Georgia’s 6th District Race Heads to Runoff … Democrat Jon Ossoff vs. Republican Karen Handel
DEMOCRATS, HOLLYWOOD AND THE LEFT POWER ELITE SPENT ALL KINDS OF OUTSIDE MONEY AND STILL COULD NOT WIN THE SPECIAL ELECTION …
Last night’s Georgia’s 6th District special election was touted as a referendum on President Donald trump and Democrats thought for sure they had this one. However, at the end of the evening Georgia’s 6th District special election would be heading toward a runoff. It will be Democrat Jon Ossoff vs. Republican Karen Handel. Much like the night of the presidential election with Hillary Clinton, Democrats thought they could win this one with 30 year old Jon Ossoff against a mass of other opponents. They hoped to take advantage of the special election and take a GOP House seat. They did not. Now that the race is headed to a one on one run-off election with a formidable candidate like Karen Handel, this seat will most likely remain Republican. Democrats tried to pour in all kinds of outside money to win this seat, including a candidate in Ossoff who does not even live in the district. They failed. What do Democrats do now? The runoff election will take place in June.
Roughly five hours after polling locations closed, major networks began projecting that Georgia’s 6th District special election would be heading toward a runoff on June 20.
That means Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican Karen Handel, the race’s top two vote-getters, will have nine more weeks of expensive and heating campaigning before voters will decide who will replace Tom Price, now Trump’s health secretary, as the representative for Atlanta’s affluent, leafy northern suburbs in the House.
Ossoff, a 30-year-old documentary film maker and political novice, told his supporters late Tuesday that a runoff “shattered expectations.” “We will be ready to fight on and win in June if it is necessary,” he said.
Earlier Tuesday evening, former Secretary of State Karen Handel vowed “start the campaign anew” on Wednesday, as her onetime Republican opponents began to coalesce around her. “Beating Ossoff and holding this seat is something that rises above any one person,” she told supporters.
Democrats begin to wonder: When do we win?
For all the roiling anger and energy at the grassroots, the party still fell short in Georgia and Kansas. And Democratic prospects in upcoming elections aren’t promising.
For all the anger, energy, and money swirling at the grassroots level, Democrats didn’t manage to pick off the first two Republican-held congressional seats they contended for in the Trump era, and the prospects aren’t markedly better in the next few House races coming up: the Montana race at the end of May, and the South Carolina contest on June 20.
Their best shot at knocking Donald Trump down a peg appears to be Ossoff’s runoff against Republican Karen Handel, also scheduled for June 20. But the Democrat will be an underdog in that contest, when there won’t be a crowded field of Republicans to splinter the vote.
After that, it’ll be another five months before the New Jersey and Virginia elections for governor, leaving some strategists and lawmakers wondering how to keep the furious rank-and-file voters engaged in fueling and funding the party’s comeback — especially given the sky-high expectations that surrounded Ossoff’s ultimately unsuccessful run at the 50-percent threshold that was necessary to win the seat outright.
Trump claims credit as Georgia congressional election heads to runoff.
In many respects, why shouldn’t President Donal trump claim some credit for this? If Democrat Ossoff had won the MSM would have pronounced the Trump presidency over before it has even begun. If we are to take the opposite of what the LEFT and the MSM were spewing prior to this if the Democrat had won, then this is a huge victory for Trump. However, it is also a wake-up call to the GOP that nothing is for certain and they need to get their act in gear, do what they said they were going to do or … their base will not come out in off year elections.

VP Pence Says at the DMZ: “Era of Strategic Patience is Over” with North Korea (VIDEO)
WHAT NEXT WITH NORTH KOREA …
Vice President Pence, in the midst of a 10-day Asia trip, made an unannounced visit to the DMZ zone between North and South Korea as tensions between the U.S. and North Korea escalate. For too many years North Korea and their dictators have been allowed to get away with far too much and increase their nuclear capabilities. There is a new sheriff in town and a much different attitude in how to deal with North Korea. The VP stated with regards to North Korea, “the era of strategic patience is over.”
