barack Obama to cause chaos and have a “completely unprepared” Joe Biden assume the Presidency. Hmm … imagine that logic, having a “totally unprepared and inept” President taken out in liu of a “completely unprepared” one. It would appear that Bin Laden spent one too many days in seclusion.

Who is the “completely unprepared” one?

Before his death, Osama bin Laden boldly commanded his network to organize special cells in Afghanistan and Pakistan to attack the aircraft of President Obama and Gen. David H. Petraeus.

“The reason for concentrating on them,” the al-Qaeda leader explained to his top lieutenant, “is that Obama is the head of infidelity and killing him automatically will make [Vice President] Biden take over the presidency. .?.?. Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the U.S. into a crisis. As for Petraeus, he is the man of the hour .?.?. and killing him would alter the war’s path” in Afghanistan.

Administration officials said Friday that the Obama-Petraeus plot was never a serious threat.

The scheme is described in one of the documents taken from bin Laden’s compound by U.S. forces on May 2, the night he was killed. CBO Says that Obamacare Will Cost $1.76 trillion over Next 10 Years … Wonder Why We the People Want it Repealed?

OBAMACARE … THE BIG LIE:  Obamacare Will Cost $1.76 trillion as opposed to the $940 billion … Hey America, how’s that “Hopey-Changey” stuff working out for ya?

Up, up and away … Obamacare will cost $1.76 trillion over the next decade. That is a far cry from the $940 billion that ‘We the People” were told when this government take over of healthcare law was shoved down our throats and against the will of the People.  Now we learn that the cost is nearly double from what Obama, Pelosi and Reid told us. Presently, 50% of Americans want to repeal Obamacare and 38% are in favor of it. Imagine how these numbers will change when Americans realized they were duped.

President Obama’s national health care law will cost $1.76 trillion over a decade, according to a new projection released today by the Congressional Budget Office, rather than the $940 billion forecast when it was signed into law.

Democrats employed many accounting tricks when they were pushing through the national health care legislation, the most egregious of which was to delay full implementation of the law until 2014, so it would appear cheaper under the CBO’s standard ten-year budget window and, at least on paper, meet Obama’s pledge that the legislation would cost “around $900 billion over 10 years.” When the final CBO score came out before passage, critics noted that the true 10 year cost would be far higher than advertised once projections accounted for full implementation.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi told us that we needed to pass the bill in order to find out what was in it? Nice try, but as we are reminded by the Gateway Pundit, Obama and his minions knew the $940 billion was a lie. Weasel Zippers states that this is only 87% or $820 billion more than when the bill was passed. We will add, now imagine how much Obamacare will actually cost when implemented? Tack on another $500 – 750 billion. When all is said and done this is over a $2 trillion nightmare for America.  Many thinking people at the time Obamacare was being promised realized what Obama was promising was BS. So much for President Obama’s core principles to Obamacare. Reducing health care costs and the deficit … hardly. The Lonely Conservatives emphasizes the horrific fact that many Americans will lose their insurance coverage and be forced on to Medicaid.

Barack Obama’s Shovel Ready Projects … GITMO Terrorists Get $750,000 Soccer Field

Is GITMO a prison or summer camp for terrorists?

The federal debt is at an out of control $1 trillion, yet that does not stop the feds from continuing to waste even more money. GITMO terrorists get $750,000 soccer field. May I ask who actually provides the stamp of approval on such ridiculous and wasteful projects to the American tax payers? Add this to the list of Obama’s “shovel ready” projects.

At a time of record deficits, a new soccer field for detainees at Camp 6 in Guantanamo Bay is just getting the finishing touches — at a cost of $750,000 to taxpayers.

The project was the highlight of a tour Tuesday of the detention camp for reporters at the facility covering the arraignment in a military court of Majid Khan, a former Baltimore resident and the the only legal U.S. resident on trial at Guantanamo.

The project began in April 2011 and is due to finish this spring. The detainees will now have three recreation facilities at Camp 6, which is home to “highly compliant” detainees who live in a communal setting.

In addition to an indoor recreation field and the existing outdoor recreation field, the new soccer field — selected because it is such a popular sport with detainees — is half the size of an American football field.

How do most Americans feel … what Atlas Shrugs said, “I think I am going to puke. Then cry. Or maybe cry first and then puke.”
