Former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo Dead at Age 82

Former Empire state governor Mario Cuomo dead at 82 …

Mario Cuomo, the former governor of New York from 1983 through 1994 has passed away at the age of 82 from heart failure. Cuomo passed away at 5:15 pm of heart failure, surrounded by family in his Manhattan apartment as his son, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, was in Buffalo delivering his second inaugural address of the day. Mario Cuomo was most known for his July 1984 keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention where he offered a rebuttal of President Ronald Reagan’s vision of America as a “shining city on a hill.” They have been spewing division for quite some time.

Former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo, the liberal son of Italian immigrants and a gifted orator whose talents brought him national stature, died Thursday. He was 82.

Cuomo died in New York of natural causes due to heart failure shortly after his eldest son, Andrew, was sworn in for a second term as New York governor, the office his father had previously held for eleven years. The elder Cuomo had been hospitalized in November for a heart condition, the day after his son won re-election.

“He is in the heart and mind of every person who is here,” Andrew Cuomo said in his inaugural address Thursday. “He is here and he is here, and his inspiration and his legacy and his experience is what has brought this state to this point. So let’s give him a round of applause.”

In a statement, President Barack Obama called Cuomo “a determined champion of progressive values, and an unflinching voice for tolerance, inclusiveness, fairness, dignity, and opportunity.

NY Daily News – Obit.

Mario Matthew Cuomo was born June 15, 1932, in Queens, the third and final child of immigrants from a small village near Naples, Italy. His parents, Andrea and Immaculata Cuomo, owned a grocery store in South Jamaica during the Depression.

Cuomo became a product of the borough’s Catholic schools and a strong athlete: He excelled in baseball and basketball.

A center fielder, Cuomo signed a contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization when he was 19. He was hitting .244 with one homer in 81 games in the Georgia-Florida League when he was beaned by a fastball. He was blinded for a week and never played professionally again.

He went home and attended St. John’s University and then its law school, where he tied for first in his graduating class. In 1952 he married St. John’s student Matilda Raffa, a union that lasted 62 years until his death.

Bill and Hillary Clinton ‘terribly saddened’ by Cuomo’s death.

Hmm, you mean they don’t consider him a “Mafioso” anymore?

“It was Mario Cuomo’s great gift and our good fortune that he was both a sterling orator and a passionate public servant,” they said. “His life was a blessing.”

74 Year Old Victim Beaten With Ax Handle by Two Masked Men, Defends Self With Gun … Kills 42 Year Old Robert West & 18 Year Old Andrew Graseck Arrested,

HOW MANY TIMES MUST WE SAY IT, DON’T BRING AN AX HANDLE TO A GUN FIGHT …

A 74 year old man was attacked by two men, 42 year old Robert West and 18 year old Andrew Graseck,  with ax handles in West Pike Run Township, Pennsylvania. The incident, an alleged break in, occurred Sunday around 9 p.m. on McGirts Road in West Pike Run Township. After the 74 year old victim was beaten with an ax handle, he opened fire with his gun, killing one and forcing the other suspect to flee the scene. In the end, Robert West was shot and killed and Andrew Graseck  was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, criminal conspiracy and criminal attempt. The district attorney will decide if any other charges will be filed against the victim.

A man in West Pike Run Township, Pennsylvania, opened fire on two masked men who allegedly tried to break into his home on Sunday night. The homeowner killed one of the men and the second suspect was arrested after initially running away, police said.

Police believe the two suspects, identified as 42-year-old Robert West and Andrew Graseck, 18, cut the power to the victim’s home and then knocked on his door. When he went to investigate, one of the suspects attacked him, according to the police report obtained by WPXI-TV.

After reportedly getting bashed over the head with the handle of an ax, the homeowner fired several shots, fatally striking West. Graseck then retreated to a neighbor’s house and asked the person to dial 911. The 18-year-old was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, criminal conspiracy and criminal attempt.

Brandon West, the son of the deceased 42 year old Robert West, thinks that his father’s killer should be put in jail. Maybe some one should tell this boy, don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time face the consequences of your actions.

“I grew up around him being in the military and a Christian family. My dad has never done anything like this, and for it to end like this kills me,” said West’s son Brandon West.

The homeowner received stitches for a gash on his head, but has since been released from the hospital.

Brandon West said, “That guy should be put in jail. He shot my dad right in the head. I don’t think he deserves to walk. I don’t care if he got that many stitches, I don’t care.”

Graseck was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, criminal conspiracy and criminal attempt.

Investigators said the suspects targeted the victim because of a “business dispute.”

The district attorney will decide if any other charges will be filed.

