Ksenia Quiros, 46 Year Old Mother Of Air Force Academy Cadet Who Died Mysteriously Goes Missing on 4/15/15 in Colorado Springs, CO (Update: Body Found in Cheyenne Canon)

Simply heartbreaking …

Ksenia Quiros, the mother of 21 year old Cadet 1st Class Alexandre Quiros who died mysteriously at the Air Force Academy, went missing on April 15, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. According to her husband,  Ksenia Quiros went missing Wednesday morning and their family’s truck, a 1998 red Dodge Ram, was found at an open space on the southwest side of town.  Ksenia Quiros is described as 44, 5-foot-2, 110 pounds with blue eyes.

Ksenia Quiros

The mother of an Air Force Academy cadet who died under mysterious circumstances has gone missing, according to her husband.

The Air Force Office of Special Investigations is still investigating the death of 21-year-old Cadet 1st Class Alexandre Quiros. He was found injured in a dorm room on campus and later died on April 2. The cause of his death hasn’t been made public but it’s not a criminal investigation.

Now Quiros’ mother, Ksenia Quiros, has disappeared. Her husband told KKTV, the CBS station in Colorado Springs, his wife went missing Wednesday morning. Her family’s truck, a 1998 red Dodge Ram, was found at an open space on the southwest side of town but dogs lost her scent during a search.

UPDATE I: New focus for search for missing mom.

The Colorado Spring Fire Department and other agencies have spent two days searching for the mom of a deceased Air Force Academy cadet, but there is still no sign of her.

At a media briefing Friday afternoon, crews said they are now focusing on the west side of the Stratton Open Space. A witness reported seeing the woman “alive and well” an Arroyo Grande Trail Wednesday.

Multi Mission Aircraft with infrared technology and Civil Air Patrol joined the search Friday. Fire Chief Chris Riley said weather conditions had prevented them from using air crews before then. On Thursday, firefighters, motorcycles, brush trucks and heavy rescue teams were part of the search.

If you know anything about her whereabouts, call Colorado Springs Police at (719) 444-7000.

UPDATE II: Search For Missing Mother Ends In Tragedy After Body Is Found.

On the fourth day of searching for a missing woman, volunteers made a grisly discovery in Cheyenne Canon.

Capt. Steve Oswald with the Colorado Springs Fire Department said it was a member of a citizen search party who spotted a woman’s body in a rugged, steep area not far from the Gold Camp Reservoir.

All indications point to the deceased being Ksenia Quiros, Oswald said, though the official confirmation won’t come until an autopsy is completed.

It was the outcome the community was praying wouldn’t come for a family now twice hit by tragedy, starting with the untimely death of their 19-year-old son. On April 2, Air Force Academy Cadet 1st Class Alexandre Quiros passed away after being found in his dorm room with unspecified injuries. The Air Force Office of Special Investigations is now investigating the cause of death, but say it’s not a criminal investigation.

Veterinarian Kristen Lindsey Fired from Washington Animal Clinic in Brenham, TX After Bragging About Killing Cat with Bow & Arrow On Facebook

WHAT KIND OF SICK BASTARD MUST YOU BE TO DO SUCH A THING … I DON’T CARE WHETHER THIS CAT WAS FERAL OR NOT, WHICH IT TURNED OUT TO BE NOT!!!

Kristen Lindsey, a veterinarian in Brenham, Texas, has been fired from the Washington Animal Clinic after having bragged on social media about killing a cat with a bow and arrow. Dr. Kristen Lindsey, DVM posted a picture on her Facebook page (warning, pic is graphic) of her holding an arrow that is sticking through the head of a dead cat as the post read “My first bow kill, lol. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it’s head! Vet of the year award … Gladly accepted.” This sadistic fool went on to write in the comment section of her post,  “no I did not lose my job. Lol. Psshh. Like someone would get rid of me. I’m awesome!” As it would turn out what was more awesome was the rage from those who read and saw the post as they rang the phone off the hook of the Washington Animal Clinic and crashed their web sight. And I guess Kristen Lindsey isn’t as awesome as she thinks she is, because she was fired.

It turns out that the cat she killed was not a “feral tomcat,” but instead a elderly couples missing 6 year old pet named Tiger. However,  losing her job may be the least of Lindsey’s problems as Austin County Sheriff Jack Brandes said he is investigating possible criminal charges.

