John Kerry; The Outside the DC Beltway Man for 2008

You just can’t make this stuff up. John Kerry, “Mr. DC Outsider“. The People’s candidate. The every-man man. Now before I stop laughing myself silly let me try to put this in context. This is actually a link from a story from the Boston Globe, not ScrappleFace or The Onion.

Has the botox paralyzed his mind as well? Here we have a 20+ year Senator who has done nothing of any accomplishment to pass legislation of anything of any merit. During the last Presidential campaign and Democratic primaries missed vote after vote in the Senate. John Kerry, a man who after more than 20 years of being a politician in Washington, DC is know for one thing; “He voted for it before he voted against it.”

The Boston Globe article goes on to say:

”Washington seems more and more out of touch with the difficulties the average family is facing,” Kerry told the crowd of about 150 last week in Baton Rouge. ”Go out of here, take some anger and a little bit of outrage at the fact that Washington is not dealing with the real concerns of our country.”

Well shouldn’t Kerry know this first hand? He is one of the guilty. John Kerry a man who has his pulse on the American people. I guess Senator Kerry forgot about this. Or this or even this.

The New England Republican adds some greats points to the mix:

Even worse, he is now trying to portray himself as a Washington outsider. This quote from a Tufts University professor hits the nail on the head:

”He’s the last politician that people are going to buy as an outsider. That dog won’t hunt,”
Here is a quote from one of his “loyal supporters”:

‘I’d support him in a heartbeat, but I want someone electable, …’We haven’t had much luck with Northern liberals.”

With support like that it’s no wonder the latest polls show that Hillary would trounce him. But that won’t stop him, he has no intention of going away because he is nothing more than a egotistical spoiled rich brat that thinks he is owed the presidency.

How does Kerry think that he has a chance with any form of credibility when his basic premise of running as something he isn’t is a complete and total lie? Oh, wait a minute … the senior & junior senator from Massachusetts have been doing it for years.

Republican Wishful Thinking from the Socialist Republic of Vermont

Republicans can only dream that the Democratic party would not support Socialist, Bernie Sanders in his Senate run for retiring Jumping Jim Jefford’s seat. If the VT Democrats party ever attempted anything so stupid, Jeffords would run anyhow, split the Democrats and liberal vote and have a Republican walk into the Senate seat. For that reason alone, it will never happen.

Conventional political wisdom holds that Sanders will get the backing of Democrats, support he has seen in almost all of his seven congressional races. Only once did a Democrat formally oppose Sanders, but that candidate did not have the full support of the state party.

To date, Sanders has received favorable comments from Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-NV, and Sen. Charles Schumer, D-NY, who is heading up the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. However, there has been no official support offered.

Any delay in support for Sanders by the Democratic party is most likely done more as a ploy to entice the Republican party to spend money and resources in VT rather than thinking of it what it really is; a lost cause for the Republican party. Unless there is a three way race in this state, Republicans have as much a chance of winning this Senate seat in VT as does Howard Dean making Southerners believe that The Book of Job is from the New Testament.

In other words, it is just unfortunately not going to happen.

Harry Reid; Where Is Your Position of Strength on the Filibuster

So a couple days after Harry Reid decided to call President George W. Bush a “loser,” now The Senate Minority Leader wants to offer an olive branch with judicial nominees.

Griffith replaced a third, Hispanic lawyer Miguel Estrada, who withdrew his nomination for the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia after Democrats filibustered his nomination for two years.

Griffith was the Senate’s general counsel during President Clinton’s impeachment and became Brigham Young University’s general counsel in 2003.

All we seem to hear about is how Republican will be made to pay by pushing the issue of the “nuclear option”. That’s rather interesting because I happen to feel the Democrats are more worse off over the fact that Senator Reid can’t act like a leader of a party and make such comments like “I think this guy is a loser“, when referring to the President. Also, if Reid is coming from such a position of strength why does he continually want to make a deal? Hardly seems like the thing one would do when one has the upper hand.

For a political party that claims that the polls are behind them this is an awful bizarre way to act. Funny though, I believe we have heard this Democratic knee buckling before.

A Collectors Dream: Pope John Paul Baseball Cards

What are the odds of this happening? Finding a Pope John Paul II card in a pack of Topps baseball trading cards. It certainly beats a finger in your chili or skin in your fast food sandwich.

However, before one goes auctioning it off on eBay one may want to look at the bigger picture and the value of such an opportunity that can not be put in dollar form. Was it a sign from God? If it were me, I think I’d keep that card for that special moment in time.

Democratic Hated; Trickle Down Theory

Is is any wonder that the Democratic minions are as hate filled and over the top with their visceral display of contempt for President George W. Bush? They have such classy role models to learn from. Take the Senate Democratic minority leader for example. While the President is overseas trying to repair and deal with the strained relations with the Europeans, Harry Reid decides to take cheap shots at the President and bless us with his insightful wisdom that, “I think this guy is a loser.”

“The man’s father is a wonderful human being,” Reid said in response to a question about President Bush’s policies. “I think this guy is a loser.

“I think President Bush is doing a bad job,” he added to a handful of chuckles.

Republican National Communications Director Brian Jones issued a statement calling the senator’s comments “a sad development but not surprising from the leader of a party devoid of optimism, ideas or solutions to the issues people care about most.”

After the statement was released, Reid phoned the Review-Journal to acknowledge he thought he crossed the line.

No kidding. With the President overseas and about to embark on this important European trip the words are rather puzzling and the timing even more so. One can only come to the opinion Senator Reid that you want the President to fail and will do anything to accomplish it. When the President fails, the United States fails. Is that what you and the Democratic Party are after? Could you and the Democratic Party look any more petty or small? Is is any wonder that the Party of “no ideas” and continual “juvenile” hate does not win National elections? Harry you may want to check and see what your predecessor is doing these days before you decide to spout off and start acting like him.
