DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz Says Politics Had Nothing to do With Obama’s Delay of Keystone XL Pipeline Until After 2014 Midterm Elections
LIAR, LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE …
DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) was on ‘Meet the Press’ on Sunday spinning like a top. DWS told David Gregory that she does not believe that Barack Obama’s decision to delay the XL Keystone pipeline had nothing to do with politics. HAH! Seriously Debbie, the fact that it is referenced that a decision will be made at the earliest after the 2014 has nothing to do with politics? Sorry, but much like everything with Obama, it has everything to do with politics. This is just another example of Barack Obama kicking the political can of issues down the road and playing partisan politics and putting Democrats ahead of Americans. We know that the Keystone XL pipline construction will create primary jobs and secondary one’s from that. But that does not matter to the Food Stamp president.
DWS discusses Keystone XL Pipeline around the 4:00 mark
DWS went on to say, “It [Keyston XL pipeline] affects multiple states. What’s also true is that incumbent senators like [Louisiana Democrat] Mary Landrieu understand the issues that are important on the ground in their states to their constituents.” Yes, they do and they do not appear to be happy.
This woman has the nerve to talk about Tea party extremists when Democrats and Barack Obama are pandering to the far-left wing environmental wackos in delaying the XL Keystone as even Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) stated, “Today’s decision by the administration amounts to nothing short of an indefinite delay of the Keystone pipeline. The decision’s irresponsible, unnecessary, and unacceptable. By making it clear that they will not move the process forward until there’s a resolution in a lawsuit in Nebraska, the administration is sending a signal that the small minority who oppose the pipeline can tie up the process in court forever.”
DAVID GREGORY: Are you worried, as the party chair, that this shouldn’t be resolved before the election because of the potential impact it could have on vulnerable Democrats?
REP. DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ: As a member of Congress who represents hundreds of thousands of people in south Florida, I want to make sure that the right decision is arrived at. And that the president makes that decision carefully and he doesn’t factor politics into his decision, which I don’t think he is.
DAVID GREGORY: Is the issue in the fall a referendum on President Obama?
REP. DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ: No, absolutely not. The–
DAVID GREGORY: It’s not?
I suppose the IRS targeting the Tea Party, blaming Benghazi on a video tape and delaying employee mandates for Obamacare were not political either.
Former Boxer Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter, Who Was Wrongly Convicted of Murder Dies at age 76 of Prostate Cancer in Toronto, Canada
Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, the former middleweight boxing contender who spent 19 year in prison after being wrongly convicted of a triple murder, has died in Toronto, Canada at the age of 76 from prostate cancer. John Artis, a longtime friend and caregiver, said Carter died in his sleep Sunday. Rubin Carter spent 19 years in prison for a triple killing at the Lafayette Bar and Grill in Paterson, New Jersey before a federal judge ruled in 1985 that he and John Artis, who was with Carter on the night of the shootings. His story was made famous by Denzel Washington in the 1999 movie, ‘The Hurricane’ and the Bob Dylan’s 1975 song, ‘Hurricane’. However, truth be known, there was much poetic Hollywood license and fiction in the movie. There was a bit to much of the softening of The Hurricane. But that being said, it does not change the fact that Rubin “Hurricane” Carter had been very wronged by the system. Carter was freed in November 1985 when his convictions were set aside after years of appeals and public advocacy.
Carter, 76, died of complications from prostate cancer, Wahrer said.
“I always remember spending hours and hours with Rubin talking about the wrongful convictions,” she told CNN. “He was a great mentor and teacher. I felt very fortunate to have those times with him. … He lived a very full life.”
Carter spent 19 years in prison for a triple killing in New Jersey before a federal judge ruled in 1985 that he and John Artis, who was with Carter on the night of the shootings, did not receive fair trials and released them.
The Toronto Star: Rubin “Hurricane” Carter dead at 76.
His career as a prized, top middleweight boxer ended abruptly when he was wrongfully convicted of a 1966 triple murder in New Jersey. In 1985 a U.S. judge freed him, ruling that the prosecution had conducted “an appeal to racism rather than reason, concealment rather than disclosure.”
After he was released from prison Carter moved to the Toronto area, where he took up the cause to fight for those who are wrongfully convicted. In 1993 he helped establish the Association in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted, a Toronto-based non-profit.
Toronto lawyer James Lockyer, a founding director of the association said Carter “dominated the room with a mixture of power and humour and decisiveness.”
Lockyer said Carter forged close bonds with the wrongfully accused he worked to free, a lengthy list that included Guy Paul Morin, David Milgaard and Steven Truscott.
“He brought such comfort to them and such inspiration to them to carry on the fight,” Lockyer said.
Whenever the association needed an advocate or a speaker, Carter was the natural choice, he said.
And now for a more truthful depiction of Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, his career, the events of 1966 at the Lafayette Bar and Grill in Paterson, New Jersey, the trial and aftermath … from ESPN Sports Century – Rubin Hurricane Carter.

6 in 10 American Voters Believe Barack Obama Lies to the Country … #YOU LIE
Barack Obama, the Liar in Chief … There is a reason he is called the Lion Lying King.
According to a recent Fox News Poll, 6 in 10 American voters believe that President Barack Obama lies to the country on important issues most or some of the time. Just 6 in 10? Of course for many of us we can put one and one together and understand that Obama has been lying for years. However, what is most interesting from this poll is the number of Obama/Democrat key constituents that thinks he lies “most of the time” includes 13% of Democrats, 12% of blacks, 16% of liberals, 31% of unmarried women and 34% of those under age 30. OUCH!!!
Full poll results can be read HERE.