He said the relationship with South Korea is “ironclad and immutable” and reiterated the “resolve of the people of the United States and the President of the United States” to achieve security “through peaceable means, through negotiations.
“But all options are on the table as we continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of South Korea for denuclearization of this peninsula and for the long term prosperity and freedom of the people of South Korea,” he added.
He said he was hopes China would help solve the problem, adding, “we look for them to do more.”
“The message of the people of the United States of America is that we seek peace, but America has always sought peace through strength.”
Asked for a message to the people of North Korea, Pence said:
“The people of North Korea, the military of North Korea should not mistake the resolve of the United States of America to stand with our allies. The alliance between South Korea and the United States is ironclad.”
The vice president added that “the era of strategic patience is over.”

US Drops MOAB, Mother of All Bombs, on ISIS in Afghanistan (VIDEO)
TRUMP ADMINISTRATION DROPS MOTHER OF ALL BOMBS ON ISIS … NOW THIS IS A WAR ON TERROR!!!
As reported at FOX News, the U.S. military dropped its largest non-nuclear bomb on an ISIS tunnel complex in eastern Afghanistan on Thursday. The MOAB, a 30 feet long and 22,000 pounds Massive Ordinance Air Blast, or otherwise known as the “Mother of all Bombs” was let off the chain and deployed in the Nangarhar Province close to the Afghanistan/Pakistan border. During the presidential campaign, Donald Trump promised to “bomb the sh*t” out of ISIS. Looks like another promise kept and a sign to the world that the United States has a new sheriff in town.
Why does this so remind me of the scene from the movie Iron Man I where Tony Stark is doing Jericho Missile Test. Stark says, “is it better to be feared or respected?” He follows up by saying, “Is it asking to much for both?” Stark goes on to say, “They say, the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I, respectfully disagree. I prefer the one you only have to fire once … For your consideration, The Jericho Mother of all Bombs!”
Yup, that’s how America and a strong President Does It!
The U.S. military dropped its largest non-nuclear bomb on an ISIS tunnel complex in eastern Afghanistan on Thursday, a U.S. defense official confirmed to Fox News.
The GBU-43B, a 21,000-pound conventional bomb, was deployed in Nangarhar Province close to the Afghanistan/Pakistan border. By comparison, each Tomahawk cruise missile launched at a Syrian military air base last week weighed 1,000 pounds each.

The Massive Ordinance Air Blast was first tested in 2003. (DOD)
The MOAB — Massive Ordnance Air Blast — is also known as the “Mother Of All Bombs.” It was first tested in 2003, but hadn’t been used in combat before Thursday.
Pentagon spokesman Adam Stump said the bomb had been brought to Afghanistan “some time ago” for potential use. The bomb explodes in the air, creating air pressure that can make tunnels and other structures collapse. It can be used at the start of an offensive to soften up the enemy, weakening both its infrastructure and morale.
UPDATE I: 36 ISIS fighters killed by US ‘mother of all bombs’:
Just a helpful hint to the liberal media and the LEFT, this bomb was used to more than just eradicate IRIS, it shows just what the US in now willing to do against threats to the United States.

Socialist Bernie Sanders Says Donald Trump will be a One-Term President … REALLY?
MIGHTY BIG TALK FROM A NO TERM PRESIDENT …
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (S) said on Wednesday that he doesn’t believe President Donald Trump will win a second term as president. Really? Aren’t these the same people that said Donald Trump would never be elected? Also Bernie, its not like you will ever be elected president. Let’s get one thing straight folks, Bernie Sanders is not an Independent. Sanders is a socialist who ran on the Democrat ticket and nearly defeated Hillary Clinton to be the nominee for president of the Democrat Party. Don’t think the American people, and especially real independents, don’t see the fact that Democrats have obstructed the Trump administration at every turn and see thee liberal MSM playing their typical bias games and reporting. Sanders stated, “In terms of the first three months in office, Donald Trump is the least popular president in the history of polling.” Hmm, just a reminder to Sanders and the LEFT, wasn’t the polling wrong prior to Trump being elected president?
