U.S. Economy Ddded 261,000 Jobs in October & Unemployment Rate at 4.1% (Update: Adjusted 92,000 Jobs Added in Aug & Sep)

PUTTING AMERICA BACK TO WORK AGAIN …

More strong jobs numbers have been reported for October 2017 as 261,000 jobs were added. Compare the job growth with what was going on in 2016. Add this to the GDP at 3% and we have an economy finally headed in the right direction.

Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 261,000 in October, and the unemployment rate edged down to 4.1 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Employment in food services and drinking places increased sharply, mostly offsetting a decline in September that largely reflected the impact of Hurricanes Irma and Harvey. In October, job gains also occurred in professional and business services, manufacturing, and health care.

The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons (sometimes referred to as involuntary part-time workers) declined by 369,000 to 4.8 million in October. These individuals, who would have preferred full-time employment, were working part time because their hours had been cut back or because they were unable to find full time jobs. Over the past 12 months, the number of involuntary part-time workers has decreased by 1.1 million.

U.S. economy adds 261,000 jobs in October from CNBC.

CNBC:

The U.S. economy added 261,000 jobs in October and the unemployment rate was 4.1 percent as labor conditions returned to normal following the storm-weakened September.

However, the number was considerably below Wall Street expectations of 310,000. The tick lower in the unemployment rate came against expectations it would hold steady at 4.2 percent.

In addition to the October growth, an initially reported decline of 33,000 for September was revised up to 18,000. August’s count also was revised up from 169,000 to 208,000.

Indeed, the biggest gain in employment came from the hospitality industry, with jobs at food and drinking establishments up by 89,000, reflecting a storm-related rebound. Professional and business services contributed 50,000 to the total while manufacturing added 24,000 and health care increased by 22,000.

In all, employment in the manufacturing sector has increased by 156,000 since President Donald Trump’s election in November 2016. Trump has made blue-collar growth a priority of his economic agenda.

Presidential Executive Order Promoting Healthcare Choice and Competition Across the United States

IF CONGRESS CAN’T HELP HEALTHCARE, PRESIDENT TRUMP WILL …

Following the colossal failure of of establishment Republicans in the U.S Senate and the lack of any effort by Democrats in either House, President Donald Trump signed an executive order yesterday as the first step in helping the American people with regards to healthcare insurance and hopefully ridding us of the terrible and unaffordable “Affordable Healthcare Act, known as Obamacare. It is about time thee types of provisions were allowed to take place. This should have been done by Congress instead of the creation of Obamacare and the government take over of insurance. Allowing individuals to cross state line to purchase insurance is a no-brainer. Trump’s order will allow agencies to expand the ability of small businesses and other groups to band together to buy health insurance through what are known as association health plans.

President Trunp’s Executive Order on healthcare:

PROMOTING HEALTHCARE CHOICE AND COMPETITION ACROSS THE UNITED STATES

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered as follows:

Section 1. Policy. (a) It shall be the policy of the executive branch, to the extent consistent with law, to facilitate the purchase of insurance across State lines and the development and operation of a healthcare system that provides high-quality care at affordable prices for the American people. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), however, has severely limited the choice of healthcare options available to many Americans and has produced large premium increases in many State individual markets for health insurance. The average exchange premium in the 39 States that are using www.healthcare.gov in 2017 is more than double the average overall individual market premium recorded in 2013. The PPACA has also largely failed to provide meaningful choice or competition between insurers, resulting in one-third of America’s counties having only one insurer offering coverage on their applicable government-run exchange in 2017.

Sec. 2. Expanded Access to Association Health Plans. Within 60 days of the date of this order, the Secretary of Labor shall consider proposing regulations or revising guidance, consistent with law, to expand access to health coverage by allowing more employers to form AHPs. To the extent permitted by law and supported by sound policy, the Secretary should consider expanding the conditions that satisfy the commonality?of-interest requirements under current Department of Labor advisory opinions interpreting the definition of an “employer” under section 3(5) of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. The Secretary of Labor should also consider ways to promote AHP formation on the basis of common geography or industry. (read more)

Even Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), who has been a critic of previous GOP healthcare legislation to repeal and replace, is defending President Trump’s actions. One has to wonder why things like this were not passed by the GOP led House and Senate?

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) defended President Trump’s use of an executive order on Thursday, after Republicans previously criticized former President Obama for overusing the tool to bypass Congress.

“We’re creating something that is freedom. He’s not creating a new government program,” Paul told CNN’s Jake Tapper.

“We’ve read the original law and we believe what the president did today is basically an interpretation of the original law, and doesn’t create new territory,” he continued.

Trump’s order will allow agencies to expand the ability of small businesses and other groups to band together to buy health insurance through what are known as association health plans.

Paul said Trump was “legalizing the ability for individuals to join a group to get better purchasing power.”

“There’s no government expense to this, and under the First Amendment there is a clause that says we have the right to peaceably assemble. That has been taken over time to be the right of free association, and it’s also been said by the Supreme Court to actually say that we can join together for economic purposes. So all we’re doing is legalizing the ability for individuals to join a group to get better purchasing power. I think it’s sort of a fundamentally American what we’re advocating,” he said.

Vice President Mike Pence Leaves Colts-49ers Game after NFL Players Kneel During National Anthem

HEY LEFT AND AMERICA HATERS, THE VP HAS FREEDOM OF SPEECH RIGHTS ALSO

Yesterday, Vice President Mike Pence walked out of the Indianapolis Colts – San Francisco 49er’s NFL game when members of the 49ers team knelt during the playing of the American national anthem. Pence tweeted, “I left today’s Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.” This is a position that an overwhelming majority of Americans and even more NFL fans agree with as well. Of course the liberal MSM, all they can say is that this was pre-planned. Really, it was planned, that is all you got? Mike Pence was the former governor of Indiana and was scheduled to be there long in advance for Peyton Manning and his ceremony. If 49er players acted a fool and knelt for the anthem, of course Pence had every right to leave. Guess what, if the 49er players decided to respect the Flag and the Country, Pence would have stayed.