About six in ten American voters think Barack Obama lies to the country on important matters some or most of the time, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday.
Thirty-seven percent think Obama lies “most of the time,” while another 24 percent say he lies “some of the time.” Twenty percent of voters say “only now and then” and 15 percent “never.”
President Obama has been accused by political opponents and media fact-checkers alike of telling falsehoods. Frequently cited: His repeated claim that under Obamacare “If you like your plan, you can keep it” and his insistence that “the day after Benghazi happened, I acknowledged that this was an act of terrorism.”
Of course Obama’s biggest lie that will affect nearly every individual in the United States was his shameful lies regarding Obamacare and that, “If you like your plan, you can keep it” In fact it garnered him the Politfact 2013 Lie of the Year. However, the lies have been so plentiful that it is almost impossible to list them. But with so many scandals during his presidency like Fast & Furious, Benghazi-gate and ITS-gate to name a few, are we really to believe that Barack Obama had no knowledge what was really going on? If his answer is he knew nothing, that would be a lie.
It would appear that Republican South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson was on to something when he yelled out, “you lie,” during Obama’s 2010 State of the Union Address.
House Oversight Committee Holds ex-IRS Official Lois Lerner in Contempt … Full House Vote to Follow
LOIS LERNER HELD IN CONTEMPT …
The House Oversight Committee voted 21-12 yesterday to hold former IRS official Lois Lerner in contempt for her refusal to answer questions regarding her role in the targeting of non-profit Conservative and Tea Party groups. The vote was along party lines. Democrats will rue the day that they voted in favor of defending Lois Lerner and the IRS controversy of specifically and intentionally targeting conservative groups. A note to Democrats voters, next time it could be you. As reported at Mediaite, Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said that they “need Ms. Lerner’s testimony to complete our oversight work and bring truth to the American people,” and they took the vote just a day after the House Ways and Means Committee sent a letter to the Justice Department recommending they consider criminal charges for Lerner. Don’t hold your breathe that Eric Holder will do anything. Lerner evoked her 5th Amendment Rights, not once, but twice … but not before she made a statement before the committee stating her innocence.
“I have not done anything wrong. I have not broken any laws. I have not violated any IRS rules or regulations and I have not provided false information to this or any other Congressional committee.”
A House panel voted along party lines to hold ex-IRS official Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress on Thursday, paving the way for a full House vote as Republicans turn up the heat on the woman at the center of the controversy over tax-exempt tea party groups.
If approved by the full House as expected, it would be one of about a dozen congressional contempt votes in the past 35 years. Republicans voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt over the Fast and Furious matter in 2012.
The House Oversight Committee voted 21-12 along in a straight party line vote to hold Lerner in contempt for refusing to answer questions about her role in the IRS tea party scandal that erupted last May. The full House is expected to follow suit in the coming weeks. Democrats compared the process to the 1950s when Sen. Joe McCarthy directed a series of contempt votes on Americans who refused questioning about what he called their “un-American” activities.
“We need Ms. Lerner’s testimony to complete our [investigation],” said Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.). “Taxpayers don’t get to plead the Fifth [Amendment] and escape all accountability when the IRS audits them. … It would irresponsible for the committee not to vigorously pursue her testimony.”

AG Eric Holder Plays the Race Card at Sharpton’s National Action Network Conference About How Congress Treated Him
What a shock, Attorney General plays the victim and the race card …
While speaking to the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network at its annual convention in New York on Wednesday, Attorney General Eric Holder complained about how he was “treated” by a House committee the day before, namely Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), played the race card, calling it evidence of “ugly and divisive” civil rights challenges facing him and President Barack Obama. Holder stated that his and Barack Obama’s treatment by Congress has been unprecedented to his Al Sharpton crowd. Hmm, what ever could he be implying? Really Holder, call the “wahmbulance”. Holder may want to do some Google searches on how past GOP presidents were treated, he may learn something. But, liberals are always the victim and in Holder’s case, throw a little racism on the fire to continue the divide and conquer strategy as the Obama administrations fails America.
Attorney General Eric Holder strayed from prepared remarks to slam the way he was “treated” by a House committee the day before, calling it evidence of “ugly and divisive” civil rights challenges facing him and President Barack Obama.
“The last five years have been defined by significant strides and by lasting reforms even in the face, even in the face of unprecedented, unwarranted, ugly and divisive adversity,” Holder said. “If you don’t believe that, you look at the way — forget about me, forget about me. You look at the way the attorney general of the United States was treated yesterday by a House committee — has nothing to do with me, forget that. What attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment? What president has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?”
Holder goes off script and plays the victim during a speech he gave Wednesday to Al Sharpton’s National Action Network.
Holder vs. Gohmert, “Don’t Go There”
Attorney General Eric Holder lashed out a bit at Louis Gohmert yesterday during a contentious exchange, snapping, “You don’t want to go there, buddy.” Holder’s clearly steamed about the back-and-forth, and brought it up during a speech he gave Wednesday to Al Sharpton’s National Action Network. The Justice Department posted the transcript of Holder’s remarks as prepared for delivery, but Holder went off-script a bit to take a shot at the Republican congressman.
In the end, Eric Holder would have been fired under any other administration for the poor job that he has done. Holder has provided no justice in ‘Fast & Furious’, ‘Benghazi’ or the IRS scandal of targeting Conservative and Tea Party groups. However, when his job is to obstruct and protect Barack Obama’s bacon from impeachment and his connection to these scandals, Holder is doing a fantastic job and thus the reason why he is still employed. Maybe the reason why, as Holder says, “What attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment? What president has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?” is because we have never had such a corrupt and imperial administration?
