If you ever want to know why Democrats lost the 2016 elections one has to look no further than how they have handled themselves following the election. Yesterday, in a closed door vote, House Democratic minority leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) held off a challenge to her long leadership reign, defeating Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) 134 votes to 63. After Democrats got hammered in the 2016 elections seeing them lose the White House to Donald Trump, continue to be in the minority in the House and Senate, lose governorship’s and state house elections, the party that refuses to listen to the people opted to keep Pelosi and her top lieutenants, Reps. Steny Hoyer (MD) and Jim Clyburn (SC). This is just remarkable. The Democrat party is no longer the party of the middle class and blue collar people, its the party of the power elite who are so far out of touch with the American people. Democrats in Washington appear to like the swamp and just voted back in the establishment just after a referendum election against the establishment. Just how clueless is the Democrat party, the GOP is certainly rejoicing.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday fended off a challenge to her long leadership reign, defeating Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) in a closed-door vote prompted largely by Donald Trump’s unlikely ascension to the White House.

Pelosi got 134 votes to Ryan’s 63 — winning 68 percent of the votes after declaring before the election that she had the support of two-thirds of the caucus. The victory sends a message that while there’s a growing appetite for major changes in the party’s leadership structure and messaging tactics, it’s not strong enough to loosen Pelosi’s grip on a liberal-heavy group that’s rarely challenged her authority.

Ryan and his supporters had argued that the Democrats’ grim performance in this year’s elections — the latest in a string of cycles planting Republicans firmly in the majority — was a clear signal that Pelosi’s leadership strategy has failed to attract the broad coalition of voters required to return the Speaker’s gavel to the Democrats’ hands.

The critics pointed, in particular, to the party’s alienation of the middle-class Rust Belt workers, who flocked to Trump and secured victories for a long list of vulnerable Republicans down the ballot. Ryan, who represents an Ohio manufacturing district that’s struggled to keep pace with globalization and rebound from the Great Recession, said he was the right fit to make inroads with those voters.

Most Democrats disagreed, opting to keep Pelosi and her top lieutenants — Reps. Steny Hoyer (Md.) and Jim Clyburn (S.C.) — in charge of efforts to improve the party’s fortunes heading into the 2018 midterm elections.

BET founder and Democrat Bob Johnson has nothing but words of praise for president-elect Donald Trump. Johnson stated that he did not believe that Trump was anti-African-American or a racist. This is certainly a different narrative than the liberal MSM has been spewing. It is a Democrat parties worst nightmare come true in Trump and Republicans make inroads with black America and the current black, Democrat monolithic vote is no more. Bob Johnson said he was offered a cabinet position, but turned it down.

“To me, I never thought Donald Trump, and I still don’t believe it today, was a racist. I don’t believe that he’s anti-African-American,” said Johnson, founder and chairman of The RLJ Cos. “For too long, the African-American community has been ignored by the Republicans because they thought we were always locked with the Democrats.”

Media mogul Bob Johnson, who met with President-elect Donald Trump earlier this month, told CNBC on Tuesday the post-election rally in the stock market has been a reaction to having a businessman in the White House.

The BET founder, a Democrat, also said on “Squawk Box” that he’s known Trump for years and believes Trump wants to work with African-Americans and all Americans to boost the economy.

“To me, I never thought Donald Trump, and I still don’t believe it today, was a racist. I don’t believe that he’s anti-African-American,” said Johnson, founder and chairman of The RLJ Cos. “For too long, the African-American community has been ignored by the Republicans because they thought we were always locked with the Democrats.”

Trump is not in either camp, Johnson said: “Certainly not an establishment Republican [and] he’s not a Democrat, he was open. And he’s a business guy. And business guys tend to look at where’s the opportunity for a benefit.”

The market is right to be optimistic about the possibility of Trump’s policy proposals kicking U.S. economic growth into a higher gear, said Johnson, who had supported Hillary Clinton during the campaign.

Cuban dictator Fidel Castro has finally died at the age of 90. The hero to the Left and socialists has passed. Cubans in Miami rejoiced upon hearing of the news of the socialist dictators death and danced in the streets. This is more a symbolic death for the people who have fled Cuba as Fidel Castro stepped down some 10+ years ago. Cuba is still run by a dictator, maybe some day a U.S. President will make a real deal with Cuba that is good for the U.S. and Cuban people. Make no mistake about it, this man mercilessly killed and jailed his political enemies.

On a personal note, having known so many Cuban-Americans who’s parents had fled Castro’s tyranny and some who while trying to have their families escapade where captured and imprisoned, I can only imagine the feelings they are experiencing what they are going through.

America got tired of anyone who doesn’t agree with Democrats being called a racist, sexist, anti-gay, anti-anything, and oh yes, a Nazi. This is right out of the Democrat playbook. How do we know? Why Wikileaks of course. In an interview Bannon stated, “I’m an economic nationalist. I am an America first guy.”For some reason Democrats like Dean have an issue with a White House administration putting America first. That could be another reason why Dems lost in 2016.

“It’s a big word and I don’t usually use it unless somebody’s really anti-Semitic, really misogynistic, really anti-Black,” Dean continued, adding that Trump is “a complicated guy.”

Bannon, a former executive chair of alt-right Breitbart News, was appointed by the President-elect to serve as chief strategist, making him one of the most powerful people entering the White House with Trump come January. The position does not requite Senate approval.
