The Narcissist in Chief Strikes Again … Barack Obama Honors Himself on 58th Anniversary of Rosa Parks Civil Disobedience Bus Arrest

This is just truly disturbing, this man has no shame …

On December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Rosa Parks refused to obey bus driver James F. Blake’s order that she give up her seat in the colored section to a white passenger, after the white section was filled and was arrested.  Her arrest for civil disobedience for ignoring the Alabama law requiring black people to relinquish seats to white people when the bus was full sparked a 381-day boycott of the Montgomery bus system. It also gave rise to the 1596  Supreme Court decision banning segregation on public transportation. Rosa Parks was a woman of great courage, charter, strength, perseverance and principles. On this day we remember her for standing up, or we should say sitting down,  and saying no to what she knew was wrong.

The story behind the bus.

Parks’ act of defiance and the Montgomery Bus Boycott became important symbols of the modern Civil Rights Movement. She became an international icon of resistance to racial segregation. She organized and collaborated with civil rights leaders, including Edgar Nixon, president of the local chapter of the NAACP; and Martin Luther King, Jr., a new minister in town who gained national prominence in the civil rights movement.

At the time, Parks was secretary of the Montgomery chapter of the NAACP. She had recently attended the Highlander Folk School, a Tennessee center for training activists for workers’ rights and racial equality. She acted as a private citizen “tired of giving in”. Although widely honored in later years, she also suffered for her act; she was fired from her job as a seamstress in a local department store.

Today, President Barack Obama honored Rosa Parks on the 58th anniversary of her civil disobedience that would change America forever. Well kind of.  It would appear that President Barack Obama decided to honor this day by honoring himself. What a shock that Obama would make it about him. Really, has this man no shame? To remember and honor Rosa Parks on the the historic day what did Barack Obama do … why tweet a picture of himself of course.

Just another head shaking moment from this president. What is this guy, a one trick pony? He used the same pic last year to agitate and compare himself to her as well. Way to go out of your way and do something different to honor an American hero.

Some responses to Obama’s look at me, it is all about me remembrance. Oh, did I mention the world revolves around me, me, me, Barack Obama? The audacity of this man is repulsive. A note to Barack Obama, you would never know what it means to sacrifice like Rosa Parks and do something like she did that was so selfless and for others, not yourself. Hell, you can’t even sacrifice not golfing to do the right thing.

Has the bar ever been set so low for anything that would affect so many American’s lives? Even though the Obamacare web site still has numerous problems and unresolved issues like data being transmitted to insurance companies and crucial system issues involving payments to insurance companies, not to mention security issues … Barack Obama and his minions have declared “VICTORY” and stated that they have met their goals. Of course they have, and you can keep your insurance if you like it also.

The Obama administration claimed victory Sunday for making HealthCare.gov workable for the vast majority of users, a standard that will be tested as millions of people flood the site in the next three weeks.

Sunday marked the passage of the administration’s self-imposed deadline for fixing the broken ObamaCare enrollment website, which serves consumers in 36 states.

The agency that oversees HealthCare.gov said “we believe we have met the goal” of making the system navigable for most people, but cautioned that more problems may lie ahead.

“Dramatic progress has been made,” the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) stated in a report released Sunday morning. “[But] there is more work to be done to continue to improve and enhance the website.”

The mixed message highlights the challenge facing the Obama administration as it seeks to ensure that millions can sign up for individual health plans online by the end of March.

Oh but wait, here is a ringing endorsement that they have met their goals … David Plouffe, President Obama’s former campaign manager said Sunday said on ABC’s “This Week” that it may be years until 2017 before ObamaCare is working “really well.” 2017???!!!???  Hey, wait until 3017, I bet it will be doing gangbusters by then! But wait, I thought Barack Obama declared “Mission Accomplished?”

 “This program was designed to be implemented by the states. And in most of the states that are running their exchanges it’s going quite well,” Plouffe told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. “You talked about Medicaid expansion. I think it’s just a fact, and it may take until 2017 when this president leaves office, you’re going to see almost every state in this country running their own exchanges eventually and expanding Medicaid. And I think it’ll work really well then.”

They just don’t get it do they, or they just don’t want to admit it. The Healthcare.gov website are the least of their issues. It’s the fact that 5+ million people have lost their healthcare and are peeved. Obama’s promise of keeping their good insurance was a lie. Now Americans are faced with losing their insurance, their hospitals and their doctors. The disaster is just beginning for Obamacare and the pain it is going to inflict upon Americans.

“You see the interest out there … people want healthcare,” Plouffe said. “They’re going to be able to get healthcare.”

“So, if the website is working … people will tell their siblings or they’ll talk their brothers, or sisters or their friends, say I went on, it was pretty easy, I got healthcare. I’m happy with the plan. So, this is going to be something that person to person is going to get fixed or not. And I think what you’re beginning to see is the interest is spiking, because the interest is out there. People just need an easy experience and it hasn’t been easy,” he added.

