Barack Obama Arrives Late for ‘Moment of Silence’ for Paris Attacks at the G-20 Conference in Turkey

The optics are typical of this president. On Sunday at the G-20 conference in Turkey, Barack Obama showed up late on a moment of silence being held by world leaders to honor the victims of Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris. I am certain he will find someone to blame for his being late to this function. Had it been Obama providing an apology to the conference for the United States being responsible for the rise of ISIS and terrorism, I am certain he would have been on time.

President Obama walked in late Sunday on a moment of silence being held by world leaders in Turkey to honor the victims of Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris.

Reporters traveling with the president said Mr. Obama had not yet arrived when other world leaders at the G-20 conference in Turkey began their silent observance around a large conference table.

Mr. Obama walked in after they had begun, and took his place next to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Well this might be the worst timed interview and one of the biggest lies from Obama’s lips. Oh yes Mr. President, ISIS is contained and not gaining strength, tell that to the 129 innocent people killed in France on Friday and to those aboard the Russian airplane that was blown out of the sky last week by what all accounts was most likely a bomb of which ISIS has claimed responsibility.

ISIS contained, are you kidding me? Obama has been an complete failure when it comes to ISIS and has just kicked the can down the road to the next president. ISIS is not gaining strength … This brought to you by the liar who told the American people, If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it.  This from the president who cannot even utter the words, radical Islam.

ABC News: Obama Criticized for Claim That ISIS Is ‘Contained’.

Critics are lashing out at President Obama in the wake of the attacks in Paris on Friday for remarks he made to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos a day earlier in which he said that ISIS was “contained.”

“From the start, our goal has been first to contain, and we have contained them,” Obama told ABC on Thursday. “They have not gained ground in Iraq. And in Syria it — they’ll come in, they’ll leave. But you don’t see this systematic march by ISIL across the terrain.”

The comment came just hours before the announcement of a U.S. airstrike in Syria that had targeted ‘Jihadi John.’ But the mainly symbolic victory was cut short following the attacks in Paris on Friday in which at least 127 people were killed.

The president later took umbrage when CBS News reporter Major Garrett asked why he is “content” the freedom of American prisoners held in Iran was not secured, despite their cases apparently being raised.

“The notion that I am content, as I celebrate, with American citizens languishing in Iranian jails — Major, that’s nonsense, and you should know better,” Obama said, adding: “I’ve met with the families of some of those folks, and nobody’s content.”

The president said teams are working “diligently” to free them, but said tying their freedom to negotiations could create an incentive for Iran to use American prisoners as leverage for concessions.

Obama also acknowledged there will still be “problems with Iran’s sponsorship of terrorism” and other issues — but said to oppose this deal because it doesn’t resolve all those issues “defies logic. It makes no sense.”

No sooner was Secretary of State John Kerry singing the praises of the Iranian/US nuclear talks than along comes the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei calling for “death to America”. This is exactly the type of people we need to be trusting in any type of deal. This as the Barack Obama and John Kerry tell us to trust Iran and the Obama administration to make a deal. ARE YOU SERIOUS? Since when has Iran not been the #1 country in the world for state sponsored terrorism? They have their hands in so many proxy wars throughout the Middle East and now Obama wants to trust them. Good grief. Even Charlie Brown questions Lucy before he kicks the football. We all know how that ends don’t we.

What has Iran ever done since the 1970′s and the fall of the Shah of Iran to make us believe that they are an honest broker? Hell, for the fact, what has Barack Obama done to make us believe the same? So what is Obama spewing this time, “If you like your nuclear bombs, you can keep them?”

Iran’s Supreme leader Ali Khamenei called for “Death to America” on Saturday, a day after President Barack Obama appealed to Iran to seize a “historic opportunity” for a nuclear deal and a better future, and as US Secretary of State John Kerry claimed substantial progress toward an accord.

Khamenei told a crowd in Tehran that Iran would not capitulate to Western demands. When the crowd started shouting, “Death to America,” the ayatollah responded: “Of course yes, death to America, because America is the original source of this pressure.

“They insist on putting pressure on our dear people’s economy,” he said, referring to economic sanctions aimed at halting Iran’s nuclear program. “What is their goal? Their goal is to put the people against the system,” he said. “The politics of America is to create insecurity,” he added, referring both to US pressure on Iran and elsewhere in the region.

Khamenei’s comments contrasted with those of Iranian President Hassan Rohani, who said “achieving a deal is possible” by the March 31 target date for a preliminary accord.

Kerry was more circumspect, as he spoke to reporters after six days of negotiations in the Swiss city of Lausanne. The talks, made “substantial progress,” he said, but “important gaps remain.

Although, if it meant the difference between Barack Obama spending time on this terrible and foolish nuclear deal with Iran and the NCAA College Basketball brackets, I say let Obama pick as many brackets as he can until he gets it right.
