Gallup Poll: Americans’ Satisfaction With U.S. Gov’t Drops to New Low of 18% … 81% Dissatisfied

Imagine if People actually voted the way they felt rather than just for a party … With the record levels of American dissatisfaction with the current government, there is no reason why all incumbent politicians should not be primary challenged.

Can things get much worse for incumbent politicians? A recent Gallup poll has Americans at an all time low for government satisfaction as it drops to 18%. You have to try to get numbers this low. Across parties, Republicans have a 8% satisfaction rate, down 3%, Independents have a 15% satisfaction rate, down 11%, and Democrats have a 28% rate, down a whopping 26%. Of course I am trying to figure out who is the 18% who actually is satisfied with our government?

Eighteen percent of Americans are satisfied with the way the nation is being governed, down 14 percentage points from the 32% recorded last month before the partial government shutdown began. This is the lowest government satisfaction rating in Gallup’s history of asking the question dating back to 1971.

The real question that needs to be asked is whether this will affect the 2014 and 2016 elections and if incumbent politicians should be extremely concerned.

This Gallup poll is right in line with the recent NBC/WSJ Poll, where 60% of Americans Say That Every Member of Congress Should Be Fired.

Nancy Pelosi Says, I Don’t Want to Be Speaker Again … “No, that’s not my thing. I did that.”

Nancy Pelosi says,  I Don’t Want to Be Speaker Again … it’s not my bag, baby.

Nancy Pelosi, otherwise known as SanFran Nan, told the National Journal that she was not interested in being the Speaker of the House again, been there done that. We can only hope that Pelosi or any other Democrat for that fact does not become Speaker in 2014 or in the next decade. It was Pelosi and the Democrat controlled House and Senate along with President Barack Obama who brought us the train wreck known as Obamacare and the disastrous job recovery. Good grief, do we really need more of, “we need to pass the bill in order for you to find out what is in it.”

NJ It’s become something of a pastime in D.C. for people to feel bad for Speaker John Boehner for having an unwieldy caucus. Do you feel for him?

PELOSI I don’t comment on their caucus, their leadership, or the rest of it. He’s the speaker of the House. I respect the job. The position that he holds is a very exalted one. I wish his members would respect his position as much as I do. But if the purpose of your call is for me to get in sniping at the Republicans on how they do their business, I will talk about how it affects the American people.

NJ Do you want to be speaker again?

PELOSI No, that’s not my thing. I did that.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi sang the praises of Obamacare?

UPDATE I: The Hill is reporting that Pelosi’s office is pushing back on the reports that the former Speaker does not want the gavel again. I beg you America, do not let this woman or any Democrat near the Speaker’s gavel.

National Journal ran an update Friday afternoon indicating that the actual question was worded slighted less directly — “Do you wish for the chance for the Speaker position again?” — but the publication did not change the text of the article.

“The recorded audio file supports the edited transcript,” the magazine said.

Pelosi’s office said the difference in wording is significant, and Hammill argued that Pelosi was somewhat dismissive of the question because it suggested she was fighting to win back the majority for individual gain. The fight, Hammill said, is much larger than her.

“Leader Pelosi is working hard to win back a Democratic Majority and has long answered press questions by saying what’s important is Democrats winning the House back,” he said.

Sean Hannity Says … “I’m Done with Republicans If They Don’t Fight” Obamacare … I will Not Vote, I Will Not Support Anybody Who Does not Have the Courage to Stand Up on this Issue

Last night Sean Hannity drew the line in the sand with the present establishment Republican Party during an interview with Conservative radio talk host Mark Levin. Hannity stated that he would not further support the Republican party if they did not fight Obamacare. Hannity stated that he would no longer support or vote for Republicans who would not stand up to such an important and dangerous issue as Obamacare. Hannity called the actions of the Republicans cowardly. I would have to agree. Obamacare is hated more and more by Americans as they learn more about it. Do you think that the GOP could figure out that even Obama knows Obamacare is a loser as he delayes the implementation of parts of it until after the 2014 midterms, so not to adversely affect the election for Democrats.

“Now if this is not the issue to revitalize the Republican Party then they’re letting this opportunity go and I would argue that conservatives like myself and yourself – I’m done with the Republicans if they don’t fight here. I will not vote, I will not support, I will not endorse anybody that doesn’t have the courage to stand up on this issue.

