Minnesota Vikings’ Adrian Peterson Indictment in Child Injury Case … Warrant Issued for His Arrest (Update: Peterson Booked on Child Abuse Charge, Posts Bond)

AND ANOTHER BLACK EYE FOR THE NFL …

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been indicted in Montgomery County, Texas  for reckless or negligent injury to a child. The indictment is in regards to Peterson hitting his 4 year old son this past summer with a branch, referred to as a switch, as a form of punishment. Peterson states that this is how he was punished as a child. A grand jury seated earlier this summer decided not to charge Peterson with a crime. However, that was not the case with the new one. According to accounts, the incident resulted in multiple injuries to the child. The boy lives with his mother in Minnesota but was on a visit to Texas several months ago when Peterson disciplined him with the switch.  Peterson was taken into custody at 1 a.m. Saturday in Montgomery County, Texas, and was released on $15,000 bond, according to NFL.com. If convicted, Adrian Peterson could face two years in prison.

Adrian Peterson has been deactivated by the Vikings and will not play this Sunday against the New England Patriots.

According to law-enforcement sources, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson beat his 4-year-old son with a tree branch as a form of punishment this summer, an incident that allegedly resulted in multiple injuries to the child. According to reports, Peterson has been indicted in Montgomery County, Texas for injury to a child.

The “whooping” – as Peterson put it when interviewed by police – occurred in Spring, Texas, in May. Peterson’s son had pushed another one of Peterson’s children off of a motorbike video game. As punishment, Peterson grabbed a tree branch – which he consistently referred to as a “switch” – removed the leaves and struck the child repeatedly.

The beating allegedly resulted in numerous injuries to the child, including cuts and bruises to the child’s back, buttocks, ankles, legs and scrotum, along with defensive wounds to the child’s hands. Peterson then texted the boy’s mother, saying that one wound in particular would make her “mad at me about his leg. I got kinda good wit the tail end of the switch.”

Statements Issued by Peterson’s attorney, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and and Minnesota Vikings.

Adrian Peterson’s lawyer, Rusty Hardin later released the following statement:

Adrian Peterson has been informed that he was indicted by a grand jury in Montgomery County, Texas for Injury to a Child. The charged conduct involves using a switch to spank his son. This indictment follows Adrian’s full cooperation with authorities who have been looking into this matter. Adrian is a loving father who used his judgment as a parent to discipline his son. He used the same kind of discipline with his child that he experienced as a child growing up in east Texas. Adrian has never hidden from what happened. He has cooperated fully with authorities and voluntarily testified before the grand jury for several hours. Adrian will address the charges with the same respect and responsiveness he has brought to this inquiry from its beginning. It is important to remember that Adrian never intended to harm his son and deeply regrets the unintentional injury.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement on Friday evening:

On Thursday, September 11, 2014, a Montgomery County Grand Jury, “true billed”, Adrian Lewis Peterson on a charge of injury to a child. On today’s date at 2:47 PM, a warrant was issued and entered for the arrest of Adrian Peterson for that charge.

Since the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has referred the case to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, and the investigation has led to a, “true bill”, on a criminal offense, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will not discuss details in reference to the case or investigation.

At the time of this release, Adrian Peterson is not in custody at the Montgomery County Jail and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office does not have any details in the arrest of Adrian Peterson.

Peterson’s team, the Vikings, released the following statement on Friday evening:

The Vikings are in the process of gathering information regarding the legal situation involving Adrian Peterson. At this time, we will defer further questions to Adrian’s attorney Rusty Hardin.

UPDATE I: Warrant issued for arrest of Vikings’ Adrian Peterson after indictment alleging injury to child

One of the darkest weeks in NFL history took another disturbing twist Friday when a warrant was issued in Texas for the arrest of Adrian Peterson, the face of the Vikings, over his treatment of one of his children.

Peterson faces an indictment accusing him of reckless or negligent injury to a child stemming from Peterson’s decision earlier this year to discipline his 4-year-old son by beating him with a ‘‘switch.’’

The Vikings responded by quickly deactivating Peterson for Sunday’s home opener against New England at TCF Bank Stadium. Peterson will surrender to Houston police, his attorney said.

40 Year Old Tatanysha Hedman Arrested for Setting her 52 Year Old Husband Vincent Phillips on Fire After Catching Him Molesting Her 7 Year Old Daughter

Arrested, she should have been given a medal …

52 year old Vincent Phillips ran from his apartment and drove to a nearby Skyway convenience store screaming “I’m on fire!” Sounds like he is the victim, doesn’t it? However, appearances can be deceiving.  Phillips was doused with gasoline and set on fire by his wife,  40 year old Tatanysha Hedman. However, some one does not do something this extreme unless there is a real reason to set a Momma Bear off. It would appear that  Tatanysha Hedman  caught her husband molesting her 7 year old daughter.  Hedman said she did it because shooting him “was too nice.” Vincent Phillips is now facing sex crime charges.  However, the police also arrested Tatanysha Hedman and she has been booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault and arson woman suspected of setting husband on fire.

After a mother in Renton, Washington, caught her husband allegedly molesting her 7-year-old daughter, she apparently planned a violent revenge plot.

Tatanysha Hedman, 40, reportedly told police that she decided to douse her husband, Vincent Phillips, 52, in gasoline while he slept and then light him on fire.

She told police that simply shooting him would have been “too nice” given the circumstances.

Phillips reportedly ran into a nearby gas station seeking help after he was able to put himself out. The man was badly burned and had to be hospitalized in intensive care.