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (I) on Wednesday said he doesn’t believe President Trump will win a second term as president.
“In terms of the first three months in office, Donald Trump is the least popular president in the history of polling,” Sanders told The Associated Press while speaking in New York. “I do not believe that if Trump continues these policies that he’s going to be reelected. Nor do I think that the Republicans are going to do well in 2018.”
Sanders, who is planning to launch a cross-country tour with Democratic National Committee chair Tom Perez next week, said a more progressive movement is underway that will hurt Republicans’ electoral chances.
“The momentum right now is with the progressive movement in this country,” Sanders said. “And I think the Republicans are on the defensive and will be on the defensive increasingly.”
Sanders pointed to Tuesday’s special election in Kansas, in which the Republican candidate narrowly won the House seat vacated by now-CIA Director Mike Pompeo in a deep-red district that Trump won overwhelmingly.
Keep up your games liberals and once again you will find yourself in another losing election. You still do not understand the connection between Donald Trump and the voters. Frankly, it is kind of comical to see the LEFT acting in the same manner and thinking they will get different results. Wait, isn’t that the definition of crazy?
FBI Monitored Former Trump Campaign Adviser Carter Page on Russia
FBI MONITORED FORMER TRUMP CAMPAIGN ADVISOR …
Via CNN.
The revelation confirms for the first time that a federal surveillance warrant, known as a FISA warrant, was issued for a member of the Trump campaign as part of a federal investigation of potential ties between the Republican’s associates and the Russian government. Hmm, so now we do know that the Obama admin did in fact call for surveillance on Trump campaign team members, contrary to the denials.
The FBI obtained a warrant to monitor President Donald Trump’s former campaign adviser, Carter Page, last summer on suspicions he knowingly engaged in clandestine intelligence activities on behalf of Moscow, The Washington Post is reporting.
The FBI and Justice Department obtained a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant to monitor the communications of Page, who has called himself a junior member of Trump’s foreign policy advisory team, as part of their investigation into possible ties between Trump’s campaign and Russia, the newspaper says, citing unnamed law enforcement and other US officials.
The FBI and Justice Department obtained the warrant after convincing a FISA judge there was probable cause to believe Page was acting as an agent of a foreign government (Russia), the report says. The warrant presents the strongest information to date that the FBI had reason to believe a Trump adviser was in touch with Moscow and met with foreign operatives during Trump’s presidential campaign.
FBI Director James Comey has acknowledged that an investigation was opened last year into Russia’s efforts to influence the election and the question of whether the Trump campaign coordinated with the Kremlin. But Comey stopped short of naming anyone working for the campaign who may have been involved.
CNN is working to confirm The Washington Post’s story.
Page, however, called the FISA warrant “unjustified” in a statement to CNN’s Manu Raju.
So what was this really? I tend to go along with Hot Air’s premise that this was a back door method of surveiling Trump’s campaign team. If there had been anything, and I mean anything, wouldn’t we know at this point and a crime would have been charged? What we now know is that the Obana administration did surveil Trump’s campaign.
Actually, that’s not quite true. It’s evidence that the Department of Justice sought to surveil Trump campaign figures using intel resources, but not necessarily that they had real evidence and/or a legitimate “reason to believe” that Trump campaign officials were in touch with Russian agents. It’s extremely easy for the government to get approvals for FISA warrants, as we have discovered in the debates over renewals of Section 702 of the PATRIOT Act. That’s actually the crux of the issue: did certain Trump campaign officials knowingly collude with Russian intelligence — or did the Obama administration spy on political rivals in order to impact the election outcome? Both? Neither?