Vice President Mike Pence walked out on his home-state Indianapolis Colts Sunday when members of the opposing team kneeled for the national anthem, but a report that Colin Kaepernick, the player who started it all, will stand if given another shot in the NFL was quickly dialed back.

“I left today’s Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem,” Pence tweeted.

Several San Francisco 49ers players kneeled for the anthem on Sunday in Indianapolis.

Pence later posted a statement which read “I left today’s Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem. At a time when so many Americans are inspiring our nation with their courage, resolve, and resilience, now, more than ever, we should rally around our Flag and everything that unites us.”

Hw brave of the MSM, they interview 49er fans as to their reaction. How comical.

Later, President Donald Trump later tweeted, “I asked @VP Pence to leave stadium if any players kneeled, disrespecting our country. I am proud of him and @SecondLady Karen.”

A note to the moron 49er player Ed Reid who stated, this is what systemic oppression looks like. Grow up you fool. No you frigging idiot, this is what freedom of speech looks like. To the ignorant Reid, it looks like a PR stunt? Really? One might say your kneeling is a PR stunt, hmm? What the ignoramus Reid and the NFL is about to learn in a real way is that Americans have free speech rights too and that is they can walk out on the players and the NFL. For every action, there is a reaction.

Ed Reid and your ilk, you foolish and misguided, entitled players are not the only ones that are afforded Freedom of Speech. We have the right to boycott you and the NFL and we will.

President Donald Trump’s Amazing Speech at the UN (VIDEO) … “The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies”

THE DAYS OF U.S. PRESIDENTS APOLOGIZING FOR AMERICA ARE OVER, THERE IS A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN AND HIS NAME IS TRUMP

President Donald Trump went to the United Nations and showed the world what a strong American leader looks like. Gone are the eight years of apologies under Obama, welcome to the new vision of the United States, embracing the land of the free and the home of the brave. This was an eloquent and masterful speech that has the LEFT and the MSM reeling.  President Trump stated, “We do not expect diverse countries to share the same cultures, traditions, or even systems of government. But we do expect all nations to uphold these two core sovereign duties: to respect the interests of their own people and the rights of every other sovereign nation. This is the beautiful vision of this institution, and this is foundation for cooperation and success.” And at the same time, Trump put Iran and the “rocket man” on notice, “The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea”.

The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea. Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime. The United States is ready, willing and able, but hopefully this will not be necessary. That’s what the United Nations is all about; that’s what the United Nations is for. Let’s see how they do.

The Full transcript can be Read HERE.

Strong, sovereign nations let their people take ownership of the future and control their own destiny. And strong, sovereign nations allow individuals to flourish in the fullness of the life intended by God.

In America, we do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example for everyone to watch. This week gives our country a special reason to take pride in that example. We are celebrating the 230th anniversary of our beloved Constitution — the oldest constitution still in use in the world today.

This timeless document has been the foundation of peace, prosperity, and freedom for the Americans and for countless millions around the globe whose own countries have found inspiration in its respect for human nature, human dignity, and the rule of law.

The greatest in the United States Constitution is its first three beautiful words. They are: “We the people.”

Generations of Americans have sacrificed to maintain the promise of those words, the promise of our country, and of our great history. In America, the people govern, the people rule, and the people are sovereign. I was elected not to take power, but to give power to the American people, where it belongs.

In foreign affairs, we are renewing this founding principle of sovereignty. Our government’s first duty is to its people, to our citizens — to serve their needs, to ensure their safety, to preserve their rights, and to defend their values.

As President of the United States, I will always put America first, just like you, as the leaders of your countries will always, and should always, put your countries first. (Applause.)

All responsible leaders have an obligation to serve their own citizens, and the nation-state remains the best vehicle for elevating the human condition.

But making a better life for our people also requires us to work together in close harmony and unity to create a more safe and peaceful future for all people.

The United States will forever be a great friend to the world, and especially to its allies. But we can no longer be taken advantage of, or enter into a one-sided deal where the United States gets nothing in return. As long as I hold this office, I will defend America’s interests above all else.

But in fulfilling our obligations to our own nations, we also realize that it’s in everyone’s interest to seek a future where all nations can be sovereign, prosperous, and secure.

America does more than speak for the values expressed in the United Nations Charter. Our citizens have paid the ultimate price to defend our freedom and the freedom of many nations represented in this great hall. America’s devotion is measured on the battlefields where our young men and women have fought and sacrificed alongside of our allies, from the beaches of Europe to the deserts of the Middle East to the jungles of Asia.

It is an eternal credit to the American character that even after we and our allies emerged victorious from the bloodiest war in history, we did not seek territorial expansion, or attempt to oppose and impose our way of life on others. Instead, we helped build institutions such as this one to defend the sovereignty, security, and prosperity for all.

For the diverse nations of the world, this is our hope. We want harmony and friendship, not conflict and strife. We are guided by outcomes, not ideology. We have a policy of principled realism, rooted in shared goals, interests, and values.

Pence was serving his first term in Congress when terrorists hijacked four planes on 9/11 and carried out attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. He was at the U.S. Capitol that day, which officials suspect was the target of the fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93.

“The American people will forever be inspired by their courage and resolve,” he said. “We honor them by remembering them… and by doing everything in our power as a nation to prevent such evil from ever reaching our shores again.”
