Solyndra may be bankrupt, so-called green jobs gone, the buildings for sale and $535 million of tax payer stimulus dollars evaporated into thin air, but according to CBS5 in San Fransisco … we have toxic waste. Hmm, the “Greenies” never mentioned the leftover hazardous materials dangerous to the environment bi-products of green energy.

Three months ago, CBS 5 caught Solyndra tossing millions of dollars worth of brand new glass tubes used to make solar panels. Now the bankrupt solar firm, once touted as a symbol of green technology, may be trying to abandon toxic waste.

It’s a tedious process. Slowly but surely, the shattered remains of brand new solar panel tubes head to a recycling plant in Hayward.

Meanwhile the next phase of the company’s liquidation is under way. It involves getting rid of all the heavy metals left inside the building that were used to make the panels.

Doug Powers at Michelle Malkin.com brings up a rather interesting dichotomy when it comes to so-called “green” energy.

As you read this keep in mind that the whole pitch for projects like Solyndra revolves around “clean” energy and saving the environment — which is harder to take seriously every time the term “solar waste” is used to describe the potentially dangerous aftermath.

Another Obama Green Energy Company Bites the Dust … Solar Trust Files Bankruptcy … Tax Payers Out Billions

Another one of Barack Obama’s “green” energy companies bites the dust . Solar Trust of America files bankruptcy. But don’t worry, its not like this was a Solydra, it was worse. The U.S. Department of Energy had awarded a $2.1 billion loan guarantee to Solar Trust of America for a solar thermal power plant near Blythe, CA. That is correct tax payers … $2.1 billion!!!

Quickly running out of money, solar-project developer Solar Trust of America LLC filed for bankruptcy before it could finish a multibillion-dollar solar plant in California that was planned to generate electricity as one of the world’s largest solar-power projects.

The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Delaware on Monday after majority owner Solar Millennium AG—now under the control of a German bankruptcy professional—stopped putting money into the company.

Who knew that we would look back upon the bankruptcy of Solyndra as a drop in the tax payers wasted money bucket?  Just how many “green” jobs have been lost under Obama?

The Lonely Conservative opines that Barack Obama is making the political rounds on the campaign trail saying the Republicans want to cut his investments in green companies. And Obama thinks that doubling down and defending “green” companies that have lost the American tax payers billions of dollars is a winning argument? Really? No wonder he has switched to now making not so vale threats to the SCOTUS.

Think this is not a hot button issue for the 2012 election that is simmering beneath the surface? “We the People” are getting sick and tired of Obama picking “winners and losers”, mainly losers with our money.

Another White House Document Dump Shows the Obama White House Was “All Hands on Deck” in Reaction to Solyndra’s Imminent Collapse

How come President Barack Obama does not take the same credit for his involvement in Solyndra as he falsely tries to now do for the Keystone XL Pipeline?

The Barack Obama Administration gave millions to Solyndra in wasted tax payer stimulus money and touted it as their “shining green energy company on the hill”. Now Obama and his minions cannot run fast enough away from the bankrupt solar energy panel.  Just a couple of days ago, Obama said that Solyndra “was not our program per se.” Obama actually blamed Congress for its failure.  Dear Mr. President, you can run but you cannot hide. This scandal is going to follow you to election day. Barack  Obama can not run from the truth even if they attempt to continue Friday night document dumps when they think no one is looking.

The latest document dump as reported by The Hill shows that the Obama White House was all-hands-on-deck as the Solyndra collapse neared. Obama and his minions knew how deep they were in the Solyndra mess and also knew this was a political mess for Obama.

Several key White House offices were involved with the Obama administration’s messaging plans and other preparations as the collapse of the taxpayer-backed solar company Solyndra was imminent, newly released documents show.

The latest White House documents delivered to House Republicans on Friday again highlight the extent to which senior administration officials braced for the fallout as Solyndra – a company President Obama had personally visited – was about to go under.

A White House memo that noted the danger of “imminent bankruptcy” at the end of August 2011 says, “OMB, DPC and NEC have been working with press and OLA to be prepared for this news to break.”

