Bible Abuse Courtesy of ScrappleFace
Who would have thought that mishandling of the Koran at GITMO detention center would have caused Saudi Arabia’s leader to call for similar probes of Bible handling in detention facilities throughout the Muslim world?
Only ScrappleFace would have dreamed this up.
MoveOn.Org Protests …. WHOOPS!
When rabid liberal protect goes awry.
MoveOn.Org in their political haste to protest the office of U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Brighton forgot one minor and what turned out to be important tidbit of information. They were all set to protest Representative Rogers because of his ties to embattled House Majority Leader Tom Delay.
The one thing they forgot … THEY HAD THE WRONG MIKE ROGERS.
Baahahahaha.
The group came armed with financial records from a Web site that detailed various financial contributions between the two Republicans, including a $20,000 campaign contribution from DeLay to Rogers as well as a $5,000 contribution by Rogers to DeLay’s legal defense fund.
However, the Mike Rogers involved was not the Michigan congressman, but rather Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Ala.
What made it even better was the following:
It’s unfortunate that they made an error,” said Bill Rittenberg, a protest organizer.
Democrat Bob Alexander, who ran against Michigan’s Rogers in 2004, also participated in the event.
“It’s unfortunate that we had this inaccuracy,” Alexander said. “We didn’t attempt to mislead anyone.”
Yes, we at MoveOn.Org do not try to mislead we’re just to stupid and lazy to check the facts ourselves.
I like Lorie’s take on it from PoliPundit.
I mean, all those white, Christian, Republican men do look alike, don’t they? One Congressman Rogers is from Michigan and the other from Alabama. So close. Anyone could have made the mistake. I really feel sorry for the huge crowd of twenty protesters that showed up.
Yeah Lorie, all 20 of them. You see one monolithic Republican named Rogers, you’ve seen them all. I guess not.
The White “Ho”
Oh my, this is way too funny. So much for MSM editing. So what does MSNBC really think of Norah O’Donnell?

Another Arrest in the War on Terror
A father and son are arrested in Lodi, CA this morning and charged with “making false statements of material fact within the jurisdiction of the FBI,” as part of an ongoing FBI probe. Also taken in to custody was a Muslim leader in conjunction with this FBI terrorism probe .
(CNN) — Federal agents searched the homes of two Islamic leaders in Lodi, California, and have made four arrests since Sunday, part of an ongoing terrorism investigation, according to the FBI and witnesses.
Two of those arrested are top Muslim leaders in Lodi, including one who publicly condemned the September 11, 2001, terror attacks and issued a declaration of peace with Christian and Jewish leaders in Lodi three years ago.
The other two were a father and son, identified as 47-year-old Umer Hayat and 22-year-old Hamid Hayat, who allegedly lied about the younger man’s attendance at an al Qaeda training camp in Pakistan, according to the FBI affidavit unsealed by a federal court Tuesday evening.
The affidavit states that both Hayats, who are U.S. citizens, are charged with “making false statements of material fact within the jurisdiction of the FBI.”
As per Fox News, the son admitted to receiving terrorist training.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A father and a son are among four men who have been detained in a terrorism investigation in Northern California.
The son allegedly received terrorist training and funding from the father, an ice cream truck driver, so he could carry out attacks on hospitals and large food stores in the United States.
An FBI affidavit says Hamid Hayat first denied any link to terror camps, but then told agents he attended an Al Qaeda camp in Pakistan for 6 months.
Federal law enforcement officials who spoke on condition of anonymity said authorities were trying to determine if they had uncovered a terror cell in Lodi, which is an agricultural community 40 miles south of Sacramento.
Rusty at the Jawa Report has a tremendous post on this story. Well worth the read.

The arrests were made just after the son was discovered aboard a San Francisco-bound plane even though his name appeared on a “No Fly” list of suspected extremists.
The arrests came days after the younger man was discovered aboard a San Francisco-bound plane even though his name appeared on a “No Fly” list of suspected extremists.
At the time, according to an FBI affidavit, Hayat was returning to the U.S. after having visited Pakistan.
According to the affidavit, he told agents that after attending Al Qaeda training camps in Pakistan in 2003 and 2004, he was given his pick of where to carry out his terrorist mission.
“Hamid advised that he specifically requested to come to the United States to carry out his jihadi mission,” the affidavit says. “Potential targets for attack would include hospitals and large food stores.”

The Millionaire Battle for the Governorship of NJ
The stage is set for the New Jersey State Governor’s race in November 2005. Doug Forrester defeats former Jersey City Mayor Bret Schundler to win the GOP Primary in the Garden State. This sets up the millionaire battle between Democrat NJ Senator Jon Corzine and millionaire business man Doug Forrester in November. I can only imagine the unprecedented amount of monies that will be spent on this campaign.
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — A millionaire businessman won New Jersey’s Republican gubernatorial primary yesterday and earned the right to face Democratic Sen. Jon Corzine in November — the state’s first race for governor since James McGreevey resigned in a homosexual scandal.
Doug Forrester edged former Jersey City Mayor Bret Schundler after spending millions of his own fortune to finance a campaign that took aim at the state’s highest-in-the-nation property taxes.
Mr. Corzine, with 88 percent of the vote, easily won the Democratic primary after facing only token opposition.
The New Jersey contest is one of only two governor’s races being decided this year. The other is in Virginia.
The winner in November will succeed Democrat Richard J. Codey, who as president of the state Senate became acting governor when Mr. McGreevey stepped down. Mr. Codey decided not to run for a full term.
Let the games begin. After the Democratic Torricelli/Lautenberg Senate switch in the NJ Senate run in 2002 and being that this is NJ politics, no truer words may have ever been spoken.
The 1754 Blog seems to think its a numbers money game as well.
