Today is the 13th anniversary since that fateful Fall day on September 11, 2001 where the United States of America changed forever … Please Don’t Ever Forget.

Today, bells toll and a moment of silence commemorate the exact times that the planes piloted by Islamic terrorists crashed into both towers the World Trade Center in New York City, into the Pentagon in Washington, DC and into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The bells toll to remember the times that both towers fell in NYC and thousands of innocent people were killed who’s only crime was going to work and the heroes that rushed into the buildings and never came home.

Have you forgotten that September morning? In many ways it seems that many have. That is until we are attacked again, like in Benghazi, Libya September 11, 2012. A terror attacked passed off as being blamed on a anti- Islamic video tape by our government which we pretty much know is a lie. Have you forgotten? It seems like a country once again did until suddenly they received a wake up call from a jayvee terrorist group known as ISIS. There will always be those who wish to destroy America simple because, we are America. God bless all those who lost their lives and to the families, loved ones, friends and those who have been personally affected by the terror acts of 9-11. Its been 13 years, I miss you.

However,  today is meant to honor the memories and the lives of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and the heroes that inspired a nation. It has been 13 years to the day of that fateful September morning in 2001 where in an instant our lives and world changed forever. Nearly 3000 people lost their lives in NYC at the World Trade Center, in Washington, DC as flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon and in a field in Shanksville, PA where heroes aboard Flight 93 took matters into their hands and said “NO to terrorism”. DO YOU REMEMBER? Please I beg you, NEVER FORGET.

I understand the reason why solemn services are held and the bells toll to remember the times in which these horrific terror acts were perpetrated on the United States, but do not ever forget the images, the sounds and the smells of what actually took place. It should be carved into the minds and souls of all Americans. If it is not, if we forget, we will be destined to repeat history.

Eleven Missing Libyan Jetliners Raise Fears of Suicide Plane Attacks on Anniversary of 9/11

Remember when Barack Hussein Obama said that the “dark shadow of tyranny was lifted” from Libya upon Gaddafi’s death … More like trading one tyranny for another and a greater threat to the US.

Last month, Islamist militias in Libya seized the Tripoli International Airport and took control of nearly a dozen commercial jetliners and Western intelligence agencies recently issued a warning that the jets could be used in terrorist attacks across North Africa. A senior State Department counter-terrorism official declined to comment on reports of the stolen jetliners. And a second State department official sought to downplay the reports. “We can’t confirm that.” That is code for, yes they are missing and we don’t have a clue as to where they are. As reported at Breitbart.com, on Monday, Libyan officials announced that their capital city in Tripoli had been completely lost to Islamist forces. Libyan PM Abdullah al-Thani, who recently stepped down from his role, said: “Ministry and state offices in Tripoli have been occupied by armed militias who are preventing government workers from entering and are threatening their superiors,” explaining that he was “trying to ensure the continuity of services from afar.”

Islamist militias in Libya took control of nearly a dozen commercial jetliners last month, and western intelligence agencies recently issued a warning that the jets could be used in terrorist attacks across North Africa.

Intelligence reports of the stolen jetliners were distributed within the U.S. government over the past two weeks and included a warning that one or more of the aircraft could be used in an attack later this month on the date marking the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against New York and Washington, said U.S. officials familiar with the reports.

“There are a number of commercial airliners in Libya that are missing,” said one official. “We found out on September 11 what can happen with hijacked planes.”

The official said the aircraft are a serious counterterrorism concern because reports of terrorist control over the Libyan airliners come three weeks before the 13th anniversary of 9/11 attacks and the second anniversary of the Libyan terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi

The day before the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, former President Bill Clinton spoke in Australia to about 30 business leaders during a lunch and stated on having passed on a chance to kill Osama bin Laden. A tape of Clinton’s comments were presented to Australia’s “Sky News” channel.

“And I’m just saying, you know, if I were Osama bin Laden — he’s very smart guy, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about him — and I nearly got him once,” the former president reportedly says on the tape, to laughs. “I nearly got him. And I could have killed him, but I would have to destroy a little town called Kandahar in Afghanistan and kill 300 innocent women and children, and then I would have been no better than him. And so I didn’t do it.”

Just a reminder to Bill Clinton, you were the President of the United States and supposed to protect the lives of Americans, not worry about how the world would feel about you had you taken out Bin Laden with possible collateral damage.

Hmm, He would have had to destroy a little town called Kandahar in Afghanistan? You mean the one with a population of  1,151,100? So what would you have had to do again Mr. President? BTW, Clinton did not just have one chance to kill Osama Bin Laden, he had many.

The 9-11 Memorial Has a Gift Shop, This is Not Only Absurd, It’s Tasteless

TASTELESS …

The 9-11 museum at Ground Zero in New York City tells the grim story of that fateful September morning in 2001 when terrorists attacked the United States and changed our lives forever. The museum contains artifacts and exhibits that pay tribute to the innocent people that were killed that day and the first responders, police and firefighter heroes who ran into the buildings and paid the ultimate sacrifice. There is also about 8,000 unidentified body parts stored out of sight in a “remains repository” at the museum’s underground home. How does something like this have a gift shop? It is not only absurd, it is completely tasteless and offensive the the families and  friends who lost loved ones that day. It just seems so wrong, but the museum does need funds to exist. The Gothamist points out that the Holocaust Museum have gift shops as ways of funding.

It also has a gift shop.

The 9/11 museum’s cavernous boutique offers a vast array of souvenir goods. For example: FDNY, NYPD and Port Authority Police T-shirts ($22) and caps ($19.95); earrings molded from leaves and blossoms of downtown trees ($20 to $68); cop and firefighter charms by Pandora and other jewelers ($65); “United We Stand” blankets.

There are bracelets, bowls, buttons, mugs, mousepads, magnets, key chains, flags, pins, stuffed animals, toy firetrucks, cellphone cases, tote bags, books and DVDs.

Even FDNY vests for dogs come in all sizes.

Among the museum shop’s specially designed items:

-?A black and white “Darkness Hoodie” printed with an image of the Twin Towers. The pullover, like other “Darkness” items, bears the words “In Darkness We Shine Brightest.” Price: $39.

-?Silk scarves printed with 1986 photos by Paula Barr, including a panoramic view of the Manhattan skyline. Another depicts “lunchtime on the WTC Plaza.” They go for $95 each.

I just cannot see some one wearing a 9-11 hoodie as a way to remember and understand what 9-11 means. I have to second the comment from Mediaite, “It’s not because the money is going to a good cause that a 9/11 gift shop makes sense, although I’m just as perplexed as everyone else about exactly who it is that will want to buy any of this shit, it’s because this memorial is meant to be a symbol of what 9/11 represents.”