Obamacare is an epic failure and the GOP does not have the guts to do the right thing for America. They pass their votes in the House that mean nothing, but when it comes time to defund it, they cower in the corner.  Tehey are afraid they will get blamed. Blames for what, ridding us of this train-wreck called Obamacare? Have you seen the polls lately GOP? Wake up Republicans,  even the labor unions want no part of it!

VIDEO Hat Tip – The Gateway Pundit

Maybe it really is time for a new Third Part and the GOP has no one to blame but themselves. You are only in power in the House because of the Conservative and Tea Party vote from the 2010 election. Ever since then, you have run from the very ideal, standards and principles of those who put you in power. Time to wake up you gutless wonders and get a spine.

Tennessee: State Rep. Joe Carr Announces Tea Party Primary Challenge to Republican Incumbent Sen. Lamar Alexander

Hey Tennessee … Its time you have Representation that reflects the views of your state, not a RINO.

Tennessee State Representative Joe Carr has announced that he is going to primary challenge Republican incumbent US Senator Lamar Alexander next year. Carr announced his primary challenge to Alexander on Ralph Bristol’s conservative talk show on 99.7 WTN. Carr was running against the embattled U.S. Rep. Scott DesJarlais for the GOP nomination in the state’s 4th congressional district; however, has decided to shift his focus to defeating moderate and “the most liberal” member of the Tennessee Republican delegation. It was anticipated that some one would challenge Alexander as the 73 year old Alexander’s views hardly reflect the Republican “red” Volunteer state these days. As reported at News Channel 5, Carr, of Lascassas, said “He’s [Alexander]getting into the race because Alexander is “too liberal” for Tennessee”.

State Rep. Joe Carr announced today he will challenge U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander in next year’s Republican primary.

In his announcement on Ralph Bristol’s conservative talk show on 99.7 WTN, Carr called Alexander “the most liberal” member of the state’s Republican delegation.

Insiders had anticipated a tea party candidate would challenge the 73-year-old Alexander, who has become a target of those from the far right.

So who will the current conservative politicians in Tennessee support? Many of them pander to the Tea Party, well its time to put up or shut up. And that means you US Rep. Marsha Blackburn.  A vote for Joe Carr and his primary challenge to Lamar Alexander would show a clear message to the establishment Republicans who seem more concerned with maintaining power than they do acting like Republicans with GOP principles.   He has my vote.

What’s Another White House Obamacare Delay to a Trainwreck … Out-Of-Pocket Expense Caps Waived Until 2015

CAN’T WE JUST DELAY OBAMACARE PERMANENTLY!!!

What a shock, another promise of Obamacare turns out to be a falsehood and forces yet another delay in the train wreck. One of the selling points for ObamaCare was that it placed mandates on insurance companies to keep out-of-pocket costs down for consumers. Guess what, the Out of pocket caps have been delayed until 2015 by the Obama White House. What a coincidence, another Obamacare delay after the 2014 midterm elections. At what point do we just admit that Obamacare cannot be implemented and it is the disaster that we knew from the outset of this law that was forced down the throats of Americans by Democrats.

This is the reason why 57% of Americans polled believe OBAMACARE IS A JOKE!!!

Obamacare

Now comes word that another costly provision of the health law—its caps on out-of-pocket insurance costs—will be delayed for one more year.

According to the Congressional Research Service, as of November 2011, the Obama administration had missed as many as one-third of the deadlines, specified by law, under the Affordable Care Act. Here are the details on the latest one.

Obamacare contains a blizzard of mandates and regulations that will make health insurance more costly. One of the most significant is its caps on out-of-pocket insurance costs, such as co-pays and deductibles. Section 2707(b) of the Public Health Service Act, as added by Obamacare, requires that “a group health plan and a health insurance issuer offering group or individual health insurance coverage may not establish lifetime limits on the dollar value of benefits for the any participant or beneficiary.” Annual limits on cost-sharing are specified by Section 1302(c) of the Affordable Care Act; in addition, starting in 2014, deductibles are limited to $2,000 per year for individual plans, and $4,000 per year for family plans.

There’s no such thing as a free lunch. If you ban lifetime limits, and mandate lower deductibles, and cap out-of-pocket costs, premiums have to go up to reflect these changes. And unlike a lot of the “rate shock” problems we’ve been discussing, these limits apply not only to individually-purchased health insurance, but also to employer-sponsored coverage.

Hot Air reminds us that the cap on out-of-pocket expenses was supposed to be the best part of ObamaCare for consumers. Of course all it was going to do was shift the expense to an insured’s health care premium.
