Chicago Bears DE Ray McDonald Arrested & Charged with Domestic Violence and Child Endangerment in California … AGAIN!!! (Update: Bears Release McDonald)

HEY NFL COMMISSIONER ROGER GOODELL, I KNOW ITS NOT SOMETHING AS SERIOUS, TERRIBLE AND VIOLENT AS DEFLATING A FOOTBALL, BUT MAYBE THIS ARREST OF RAY MCDONALD FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WILL BE ENOUGH FOR YOU TO SAY THAT HE BROKE NFL RULES AND PUNISH HIM, HMM?

As Yogi Berra would say, it’s like deja vu all over again … Ray McDonald, the defensive end for the Chicago Bears was arrested Monday morning in San Jose, California for domestic violence. According to The Santa Clara Police Department, McDonald was arrested at 7 a.m. local time Monday in San Jose and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and child endangerment.

Police say Chicago Bears defensive end Ray McDonald has been accused of domestic violence in California, the latest arrest for the former San Francisco 49er.

The Santa Clara Police Department confirmed that McDonald was arrested at 7 a.m. local time Monday in San Jose and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and child endangerment. He will be booked at the Santa Clara County Jail.

According to Santa Clara police, McDonald was arrested after officers said he “physically assaulted the victim while she was holding a baby.” Police were called to an apartment in Santa Clara, California, but found that McDonald had left and was later found at a home in San Jose.

The San Jose address at which McDonald was arrested is that of a house that belongs to ex-49ers teammate Justin Smith, according to property records. Smith has not been implicated in the incident in any way.

This was not the first time that Ray McDonald finds himself in trouble with the law. The San Fransisco 49ers cut McDonald following his previous arrest for domestic violence.

UPDATE I: Bears Release Ray McDonald After Domestic Violence Arrest.

The Chicago Bears rolled the dice on signing defensive end Ray McDonald after a history of domestic abuse accusations and arrests, and on Monday their gamble didn’t pay off as the team released McDonald following a domestic violence arrest.

“We believe in second chances, but when we signed Ray we were very clear what our expectations were if he was to remain a Bear,” Bears G.M. Ryan Pace said in a statement. “He was not able to meet the standard and the decision was made to release him.”

Well isn’t that something and a change of heart from the fickle Chicago Bears. Wasn’t it just back in March that Chicago Bears team chairman George McCaskey was singing the praises of  Ray McDonald and that he said he was “impressed” at “how sincere he was and how motivated he is”. Remember that Mr. McCaskey? Guess what, YOU WERE WRONG!!!

McCaskey acknowledged in March that he changed his mind about McDonald after their face-to-face meeting and a phone call to McDonald’s parents.

“We have a 96-year tradition of doing things a certain way, of bringing a certain type of player into our team,” McCaskey said at the time. “And those were my concerns going into the conversation with Ray. But I think you look at every situation individually. You try to find out as much information as you can that’s reliable to make the best decision you can about whether to offer a player the privilege of becoming a Chicago Bear.

“I was impressed with how sincere he was and how motivated he is. He understands, I think, that he could have well been facing the end of his football career. And he loves football, and he wants that career to continue. So I was impressed with his motivation.”

Daron Dylon Wint, Suspected in Quadruple Washington, D.C Murder Arrested and Charged with Murder (Update: Police Say Wint May Not Have Acted Alone)

Daron Dylon Wint was arrested by police Thursday night and charged with the quadruple murder of the Savopoulos family and their house keeper.

34 year old Daron Dylon Wint was arrested Thursday night in Northeast Washington, DC by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. Wint is the prime suspect in the quadruple murder of the  Savopoulos family and their housekeeper. Wint was charged with first degree felony murder while armed. According to accounts, Wint was tracked to New York City; however, was ultimately taken into custody at 11 p.m. on Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast Washington.  Savvas Savopoulos was the CEO of American Iron Works, where Darron Dylon Wint was reported to have been a previous  employee of the company.

