Criminals rejoice … ‘America’s Most Wanted’ Canceled … WHAT A SHAME!

What a shame, Fox has canceled the long running crime TV show, ‘AMERICA’S MOST WANTED’. For years every Saturday night John Walsh and the AMW gang have presented and informed America with the stories of crimes and the faces of people that we should be on the look out for. Sources say that AMW will have specials instead of a weekly show. John Walsh, the victim of crime with the loss of his son  Adam Walsh, has hosted the show for its entire 23 year run.

Good news for criminals: Fox is cancelling its long-running crime-stopping series America’s Most Wanted.

The series profiling men and women wanted by law enforcement agencies has been on the air since 1988 and consistently wins its time period. A few years ago it announced the capture of its 1,000th criminal.

When it comes down to it, it’s all about money. It is hard to believe that such a show in this day and age of crime, fugitives, sex predators and dirt bags cannot make a profit. As Hot Air reminds us, this isn’t the first time that Fox wanted to cancel the show.   Although there are certain aspects of the show that need to be retooled and made to be made for ‘real time’, the concept is there and I am sure that AMW will find a nwe home maybe on Lifetime or Tru TV. The major networks are too busy running reruns of the Simpsons and reality TV to air such a show on a Saturday night. Although, one would think that FOX News would have room on the weekend as opposed to showing some of the programming they air.

America’s Most Wanted has a good chance of finding a home someplace else. The show averaged 5 million viewers this season and a 1.7 rating in the adult demo — pretty impressive for a Saturday, though that number was down slightly from last year. The main issue with the show wasn’t its popularity, but the cost of production.

We can only hope that America’s Most Wanted’ lands on another network. Shows of this importance and significance need to be on TV. A note to network execs … AMW is real Reality TV.

Child sexual abuse makes billions of dollars every year for pornographers. Why shouldn’t reporting it make money, too? As for political benefits, the topic makes most people squeamish, which can backfire in politics, as it does at dinner parties when I talk about my work. It’s just not the kind of thing people like to think about – no matter how strongly they may feel about tougher laws and better justice for victims.

Helter Skelter Psycho Charles Manson Busted in Prison with Cell Phone … Called & Texted Individuals

Talk about putting the “CELL” in cell phone …

Convicted “Helter Skelter” psycho murderer Charles Manson was busted in prison for possessing a cell phone. Manson was among thousands of  California inmates busted with a cell phone last year. Manson had reportedly called numbers in New Jersey, California,  Florida and British Columbia. It would appear that serial killer Charles Manson has kept up with the times, he also sent text messages. UNREAL!

Reporting from Sacramento — Contraband cellphones are becoming so prevalent in California prisons that guards can’t keep them out of the hands of the most notorious and violent inmates: Even Charles Manson, orchestrator of one of the most notorious killing rampages in U.S. history, was caught with an LG flip phone under his prison mattress.

Manson made calls and sent text messages to people in California, New Jersey, Florida and British Columbia before officers discovered the phone, said Terry Thornton, a spokeswoman for the California Department of Corrections.

Imagine receiving a call from this sick, twisted freak?

How on earth does some on like Charles Manson get access to a cell phone? WTF!!! A sick SOB like Charles Manson who got other to heinously kill for him gets access to cell phone. Why doesn’t the California Department of Corrections just look the other way and provide Chuck with a blackberry and unlimited wireless Internet connection?

Can you imagine getting a call from Charles Manson? Excuse me Mr. Smith … Charles Manson is on line 2 for you. We thought it was amazing when  Andy Dufresne managed to get a rock hammer into Shawshank prison.

The proliferation of cellphones in California prisons has been exponential in recent years, authorities say. Guards found 1,400 in 2007, when the department began to keep records of confiscations. The number jumped to 6,995 in 2009 and stands at 8,675 so far this year.