Just curious, why would the Obama White House be so concerned and be in panic mode about Solyndra going belly up if  as Doug Powers opines at Michelle Malkin.com, “the bad news from a program that wasn’t theirs… per se.”  Touché!!! The PJ Tatler asks the same question that has become obvious to all, “Why Was His Administration in Fire Drill Mode as it Collapsed? Instead, Obama shamefully blamed Congress for Solyndra’s failure and tried to distance himself from his hand picked green company. It is obvious that Solyndra was nothing about job creation, it was politics that dominated Obama’s green energy program, not job creation. The voters might want to remember in November.

Obamanomics & Green Energy: US Taxpayers Pay Solar Firm ‘First Solar’ to Sell Solar Panels to Itself

As gas prices continue to skyrocket out of control, President Obama heads out to shill for his failed “green” energy agenda.  Take a good look at the shell game that is being played at the expense of ‘We the People”.

Obamanomics … You just can’t make this stuff up. Thanks to Barack Obama and his ‘green” energy agenda, American tax payers actually subsidized First Solar, a solar company that received a US taxpayer loan guarantee to sell solar panels. The problem, the company sold the solar panels to itself. UNREAL!

Every wonder why our economy is in disarray under Obama? Barack Obama and his minions are actually trying to make solar energy appear more viable than it really is. Welcome to the Obama green energy shell game where the buyer and seller are the same individual.

A heavily subsidized solar company received a U.S. taxpayer loan guarantee to sell solar panels to itself.

First Solar is the company. The subsidy came from the Export-Import Bank, which President Obama and Harry Reid are currently fighting to extend and expand. The underlying issue is how Obama’s insistence on green-energy subsidies and export subsidies manifests itself as rank corporate welfare.

Here’s the road of subsidies these solar panels followed from Perrysburg, Ohio, to St. Clair, Ontario.

First Solar is an Arizona-based manufacturer of solar panels. In 2010, the Obama administration awarded the company $16.3 million to expand its factory in Ohio — a subsidy Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland touted in his failed re-election bid that year.

Connect the dots of Obama’s solar energy corporate welfare … This reminds me of a ‘Married With Children’ episode where Peg was selling cosmetics and making a commission from the sales. The only problem was she was taking Al’s money to pay for the product. At least Peg Bundy was not using American tax payer dollars to claim she made a profit.

After First Solar pocketed this $17.3 million in government grants and $15 million in government loans, Ex-Im entered the scene.

In September 2011, Ex-Im approved $455.7 million in loan guarantees to subsidize the sale of solar panels to two solar farms in Canada. That means if the solar farm ever defaults, the taxpayers pick up the tab, ensuring First Solar gets paid.

But the buyer, in this case, was First Solar.

Gallup Says Unemployment is Over 9% for February 2012 … Official Number Out on Friday Morning

Just ahead of the Bureau of Labor Statistics this morning with the official unemployment report for the month of February, Gallup says that the actual unemployment rate is at 9.1%. Much like Doug Powers at Michelle Malkin.com, I believe that the unemployment rate will increase from 8.3%. Of course Obama and his minions will spin this as a positive. So what will the actual unemployment number be that is reported? Tune in at 8:30am on Friday morning.

ADP report predicts 216,000 new jobs:

Employment in the U.S. nonfarm private business sector increased by 216,000 from January to
February on a seasonally adjusted basis. The estimated advance in employment from December
to January was revised slightly upwards to 173,000 from the initially reported 170,000.
Employment in the private, service-providing sector rose 170,000 in February, and employment
in the private, goods-producing sector increased 46,000 in February. Manufacturing
employment increased 21,000.

UPDATE I: Unemployment rate at 8.3% for February 2012 … does any one really believe this manipulated number? The Jobs recession Now 49 Months: Longest Since WWII.  Just curious, what would happen if we cut off all unemployment benefits for those presently receiving them and forced all to enter the active jobs market and seek jobs … how high do you think the unemployment rate would be?