Wint, 34, was arrested at 11 p.m. on Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast Washington, Metropolitan Police said. He is charged with first degree felony murder while armed. Members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force made the arrest. He is slated to be arraigned later today.

Robert Fernandez, Commander of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, says Wint’s arrest occurred after officers trailed two vehicles leaving a Maryland hotel. The capture apparently followed a missed opportunity for an arrest.

“We tracked him up to New York City and we barely missed him,” Fernandez said.

“It was a very fluid situation. We were planning on figuring out where he was in the hotel and then taking him down. When we were approaching, we realized he was in a vehicle.”

UPDATE I: Suspect in DC quadruple murder Arrested with four associates.

From the NY Post domes the following, Robin Ficker, an attorney who represented Daron Dylon Wint years ago, said he did not believe Wint could “hurt a fly.” What do you say now counselor?

The massive manhunt for a suspect in the horrific murders of a Washington businessman’s family and their housekeeper ended late Thursday when police grabbed suspect Daron Dylon Wint and four associates in the nation’s capital.

“Just got him,” D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said shortly before 11:30 p.m.

The arrest capped a day that began with the revelation Wint had been identified in last week’s murders of Savvas Savopoulos, 46; his wife Amy, 47; the couple’s 10-year-old son Philip, and housekeeper Veralicia Figueroa, 57, by DNA left on pizza crust during what may have been an extended home invasion. Police traced Wint, a 34-year-old ex-con from Maryland, to Brooklyn, N.Y., and then back to Washington in the afternoon.

UPDATE II: Following the arrest, the Savopoulos family released a statement:

“We are thankful to law enforcement who have worked so diligently to bring about an arrest in this case. While it does not abate our pain, we hope that it begins to restore a sense of calm and security to our neighborhood and to our city. We are blessed to live in a community comprised of close circles of friends who have supported us and grieve with us.”

UPDATE III: D.C. Quadruple murder suspect Daron Dylon Wint once bragged ‘he was good with a knife’.

With a past record like this, it was only a matter of time before it escalated to murder.

Daron Dylon Wint, the man accused of slaying a wealthy family and a housekeeper inside their D.C. mansion, once bragged he was “good with a knife” and “not afraid of the police,” according to court records.

Wint, who was captured after a massive manhunt Thursday night, boasted about his ability to murder “easily” and has a pattern of alleged violence, records show.

He reportedly bragged while threatening to kill a woman and her infant daughter after he went to a nightclub with her in 2010, according to records.

“I’m going to come over there and kill you, your daughter and friends,” Wint told that woman, according to records. “The defendant advised he was good with a knife and could kill them easily and was not afraid of the police,” a detective said.

According to the Washington Post, Wint, who “became very violent,” threatened another woman and her family that “he will drop us one by one” over a parking dispute.

Again in 2010, Wint was arrested for carrying a 2-foot-long machete and a BB pistol outside the headquarters of American Iron Works, the company owned by Savvas Savopoulos.

Wint’s alleged violence began in his own family.

  •  In 2005, Wint was ordered to stay away from his father, stepmother and younger sister after allegedly threatening to shoot them.
  • His friends weren’t immune from his rages either; Wint punched and groped a former acquaintance and “drinking buddy” at the bar where she worked, alleged victim Jacinta Council told the Post. She eventually dropped the charged.
  • In 2006, he punched a housemate during a fight over loud music.
  • In 2006, he was arrested for stabbing a man.
  • Wint was arrested for assault charges at least three times in the late 2000s.

UPDATE IV: Police Say, Suspect in 4 gruesome D.C. killings might not have acted alone.

D.C. Police believe more than one person may have been involved in the gruesome slayings of the Savopoulos family and their housekeeper, and said the victims were held captive beginning the evening before they were killed.

The four were slain the afternoon of May 14, according to new documents filed in D.C. Superior Court, soon after an employee of Savvas Savopoulos dropped off $40,000 in cash at the home.