Plouffe said the administration has gone through a “tough patch” with the botched rollout of ObamaCare, adding that the government shutdown also affected Americans’

The eager liberal media was all but ready to hold Obama’s minions hands to the fire and have an objective, tough and fair discussion about the train wreck called Obamacare. Sure they were. Then a funny thing happened, as opined by Doug Powers at Michelle Malkin.com, Meet the Depressed had a fair and balanced discussion. David Brinkley is shaking his head in embarrassing disgust and shame. The MSM could not wait to gush over Obama and that the website worked better. Um, worked better than what, a crash a minute? So the water-carrying media are all to joyful to say that the Obama administration came thru on their promise to get the website back up and working better … too bad they can’t say the same about Obama’s promises to the American people that they can keep their healthcare insurance if they like it.

Meanwhile, “Meet the Press” had an Obamacare “Reality Check” segment this morning featuring Ezekiel Emanuel and Ezra Klein.   David Gregory planned to have somebody on the panel more to the right of those two in order to provide some balance, but Nancy Pelosi was unable to make it.

More at TPM, one of the Beltway’s best-known pundits gave credence this week to perhaps the fringiest of all Obamacare conspiracy theories … death panels. But is it really a conspiracy theory? Didn’t Barack Obama also tell us that if you liked your healthcare plan, you could keep your healthcare plan, PERIOD! Didn’t Obama tell us we could keep our doctor and hospital as well? Didn’t Obama promise us that premiums would go down? ALL WERE LIES THAT OBAMA KNEW WERE LIES!!! So what would make anyone think now that the “death” panels, i.e. end of life healthcare rationing were not true as well? Barack Obama hardly has a track record of telling the truth. What was Obama and his minions going to do in getting this bogus law passed and prior to the 2012 presidential, tell the truth that bureaucrats would kill off grandma as they waged a war on the GOP that Republicans wanted to push her off the cliff? Hardly. Obamacare was passed on the intentional deceit of the White House and all that dare get in its way are say anything bad were attacked. How’s that “Hopey-Changey” death panels working out for you America?

“We do need to do some of that in this country, because we can’t afford to spend so much on end-of-life care. A very high percentage of our healthcare spending is for a very small number of people at the last stages of their life,” he said Monday.

“I’m not saying the system shouldn’t allow that, but there’s too much cost. There’re judgments have to be made.”

Barack Obama and Democrats thought the 2010 midterm elections were a shellacking, 2014 might be even worse. According to a recent CNN poll, Democrats have lost all of their political advantage over the GOP for the 2014 elections. Republicans now hold a 49% to 48% lead in the generic ballot, which asked respondents to choose between a Democrat or Republican in their congressional district without identifying the candidates. Just last month Democrats held a 50%-42% advantage among registered voters in a generic ballot. This is a 10 point swing follows a political uproar over Obamacare, and Obama being caught lying to the American people that, “if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan, PERIOD!” and instead 5 plus million people and counting have lost their healthcare coverage.

Guess what Democrats, I guess Americans are finally learning what was in the bill that Pelosi said you just had to pass along a partisan Democrat vote.

But the Democratic lead has disappeared. A new CNN/ORC poll indicates the GOP now holds a 49%-47% edge.

Gee, I wonder why Obama delayed the enrollment period for 2015 until after the 2014 midterm elections. It couldn’t be 100% based on politics now, could it? Sadly, with many individuals in America who really needed healthcare reform and affordable coverage, Barack Obama and Democrats just used that as an excuse for a political power grab and a way for the federal government to take over 1/6th of the US economy.

How is the following possible? Not only did President Barack Obama not call Israeli officials before the nuclear agreement was signed last night in Geneva between Iran and the six world powers, but as of this morning as reported on FOX News, Obama still hasn’t called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the agreement. This is just simply shameful and disrespectful. Israel is our greatest ally in the Middle East and a direct target of Iran. Just this past week in a speech, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei described Israel as “a rabid dog” and the public responded with calls of ‘Death to America! Death to Israel!’

Maybe Obama previously told Netanyahu that we have to pass the nuclear deal to see what’s in it and promised him that they can keep their same secure Israel, if they like it?

Following the signing of the nuclear agreement, Israeli PM Netanyahu blasted it as a ‘historic mistake.’

Israel on Sunday lashed out at the Geneva nuclear deal brokered by world powers as being heavily stacked in Iran’s favour, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling it a “historic mistake.”

Following a months-long diplomatic campaign warning of the dangers of easing economic sanctions on Iran in exchange for steps to curb its contested nuclear programme, senior cabinet ministers chimed in, with one saying Israel reserved the right to strike Iran on its own.

Netanyahu told his cabinet on Sunday that “what was achieved yesterday in Geneva is not a historic agreement but rather a historic mistake,” according to a post on spokesman Ofir Gendelman’s Twitter account.

Then Obama’s Secretary of State Thurstan Howell III John Kerry  goes on ‘This Week’ with George Stephanopoulos and lies that Israel supported the nuclear deal with Iran, claiming there is “no daylight” between Israel and the US”. UNBELIEVABLE.  No daylight? There is so much daylight you could drive a truck thru it, or a nuclear missile. This administration is just incapable of telling the truth on anything. This is just frightening. How in the hell did these people get reelected? The lied about taking over 1/6th of the United State’s economy with Obamacare, now they are doing the same with ours and Israel’s national security.

“Israel and the United States absolutely share the same goal here. There is no daylight between us, with respect to what we want to achieve at this point,” Kerry told “This Week” anchor George Stephanopoulos shortly after the deal was reached. “We both want to make it certain Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. And Iran cannot be in a place where they can breakout and suddenly get that nuclear weapon.”
