Diario: Gerold Dompig Provides his two cents: DOMPIG IS CONVINCED THAT THE NATALEE CASE WILL HAVE A SOLUTION
Many were under the impression that Gerold Dompig was no longer on the force. Guess not. Dompig is convinced that the disappearance of Natalee Holloway will have a solution. Maybe with the KLPG taking over it will.
From Diario, 9/22/06: Aunke e por tarda un poco mas ainda: COMISARIO DOMPIG TA CONVENCI CU E CASO DI NATALEE LO HAYA SU SOLUCION
Although it can take a little longer: COMMISSARY DOMPIG IS CONVINCED THAT THE NATALEE CASE WILL HAVE A SOLUTION ORANJESTAD(AAN)
As everyone knows, when the young Natalee disappeared, a team of investigators was formed to handle the case and it was headed by Gerald Dompig, but then, in a surprise move, the Government decided to give the case over to Holland.

Looks Like Joran Van der Sloot is not the only one downloading … Houston (Aruba), we have a problem
This is hardly the way a library should be used. The following is a translated article from Diario where teens and pre-teens were using library computers to download porn. Some problems that we see in Aruba are starting at a rather young age. Guess this is Pimps in training or PIMPS 101. According to sources, the Director of the School at St Nicholas we very disappointed. The English translation to follow:
STUDENT MADE USE OF THE INTERNET AT THE LIBRARY TO OPEN A PORNO WEBSITE
ORANJESTAD (AAN) DIARIO received the invitation of a school director in St. Nicholas, who told the paper about certain negative development that took place last week, in which some students at his school between the ages of 11 and 13 are involved. He wants to alert parents so that they can be more attentive as to what their kids do, when they tell them that they are going to the library to go on the Internet for a school project.

Diario Editorial: Natalee’s Case Is Raising Its Head Again! (Aruba: Why not Sue the three Suspects)
Last night Jossy Mansur was interviewed on C-Band Talk radio by Dana Pretzer. Jossy gave his opinions and the mood of Aruba as to the aftermath of the Natalee Holloway civil case being dismissed in NYC and whether the family of Natalee Holloway had a “snowballs chance in Aruba” of ever being dealt with fairly.
This morning Jossy Mansur has a great editorial in Diario, entitled … Natalee’s Case Is Raising Its Head Again!
Diario: Editorial E CASO DI NATALEE LANTANDO CABEZ ATROBE!Â
The completely unequal sums again fired up emotions that in Aruba there is a justice of class; that if you are a Dutch person born in the Netherlands, all doors are open to you, but if you are a Dutch born in Aruba or in whichever other island, doors are hermetically sealed in the passageways of justice! Fair or not, those thoughts are still alive, instead of disappearing together with the colonial era that is behind us.
Jossy Mansur brings up some very compelling facts that Joran Van der Sloot stated during his interrogations. Ones that clearly show that it is hard to believe that they came from a boy who lied because he was scared.
In an interesting twist, Jossy Mansur brings up unique questions and poses in to the Aruba Government … why don’t you file a case against the three suspects and Paulus van der Sloot for all the damage that they caused Aruba?

Natalee Holloway Investigation, One Year Ago Today. aka, What ever happened to the evidence?
Was it incompetence or an intentional cover up by the police in the investigation of the disappearance of Natalle Holloway? We can look back on the events that took place one year ago today and ask ourselves that very questions. In hindsight one wonders, what if anything did the ALE do or send to Holland to be tested. What did they really find at Turtle Bay? Do they even still have it?

Diario: Geoffrey van Cromvoirt evaluating whether he will sue for damages for prejudice
Diario; May 9, 2006: GEOFFREY VAN CROMVOIRT TA EVALUA SI E TA BAY ENTAMA CASO DI DAÃ’O Y PERHUICIO
Now Geoffrey van Cromvoirt is contemplating suing the Aruban government for being considered a suspect. Looks like it is dà ©jà vu all over again. Looks like individuals have a better shot of making money in Aruba by suing the Aruban government for false imprisonment than they do at the casinos.
“Geoffrey’s detention caused a lot of harm to our family. My wife is very much in despair”. This, according to Geoffrey’s father, Willem van Cromvoirt. Officially, the Dutch youth is still a suspect in this case, but the father hopes that the case will be dismissed.
Now, family lawyers are evaluating the possibility of bringing a case for damages for prejudice.
Seems like quite the legal system. Detain an individual under the rules of Dutch/Aruban legal system and then have the suspect sue for damages. Just how is one supposed to investigate a crime in Aruba? It would appear that detaining an individual is part of the investigation and questioning process by law. GVC was not detained any further beyond the initial arrest as was Joran Van der Sloot and the Kalpoes, so where is the problem? If GVC was detained due to a tip that someone called in then for once the ALE actually did their job and followed up immediately. For that they are sued? We have learned over the past 11 months, any thing is possible in Aruba.
Geoffrey van Cromvoirt evaluating whether he will sue for damages for prejudice
AMSTERDAM – Geoffrey van Cromvoirt, in an interview with SBS 6 Actienieuws of Holland, said that he doesn’t have anything to do with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.
The young Dutch 19 year old came into the picture after the ‘Opsporing Verzocht’ program, which was recorded in Aruba, aired.
He could have seemed to be another person in the case. Ironically, van Cromvoirt had wanted to participate in the reenactment of the case along with his sister. “I’ve always wanted to appear on television, but not in this way”. The Dutch youth was asked via telephone to go to the police station one week after ‘Opsporing Verzocht’ aired.
When he went to the police station, he was detained immediately. The accusations were rape and murder.