4:45 p.m.
Dr. Kristen Lindsey had been with the Washington Animal Clinic for two years. She graduated from Colorado State University.

2:32 p.m.
Washington Animal Clinic received more than 500 phone calls Friday morning before they fired Kristen Lindsey, DVM.

Shortly before Noon, the clinic put duct tape over her name on the sign.

“Our goal now is to go on and try to fix our black eye and hope that people are reasonable and understand that those actions don’t anyway portray what we’re for here at Washington Animal Clinic,” said Dr. Bruce Buenger. “We put our heart and soul into this place.”

Legendary R&B Singer Percy Sledge Dies at Age 74

We have lost another music great …

Legendary R&B singer Percy Sledge has passed away at the age of 74 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Percy Sledge is most known for his 1966 hit, ‘When a Man Loves a Woman,’ that topped the R&B and Billboard pop charts, where  it spent 13 weeks in 1966, peaking at No. 1. Amazingly he never received a dime of song writing or air play royalties for the song.  Although it was reported that the singer had died of natural causes; however, he was in hospice care for cancer. His family released the following statement through his manager, Mark Lyman, Percy Sledge died at his home after a yearlong struggle with cancer. The cause of death was liver failure. Percy was married twice and is survived by his second wife, Rosa Sledge, whom he married in 1980, and his 12 children, two of whom became singers.

One of the best songs ever, ‘When a Man Loves a Woman’

Percy Sledge, the R&B belter whose biggest hit, “When a Man Loves a Woman,” became a cornerstone of soul music, died Tuesday. He was 73.

Sledge died in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, said Stephanie Price of the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office. Sledge died of natural causes, said East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner Dr. William Clark. He had been in hospice care for cancer, Clark added.

In a career that started in the 1960s, Sledge had a number of hits, including “Take Time to Know Her,” “Warm and Tender Love” and “It Tears Me Up” among them.

But his first and biggest hit, “When a Man Loves a Woman,” towered over them all.

NY Times Obit – Single Session Launched Percy Sledge, No. 1 Hit, and a Sound.

Sledge, who died Tuesday, grew up singing in nearby cotton fields of northwest Alabama and never had been in a studio before that day. He didn’t even know how to work a microphone during that first session, Johnson said.

Johnson had to twirl the volume dials on the recording machine just to keep Sledge’s untrained voice at the correct levels during the session, but it worked. The track would become a No. 1 hit in 1966 and establish Sledge as a rhythm-and-blues singer of the first order.

“It gave us chills,” Johnson said.

Afterward, Sledge became a star and helped his native northwest Alabama establish itself as a recording Mecca that drew Aretha Franklin, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, the Allman Brothers, Bob Seger and other top-shelf stars of the 1960s and ’70s in search of the “Muscle Shoals Sound.”

Johnson, now 72, said it all began when Sledge sang “When a Man Loves a Woman,” with its haunting lyrics and his mournful, blue-eyed style.

“Everything lined up for this,” said Johnson, who played rhythm guitar for the great Muscle Shoals studio group called “The Swampers.”

Driver Archie Brown Jr. & 15 Year Old Boy Shot Dead after 2 Year Old Child Ran Into Street and Was Hit by Car and Killed in Milwaukee, WI

Three dead in Milwaukee, Wisconsen after child hit by car after walking into street …

Really, has this what has it has come to? Following a motor vehicle accident where a 2 year old child was struck by a van after the child ran out into the street, the driver did the right thing and stopped. What happened next was nothing short of criminal and as assassination. As reported at JS-Online, had Archie Brown Jr. committed a hit-and-run, he and a 15-year-old boy likely would still be alive today.  However, he did not and moments later the 41 year old driver was shot dead and a 15 year old boy was shot and seriously wounded as well. The 15 year old boy was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries and died during surgery.

Milwaukee police say three people are dead in connection with an incident that began as a fatal accident and turned into a double shooting.

It happened in the 4600 block of N. 48th Street on Sunday, April 12th just after 5:00 p.m. Police had much of Wahl Park blocked off as they worked the scene.

Police say an initial investigation has revealed a two-year-old child ran into the street and was struck by a vehicle.

The 41-year-old man who was driving remained at the scene.

Police say the driver and a 15-year-old boy were then shot. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The 15-year-old boy was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police say he died during surgery.