Upper Darby, PA Police Fatally Shoot 52 Year Old Joseph Pacini after Man Tried to Run Them Over with His Car

Suicide by Cop …

52 year old Joseph A. Pacini of Delaware County, PA,  who had previously posted rambling rants and violent threats against police was shot and killed by officers on Tuesday as they tried to arrest him in Drexel Hill. Once again, this is what happens when you resist arrest and try to harm police officers. Your color does not matter, the fact that you are a threat does. When you threaten to kill police and then try to run them over, chances are it will end badly for you. Needless to say, the Upper Darby Police took care of the situation. The suspect, Joseph Pacini, was wanted on charges of making terroristic threats on social media, including YouTube, against police and the FBI.

A 52-year-old Delaware County man who had posted rambling rants and violent threats against police was shot and killed by officers Tuesday as they tried to arrest him in Drexel Hill.

When officers from three departments confronted Joseph A. Pacini of Clifton Heights and ordered him to get out of his car, he instead gunned his Nissan sedan into reverse and struck a police vehicle, according to Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood.

Five officers then opened fire.

“The officers were in fear of their lives and did what they had to do,” Chitwood said. “He threatened to kill police, threatened to kill FBI agents.”

The shooting near the intersection of Garrett Road and Shadeland Avenue erupted as rush hour was beginning in a well-traveled section of Drexel Hill. Stray bullets apparently shattered the front door of a bank branch and hit the window of a medical office, but no one else was injured.

Warning – Language

Wow, watch the above VIDEO … Can you say insane?

Joseph Pacini ranted in his video that he was not going back to prison. Ask and you shall receive. Instead, after trying to run over police officers, he is headed to the morgue. Where is Al Sharpton demanding justice for this unwarranted shooting?

WAR ON THE POLICE: Gun Related Deaths for U.S. Police Officers Rose by 56% in 2014 … Krauthammer: “If There’s A Pattern Here, It’s The War on Police.”

The liberal MSM and race hustlers would like you to believe that cops target black men … the truth is that there is a “War on Police”.

If you believed President Barack Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, NYC Mayor De Blasio, race hustler Al Sharpton and the liberal media, you would think that there is a sudden epidemic of white police officers targeting and killing black men. To listen to these race-baiters, centuries of racism are at the root of this “War on Young Black Men,” with  the recent deaths of Eric Brown in Ferguson, Missouri and Eric Brown in Brooklyn, NY. REALLY? Let’s take a look at the facts and we will see that the facts show that there is a war on the police. In 2014, there was a 56% increase in gun-related deaths of police officers in the United States. Many Americans are only aware of the ambush murders of NYPD officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Lu; however, there there have been so many more. According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, 50 police officers dies in the line of duty in 2014, where 1/3 or 15 officers were shot and killed in ambush style shootings. Sadly, a total of 126 law enforcement officers died in the line of duty in 2014, a 24 percent increase from 2013. God bless their souls and thank you for your service.

Law enforcement funeral

Gun related deaths of U.S. law enforcement officers rose by 56 percent in 2014 compared to the previous year, with about one-third of officers killed in an ambush, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund said on Tuesday.

Across the country, 50 officers were killed by guns in 2014 compared to 32 in 2013, according to the website of the non-profit fund, which aims to increase safety for law enforcement officers.

The most deadly states were California, Texas, New York, Florida and Georgia, the group said.

“Fifteen officers were shot and killed in ambush, more than any other circumstance of fatal shootings in 2014,” the website said.

Charles Krauthammer: “If There’s A Pattern Here, It’s The War on Police. I Don’t See A War on Young Black Men”

Real Clear Politics:

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: Jason [Riley] is right. The narrative about it’s open season on young black men and police are responsible is preposterous. Let’s take the most egregious case. The one where I think there was a miscarriage of justice with the grand jury in Staten Island in the Garner case. There is not a shred of evidence that race had had anything to do with that event. Even in Ferguson here was a guy who essentially assaulted a police officer, tried to get his gun. There was no evidence that he was acting because of racial motives.

I’ll tell you if there is a narrative here, if there is a pattern, it’s what’s happening on the streets in regard to police. Let me give you just a run down. Same day as the shooting in New York, St. Louis off-duty cop shot at. December 21, Tarpon Springs, Florida, police officer shot at, run over by a car. Killed. Christmas Day, Durham [NC], police officer shot at. December 27th, Flagstaff [AZ], police officer shot and on the street. Yesterday, Dade City, Florida, two officers shot at. Yesterday, L.A., two police officers shot at, on the highway. If there is a pattern here, it’s the war on police. I don’t see a war on young black men.