Phillips is also now facing sex crime charges involving the 7-year-old girl, who is his stepdaughter. The extent of his alleged crimes were unknown as of Wednesday afternoon.

This child sex offender should probably count his lucky stars and pray that his wife did not go Lorena Bobbitt on him.

James Wright, Father of Missing 6 Year Old Jenise Paulette Wright, Previously Charged with Molesting his Then 8 year-Old Stepdaughter

KIROTV is reporting that James Wright, the father of missing six year old Jenise Paulette Wright in Bremerton, WA has been previously charged with molesting his then 8 year old step-daughter in 1999. KIRO 7 has obtained court records from Whatcom County showing James Wright was accused of child molestation and fourth-degree assault in 1999. He later pleaded guilty to the assault charge, the molestation charges were dropped.

Kitsap County sheriff’s investigators say Wright and his wife Denise have both submitted to a polygraph, or lie detector test. The results have not been made public but both are said to be cooperating with the search and investigation.

Two of the Wright’s children, ages 8 and 12, have been removed from the home by state Child Protective Services due to what’s described as “probable cause developed during the investigation.” No other details have been released.

James Wright, the father of a missing 6-year-old girl in Washington State was previously charged with molesting a young family member, however, police say he is not a suspect or a person of interest in his daughter’s disappearance. What else would they say at this time when they are looking to get his cooperation in Jenise’s disappearance?

Marcus Fiesel Murder Story on TV Sunday Night on “Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall”

Marcus Fiesel Murder Story on TV Sunday Night at 10 p.m. Sunday on the Investigation Discovery channel.

It was August 15, 2006 when Liz and husband David Carroll said on  that 3 year old Marcus Fiesel disappeared in an Anderson Township, OH park. This sparking a search by thousands of volunteers that lasted several days. Marcus’ mom Liz Caroll tearfully begged people to help find her son, all the while she knew exactly what had happened and what she did to this poor child.

Marcus Fiesel

Marcus Fiesel, RIP

The death of 3-year-old Marcus Fiesel, who authorities said was killed by his foster parents in 2006, will be featured on “Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall” 10 p.m. Sunday on the Investigation Discovery channel.

The one-hour show includes an interview with Liz Carroll, Marcus’ foster mother, who is serving a life prison sentence after her conviction in a Clermont County Common Pleas Court in 2007.

Investigation Discovery, one of the sister Discovery Channel networks, can be found in Greater Cincinnati on Time Warner Channels 1139 (HD) and 139, and on Northern Kentucky Time Warner Channels 948 (HD) and 471, and Cincinnati Fioptics Channels 675 (HD) and 275.

What really happened to Marcus as Liz Carroll was providing crocodile tears …

Liz and David Carroll wrapped Marcus in a blanket, bound him with duct tape and left him in a hot closet without food and water while they went out of town for a weekend family reunion, prosecutors said.

After finding him dead, David Carroll and his live-in lover, Amy Baker, took Marcus’ body to a rural area and burned it with gasoline. Then they threw the remains in the Ohio River.

The horrific 2006 murder of 3 year old Marcus Fiesel, a special needs Foster child, was one that shocked the senses of everyone, including myself. However, from the outset of the case of missing Marcus Fiesel, some thing just seemed to be wrong. Flashback to 2006,  Scared Monkeys followed the events from the outset and had posted some rather critical articles of the foster parents accounts, obviously striking a nerve with Liz Carroll. The posts prompted Liz to leave a comment on Missing & Exploited web page that was far from PG rated and some what threatening. Needless to say it was forwarded to authorities. That very next morning, as fate would have it, Liz and David Carroll were arrested in the death of Marcus Fiesel.

Scared Monkeys: Missing & Exploited was later contacted by Rick McCrabb of the Ohio newspaper, The Middletown Journal, for comments and our coverage of this case.

Newspapers and television stations in southwest Ohio have followed every step in the case, and now that his foster parents have been charged, the story has grabbed the attention of media outlets throughout the United States.

There are Web sites that feature photo albums, message boards, chat rooms and slide and video shows. One of those is www.scaredmonkeys.com, dedicated to exploited and missing children. “Red,” one of the site’s co-founders, said after news of Marcus’ disappearance was linked to his Web site, he received an e-mail from Marcus’ foster mother. She chastised the site for their portrayal.

“As soon as she did that, well, it was like, she’s guilty,” Red said Friday from his office in Maine. “You knew this was going to end bad. The radar just went up. It raises the hair on the back of your neck. When you kill your son, and go public pleading for help, it brings it to a special level of hell.”

He said Marcus’ story has drawn widespread coverage because people are so “disgusted by it.” (Middletown Journal)

Here is one comment from Liz that we were able to print. Too bad she was lying through her murderous teeth.

First, I would like to state that the most important thing that everyone should be concerned about is finding my son. My family’s past and living arrangements have absolutely nothing to do with finding him. My family left our home to avoid media and multiple stangers from sitting outside our house at all hours. We have cooperated 110% with the detectives and have stayed in touch with them on a daily basis. Again, my family has done nothing wrong, we love and miss Marcus. I regret going to the park, not sitting down and not eating that morning. My family and I take day care and foster care children to King’s Island, Water parks, town parks, YMCA, aquariums, carnivals, festivals, and many more places. Since this incident, I have not been left alone and we haven’t taken out kids anywhere but school shopping. I am begging for anyone and everyone that reads this to PLEASE help me find my son. I know that I will not be able to care for him after this incident but I still need to know that he is alright. PLEASE call crime stoppers with ANY possible leads!!!!!!Thank you.