DeKalb County, GA Middle School Teacher Quinton Wright Arrested For Allowing Students to have Sex in his Classroom Closet

READING, WRITING AND SEX IN THE CLOSETS …

DeKalb County, GA middle school teacher Quinton Wright has been arrested for allowing students to have sex in his classroom closet. The 25 year old teacher and coach in Stone Mountain has been charged with with four misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Misdemeanor, really? According to accounts, the mother looked at her 14 year-old son’s phone and discovered shocking text messages between her son and Quinton Wright, a math teacher and coach at Champion Theme Middle School in Stone Mountain. The arrest warrant says Wright arranged times with students when the classroom would be empty and gave them condoms. The DeKalb County school system removed the 25 year old teacher from the classroom.

It is UNREAL that this is what gets hired to teach today’s children.

A DeKalb County middle school teacher and coach has been arrested after a mother claims he allowed students to have sex in his classroom closet.

Quinton Wright was arrested Tuesday afternoon and has been charged with four misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Channel 2’s Tom Regan spoke with the parent Monday, who said she couldn’t believe what was happening.

“I was in a state of disbelief when I read all these messages,” the mother said, asking to remain anonymous.

The mother told Regan she looked at her 14-year-old son’s phone and discovered a shocking exchange of text messages last Thursday between him and Quinton Wright, a math teacher and coach at Champion Theme Middle School in Stone Mountain.

“Basically he’s allowing the students to have sex in a storage room of his classroom,” the mother said.

9 Dead in Rival Motorcycle Gang Fight Shootout at Twin Peaks in Waco, TX (VIDEO) (Update: 3 of the 5 Motorcycle Gangs ID’d as the Bandidos, Cossacks & Scimitars)(Update: 192 Arrested)

THANKFULLY, NO POLICE OR CIVILIANS WERE INJURED IN THE SHOOTOUT …

As per the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office, there are 9 dead and 18 injured following a shootout between rival motorcycle gangs in Waco, Texas. The shooting took place Sunday afternoon just after 12 in the Twin Peaks restaurant located in the Central Texas Market Place. According to accounts, the fight first started inside the restaurant and spilled into the parking lot where the fight quickly escalated from fists and feet to chains, clubs and knives, then to gunfire. In the aftermath of the chaos, the police recovered more than 100 weapons from the scene. Trooper D.L. Wilson said officers arrested three men near the Cabella’s store after they seized their weapons. According to CNN, the fight may have started over a parking space. When asked if the police knew what the three gangs were that took part in the shooting, Sergeant Swanton said, “We do, but we’re not going to give them the privilege at this point of putting their names out there.” However, according to this one report, at least five were present and some of the gangs were fighting as allies. Police estimate that between 150-200 gang members were involved.

Rival motorcycle gangs turned a local restaurant into a shooting gallery Sunday afternoon and when the gunfire was over, nine people were dead and 17 were injured.

Waco police Sunday afternoon, assisted by Department of Public Safety troopers, police officers from several cities and deputies from the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office were surrounding the Twin Peaks Restaurant, in the Central Texas Market Place after several people were reported shot during a rival motorcycle gang fight, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

Police initially said three gangs were involved, but later said factions from at least five gangs took part in the melee.

Police and troopers were in the parking lot trying to secure the area and protect citizens when a fight broke out inside the restaurant and spilled into the parking lot.

Swanton said the fight quickly escalated from fists and feet to chains, clubs and knives, then to gunfire.

Gang members were shooting at each other and officers at the scene fired their weapons, as well, Swanton said.

Other patrons in Twin Peaks and some employees locked themselves in a freezer to escape the fight.

The scene at the Market Place between Don Carlos and Twin Peaks was absolute chaos, Swanton said.

“It is one of the most violent scene I’ve seen in my 34 years as a police officer in Waco,” Swanton said.

