Romney Takes Lead in Gallup Poll Over Obama 49% to 47% Among Likely Voters

More good news for Mitt Romney from the Gallup poll. Romney is up by 2% over Obama, 49% to 47% among likely voters. It is just one of many polls that have seen Obama seize the lead in a national poll or battle ground state poll since the Presidential debate. The polling trend is obviously on the side of Mitt Romney. Sister Toldja has the reason reason why Romney has surged into the lead … 67 million people got to see the real Mitt Romney, while they also got to see that Obama really is an “empty chair” without his protective media.

Mitt Romney holds a slight edge over Barack Obama — 49% to 47% — in Gallup’s initial “likely voter” estimate, encompassing interviews from Oct. 2-8. Preferences tilt the opposite way among registered voters, 49% vs. 46% in Obama’s favor.

As is almost always the case in recent elections, likely voters at this point are more likely to support the Republican candidate than are all registered voters. Gallup’s estimate of the vote choices of likely voters shows that Romney gains three percentage points among likely voters compared with the total registered voter pool, and Obama loses two points.

At this point, Romney voters are somewhat more likely to respond that they will definitely vote, that they have thought a lot about the election, and that they are more familiar with where people in their local area vote. These attitudes indicate that Romney at this juncture will benefit from higher turnout on Election Day among his supporters than will Obama. These patterns could change closer to Election Day as more voters become engaged or if Republicans’ or Democrats’ enthusiasm for voting is altered by campaign events.

Hot Air reminds us that Romney is now out in the lead too in the RCP poll of polls.

Rasmussen: Romney Now Leads Obama in Swingstate Polling 49% to 47%

Don’t look now but there is more poor polling data for President Barack Obama. This time in the key and all important battleground states. According to the most recent Rasmussen Battle Ground tracking poll, Mitt Romney now leads Barack Obama 49% to 47%. What a reversal of political fortune for Romney following his dominate debate performance over Obama.

The full Swing State tracking update offers Rasmussen Reader subscribers a combined view of the results from 11 key states won by President Obama in 2008 and thought to be competitive in 2012. The states collectively hold 146 Electoral College votes and include Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. If you do not already have a Rasmussen

In the 11 swing states, Mitt Romney earns 49% support to Obama’s 47%. One percent (1%) likes another candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided.

Another Failed Obama Green Energy Venture … Michigan Battery Plant Places Workers on Furlough. Another $150 Million Wasted

Well there you go again … Obama picks another ‘green” energy loser …

Remember during the recent Presidential debate when Mitt Romney stated the following, “Mr President, you just don’t pick winners and losers, you pick losers VIDEO). Well, Obama has done it again, this time it is a Michigan battery plant that was given $150 million of tax payer dollars at the Compact Power plant as workers are placed on a rotating furlough.

From Fox News comes the following, ‘Plant that got $150M in taxpayer money to make Volt batteries furloughs workers’.

President Obama touted it in 2010 as evidence “manufacturing jobs are coming back to the United States,” but two years later, a Michigan hybrid battery plant built with $150 million in taxpayer funds is putting workers on furlough before a single battery has been produced.

Workers at the Compact Power manufacturing facilities in Holland, Mich., run by LG Chem, have been placed on rotating furloughs, working only three weeks per month based on lack of demand for lithium-ion cells.

As the Lonely Conservative opines, remember when Obama was touting that “green energy” jobs boom? Consider that among many of Obama’s 2008 promises to fix the economy in the where are they now files.

Post Debate Bounce … PEW Poll Has Romney Ahead of Obama 49% to 45%, Erasing an 8 Point Deficit

Who was that again who said Presidential debates do not matter? Oh yea, the bias in the tank liberal MSM for Obama.  President Barack Obama is learning the hard way that they certainly do. In the latest of post debate polls, the PEW poll has GOP candidate Mitt Romney now in the lead over Obama, 49% to 45%. Romney has erased ab 8% prior debate deficit and now leads by 4%, a 12% swing. 89% of Republicans believed that Romney won the recent Presidential debate and more importantly, 72% of Independents did as well.

In turn, Romney has drawn even with Obama in the presidential race among registered voters (46% to 46%) after trailing by nine points (42% to 51%) in September. Among likely voters, Romney holds a slight 49% to 45% edge over Obama. He trailed by eight points among likely voters last month.

Fully 66% of registered voters say Romney did the better job in last Wednesday’s debate, compared with just 20% who say Obama did better. A majority (64%) of voters who watched the debate describe it as mostly informative; just 26% say it was mostly confusing.

Check out at Hot Air the change in the demographic vote of men and women toward Romney, Mitt is now tied with Obama for the women vote.

What a difference a debate makes and more importantly, what a difference it makes for Romney to introduce himself to America and be juxtaposed to Obama and allowed to present his own ideas rather than being falsely dictated by Obama attack ads.  America saw for themselves that Romney was intelligent, rational and had ideas to fix the economy and work with others to do it. America saw an” empty chair” in Obama as he failed miserably.

Gallup Poll Has Election a Tie Between Romney and Obama, Was +5 for Obama Predebate

Who says that debates do not change the polls? Those pundits who made such comments before the Romney-Obama ‘Duel in Denver’ debate are eating their words today. The Gallup poll has the race dead even at 47% a piece.

Gallup now has it a tie between Romney and Obama, following the debate. Prior to the debate, the Gallup poll had Obama ahead by a +5. How bad was it for Obama in the debate? Not only did Republicans and Independents overwhelmingly believe that Romney mopped the floor with Obama, but a majority of Democrats thought Romney won as well. OUCH!