UPDATE I: Mayor Tom Barrett … Gunman, apparently enraged that a van had struck a 2-year-old boy Sunday on Milwaukee’s northwest side, not only “assassinated” the driver of the van, but cut down the toddler’s brother, who had rushed to the scene.

Archie Brown Jr., 40, was driving the van about 5:10 p.m. Sunday in the 4600 block of N. 48th St., near Wahl Park, when he hit 2-year-old Damani T. Terry, who had darted into the road, according to Milwaukee police.

Brown immediately jumped out and — by all accounts — was grieving and upset as he stood over the body. Rasheed T. Chiles, 15, who had been attending a party at a nearby house with his toddler brother, was at the scene as well.

A gunman shot and killed Brown, according to police.

“Someone got angry,” Barrett said. “Someone took a gun and basically assassinated this gentleman.”

Chiles also was hit, according to Barrett, and died during surgery Sunday night.

Milwaukee police continued on Monday to work on identifying the shooting suspect.

In the late afternoon, Attorney Michael Hupy offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who pulled the trigger. An upset Hupy said it was the fourth time he has offered a personal reward in a murder case.

Police Dash Cam Video from Michael Slager’s Patrol Car Released Prior to Walter Scott Being Fatally Shot by North Charleston Police Officer

DASH CAM VIDEO RELEASED FROM MICHAEL SLAGER’S POLICE CAR AS HE PULLS OVER WALTER SCOTT …

It seemed like an innocent and common incident as North Charleston Police Officer  Michael Slager pulled over Walter Scott for a brake light that was out on his car.  Officer Slager followed standard procedure and asked Scott for his license and registration. However, Scott tells the officer that he does not have the registration as he is planning on buying the car and that the owner of the car has all of the documents. This is when most likely the radar went up on the police officer, as whether one is white, black or purple, once your response to an officer is not the standard, here you go officer, there is a red flag. The VIDEO (2:10 minute) then shows Scott trying to get out of his car as Officer Slager tells him to stay inside the vehicle. Then at the 2:35 minute mark of the VIDEO, Walter Scott opens the car door and runs away from the scene.

The question now will be what happened between the time we see the dash cam video and the video taken by a bystander that shows officer Slager shooting 8 times at Walter Scott killing him.

WISTV 10 – Dash cam video from Michael Slager’s patrol car released.

The State Law Enforcement Division has released a copy of the dash cam footage from North Charleston police officer Michael Slager’s patrol car in the moments before he fatally wounded Walter Scott.

In the video, Slager pulled over Scott and asked to see his license and registration. Scott tells the officer he is missing some paperwork, saying the car is not his but he plans to buy it and the current owner has all of the documents. Right after Scott pulls over, you can also hear Slager tell him his third brake light was out.

Once Slager returns to his car to check Scott’s license, Scott gets out of his vehicle and Slager tells him to get back inside. Scott gets back into his car, then suddenly gets back out and takes off on foot.

You can’t see Slager, but through his microphone you can hear him as he runs after Scott.

This is going to go to trial where former North Charleston Police Officer Michael Slager will be fighting murder charges. With all that being said, forgetting the guilt or innocence of this police officer, people … PEOPLE … DON’T RUN FROM A POLICE OFFICER, ROUTINE STOP OR NOT. DON’T PUT YOURSELF IN HARMS WAY WHERE SOME THING LIKE THIS COULD HAPPEN.

UPDATE I: New witness, dash cam video emerge in South Carolina shooting case.

On Thursday, a new witness emerged in the case. Gwen Nichols told CNN’s Brian Todd that she saw a scuffle between Scott and Slager at the entrance to a vacant lot.

“It was like a tussle type of thing, like, you know, like, ‘What do you want?’ or ‘What did I do?’ type of thing,” Nichols said. “I didn’t hear Mr. Slager saying: ‘Stop!’ ”

Criminal defense attorney Paul Callan says he believes Slager’s defense will play up the scuffle in arguing that this is not a murder case.

“Defense attorneys will say this was a heat of passion shooting — (that) this was something that he did suddenly after some kind of an altercation, a physical altercation with a suspect,” Callan said. “And that would constitute manslaughter under law, as opposed to murder, and it makes a huge difference in sentencing.”

In South Carolina, a murder conviction requires “malice or forethought,” Callan said. Some other states say a murder requires premeditation.

Slager, who has been fired from the North Charleston Police Department, faces up to life in prison or the death penalty if he is convicted of murder.