Swanton said officers recovered more than 100 weapons from the scene and there were several vehicles that had bullet holes in them.

Swanton said no officers and no civilians were injured.

Authorities had anticipated trouble and pre-positioned officers; however, it appears that the establishment wanted the business rather than working with the police. In a post shooting presser, District Attorney Abel Reyna said that trouble at Twin Peaks among rival bikers had been brewing for some time. Reyna said local police were on heightened alert in anticipation of trouble on Thursday nights, when Twin Peaks hosts a Biker Night. Twin Peaks might want to rethink that marketing plan.

“There were at least three rival gang groups here this morning for whatever reason. As they were here, we had officers on scene. We expected issues,” said Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton, a police spokesman. He later said there were at least five gangs.

UPDATE I: The Twin Peaks Restaurant had hosted motorcycle gang members in the past.

Are these people friggin insane, Bikers Night … there is a recipe for disaster. Hell, these folks didn’t even wait for Thursday, they decided to have a shootout on the Sabbath. This Twin Peaks in Waco advertizes Biker night as  “Get revved up and ready to go at Twin Peaks bike night.” Or shot. What’s Wednesday, Crips and Bloods night? Hey, maybe they can have Skin head Saturday where all of a white supremacist and antisemitic groups get two for 1 beers? Have I been absurd enough?  It is hard to believe that Twin Peaks corporate would allow this to go forward. This is not a local strip club catering to bikers, its a national chain.

Twin Peaks_Bike Night

The authorities made little effort on Sunday to conceal their frustration with the restaurant’s managers, who they said had previously been uncooperative in dealing with the Police Department’s security concerns about biker gatherings there.

“We have attempted to work with the local management of Twin Peaks to no avail,” Sergeant Swanton said. “They have continued to allow these bikers to gather here, and this is the culmination of what has occurred.” He added: “What happened here today could have been avoided if we had had management at a local establishment listen to their police department and assist us. They failed to do that.”

As recently as last week, the restaurant advertised “Bike Night” on Thursdays and promised “beers, bites and bikes at the hottest place in town!”

In a statement from Twin Peaks Restaurant chain:

A spokesman for the Twin Peaks Restaurant chain emphasized that the shooting had occurred outside the restaurant but declined to provide details about the police security concerns.

“We were shocked by the shootings that took place in the parking lot of our franchised restaurant in Waco and are fully reviewing all the circumstances surrounding it,” the spokesman, Rick Van Warner, said. “We are thankful no employees, guests or police were injured in this senseless violence outside the restaurant, and our sympathies are with the families of those killed.”

UPDATE II: Waco Tribune – Multiple law enforcement sources confirmed that the Bandidos and Cossacks biker gangs were at the center of the incident.

There were 5 motorcycle gangs involved in the shooting. Two of them at the heart of the trouble were the rival gangs, the Cossacks and the Bandidos. The third motorcycle gang involved in the shooting was the  Scimitars Motorcycle Club, who are aligned with the Cossacks Motorcycle Club against the Bandidos. The other two motorcycle gangs have yet to be identified.

At least two of the gangs were trying to do some recruiting in the area Sunday, and Twin Peaks was a known place for that kind of activity, Swanton said. Multiple law enforcement sources confirmed that the Bandidos and Cossacks biker gangs were at the center of the incident.

UPDATE III: 192 arrested in motorcycle gang shooting in Waco, TX.

Some 192 people have been arrested and charged with engaging in organized crime in connection to the deadly shooting that broke out between five biker gangs at a Twin Peaks in Waco. Under a Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission mandate, the restaurant is shut down for the next seven days as the investigation continues early Monday morning into the shooting that left nine people dead and at least 18 people injured — an investigation that has included biker gang death threats made against uniformed officers.

“Threats have been made to kill our uniformed officers,” said Waco Police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton early Monday morning, who added that the people arrested could be looking at capital murder charges. “This was a true gang fight.”
