U.S. Weekly Jobless Claims up 78,000 to 439,000 in First Report Following Presidential Election

If you can no longer blame George W. Bush … blame Sandy.  WHAT A JOKE, AMERICA, ARE YOU LAUGHING BECAUSE OBAMA IS.

The first weekly first time filing for unemployment report has been issued following the 2012 Presidential election and surprise, surprise, surprise … weekly jobless claims are up 78,000 to 439,000. Of course this is all due to Hurricane Sandy and nothing to do with Barack Obama winning reelection. A president whose only remedy to fix the economy is taxing the rich. P.T Barnum was correct, there is a sucker born every minute and unfortunately they voted in the 2012 Presidential election. 375,000 claims was expected and that was with experts considering Hurricane Sandy. So where did all these unexpected unemployment claims come from? Of course the fact that this is the first report since the Presidential election has nothing to do with such an increase in claims. Because the Obama administration would never hold back information from the American people, ah BENGHAZI.

Obama is laughing at you America … they bought it, BAH, HA, HA, HA

The Labor Department said applications increased by 78,000 because a large number of applications were filed in states damaged by the storm. People can claim unemployment benefits if their workplaces close and they don’t get paid.

The storm may distort claims for another two weeks, the department has said.

The four-week average of applications, a less volatile number, increased to 383,750.

Before the storm, applications fluctuated between 360,000 and 390,000 this year. At the same time, employers added an average of nearly 157,000 jobs a month. That’s barely enough to lower the unemployment rate, which was 7.9 percent in October.

Meanwhile, rising food costs and higher rents offset a drop in gas prices last month, leaving consumer prices only slightly higher in October compared with the previous month.

Was Hurricane Sandy part of the reason why there was a huge increase in jobless claims, yes. Was it all of the reason, not on your life. All of the experts were way off and that was considering the effects of Sandy. It is just a coincidence that this spike occurred after the election. Maybe the Obama defenders would like to explain how Sandy is then also responsible for the Stock market losing over 700 points since his reelection and 4%. Hmm? I guess you can fool most of the people all of the time.

Now that the Election is Over … Barack Obama is back to Playing Golf

Unbelievable, the only thing that has prevented President Barack Obama from playing golf was his reelection. The Golfer in Chief has returned.

Looks like we are getting the same old Barack Obama, he is now back on the golf course as the Middle East burns and America is headed off the fiscal cliff.  Sadly, the American voters have decided to make the next four years just more of the same. Nothing could prevent Obama from playing golf except his reelection. Not a US economy in crisis, a national debt of +$16 trillion, record number of Americans on food stamps, record low job participation rate of Americans, the impending fiscal cliff and US soldiers paying the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Nope, only his reelection was the most important thing for Obama to prevent him from playing golf. Now he’s back to his old games that the election is over.

President Barack Obama is spending his first Saturday after winning reelection on the golf course. Today’s outing is to the course on Andrews Air Force Base.

“Motorcade arrived at Andrews Air Force Base at 11:01 am after an uneventful ride,” the pool report reads. “President Obama is playing golf with three White House aides: Eugene Kang, Joe Paulson and trip director Marvin Nicholson, according to a White House official. Pool is holding at the Andrews fast food court for the next few hours.”

George Will Predicts Romney Landslide 321-217 on ABC’s ‘This Week” … Similar to Barone’s Landslide Prediction

Most pundits are calling the 2012 Presidential race too close to call as the RCP averages of polls have it a dead tie.

However, that did not stop conservative columnist on ABC’s “This Week’ to predict a Mitt Romney electoral landslide. Will predicted a 321-217 electoral victory for Romney. What I do find interesting is that a couple of people have gone out on a limb and said that Romney will get over 300 electoral votes; however, no one is really saying that Obama will do such. What we are seeing from Will and Barone is that if the undecided’s break for the challenger Mitt Romney, battleground states could fall like dominoes for Romney.

On this weekend’s broadcast of “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” on ABC, Will revealed his prediction and added a bonus surprise by saying traditional Democratic state Minnesota would go for Romney as well.

“I’m projecting Minnesota to go for Romney,” Will said. “It’s the only state that’s voted democratic in nine consecutive elections, but this year, there’s marriage amendment on the ballot that will bring out the evangelicals and I think could make the difference.”

Add Will’s landslide prediction to that of numbers cruncher extraordinaire Michael Barone. His prediction of a landslide is based
on fundamentals, a majority of Americans are against Obama’s policies.  and a sluggish economy where job growth and recovery has been far too slow. Barone is predicting a Romney 315, Obama 223 landslide. Barone stated that it sounds high for Romney, but he could lose Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and still win the election.

Which candidate will get the electoral votes of the target states? I’ll go out on a limb and predict them, in ascending order of 2008 Obama percentages — fully aware that I’m likely to get some wrong.

Indiana (11 ). Uncontested. Romney.

North Carolina (15). Obama has abandoned this target. Romney.

Florida (29). The biggest target state has trended Romney since the Denver debate. I don’t see any segment of the electorate favoring Obama more than in 2008, and I see some (South Florida Jews) favoring him less. Romney.

Ohio (18). The anti-Romney auto bailout ads have Obama running well enough among blue-collar voters for him to lead most polls. But many polls anticipate a more Democratic electorate than in 2008. Early voting tells another story, and so does the registration decline in Cleveland’s Cuyahoga County. In 2004, intensity among rural, small -town and evangelical voters, undetected by political reporters who don’t mix in such circles, produced a narrow Bush victory. I see that happening again. Romney.

The Economy is #1 Issue in 2012 Presidential Election and Obama Does not Even Meet with his Own Jobs Council

The economy/jobs is the number one issue with Americans in the 2012 Presidential election. Obama has stated in multiple State of the Union speeches and on the campaign trail that jobs is his primary focus. Really?

Who really thinks that jobs have been a priority for Obama? When asked in an interview by the Des Moines Register, Obama stated that he had no regrets over prioritizing Obamacare over jobs. So then it should come as no surprise that Barack Obama didn’t even join in on “Job Council” monthly calls.

Remember back in July when the administration told reporters Barack Obama was too busy to meet with his jobs council? How about Obama missing more than half of his daily briefing meetings as well.

The absentee president cant be bothered with doing the job of president, he has been too busy for four years campaigning instead.

Paul Otellini, CEO on Obama’s Jobs Council Endorses Mitt Romney

Even those on Obama’s Jobs Council are backing Mitt Romney.

How bad is it for president Barack Obama and his failed agenda and policies for the economy and job growth? CEO’s across the US are touting Mitt Romney to be president in 2012 including members of Obama’s own jobs council. Paul Otellini, Intel’s CEO who is on Obama’s Jobs Council  has endorsed Romney.

To that end, the Romney campaign trotted out a roster of well-known business leaders Thursday who are backing the Republican presidential nominee. Supporters include Charles Schwab, Cisco Chief Executive John Chambers and Bernie Marcus, the co-founder of Home Depot. The newest name on the list belongs to Intel CEO Paul Otellini, a member of President Barack Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.

Mr. Otellini’s relationship with the president has been hot-and-cold since Mr. Obama took office. In 2010, he criticized the administration for failing to generate more robust job growth. He was particularly critical of the stimulus. But the Intel CEO joined the president’s so-called jobs council to much fanfare the following year as Mr. Obama embarked on a very public – if short-lived – courtship of big business.
