RSSObama Advisor David Axelrod Calls Miss California a Dog … Since Obama has Same Position on Gay Marriage is he a Dog too?
Didn’t President Barack Obama make the following comment at Notre Dame University today regarding working together and not demonizing the other side? I guess his senior advisor did not get a copy of the speech. Because referring to another as a dog is praising them. Once again, it’s a just words.
The question, then _ the question then is how do we work through these conflicts? Is it possible for us to join hands in common effort? As citizens of a vibrant and varied democracy, how do we engage in vigorous debate? How does each of us remain firm in our principles, and fight for what we consider right, without, as Father John said, demonizing those with just as strongly held convictions on the other side?
David Axelrod, the senior advisor to President Barack Obama referred to Carrie Prejan, Miss California as a dog. Does that mean that Axelrod thinks Barack Obama is a dog as well? After all, Obama and Miss California have the same stance on gay marriage. However, to liberals, this isn’t mean or demeaning, it’s funny. Because they said so.
More tolerance from the Obama Administration. Senor Obama advisor went in NPR’s “Wait, Wait … don’t tell me,” and called Miss California, Carrie Prejan, a dog. It’s nice to know that so many in Barack’s posse got his memo on tolerance and changing the attitudes in Washington.
Finally, there was the conversation weaving between, of all things, Miss California U.S.A. Carrie Prejean, the same-sex marriage opponent who the panel had already mocked at length, and Bo, the Obama family’s Portuguese water dog.
When Mr. Axelrod was asked how involved he was in the selection of Bo, he jokingly answered that he “only got called in for the final three.”
But as Mr. Axelrod was trying to set the record straight – he actually was not consulted – Mr. Sagal asked about the two runner-ups.
“One was Miss California,” Mr. Axelrod cracked to the audience’s laughter.
As the Gateway Pundit points out, it is not the first time that the WH has bashed a young, attractive, conservative woman.
The American Thinker asks the question that hopefully many will be asking in 2010 and 2012:
How much longer will this country be able to endure the utter contempt these progressives have for traditional American values? When will conservatives begin to stand up for this young woman and the values she is defending?

Even if all were true that you claim which is not, Obama has stated that you are not supposed to demonize. Maybe he should start with his own staff following his words.

I’ve been thinking about something, when she said that this is a free country and same sex marriages are are personal choice queen blogger hilton called her a dumb bitc% because it is not allowed in the U.S.. He was wrong, at that time four states allowed it. Marriage is a state regulation anyway not federal, so infacto it is allowed in the united STATES, so who is actually the dumb bitc%?

Hey Hope if the Obama people are going to pass judgement on people based on looks then Michelle is fair game. In comparison to Miss Prejean, Michelle is a DOG!!!! As far as Miss Prejean is concerned she may not be a Rhodes Scholar, but she speaks her mind and is certainly clear enough in her speech and in the message she relays to be easily understood. What part of what Miss Prejean has said do you not understand? Maybe the problem is not the messenger but rather the receiver of that message, Comprende!!

You ask “What doesn’t make her Christian?” A Christian woman wouldn’t enter a beauty pageant and especially one where it was required to wear a bikini. Christians are to “crucify” the flesh and deny the self. A Christian wouldn’t allow herself to be the object of others lust. If it’s about beauty, then why require wearing bikinis?

To be particular, Mr Axelrod did not refer to Miss California as a dog. He referred to the dog as Miss California. Slight difference. Doesn’t mean the joke was compelling. It wasn’t. Furthermore, Axelrod didn’t “demonize” her. He uh, dog-ified her, which I’d like to think is not quite as extreme as demonizing, at least in the eternal sense of how many staunch Christians portray David Axelrod.
One other point about “Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me!” for incensed people who’ve only ever listened to this one excerpt of one broadcast prior to demonizing…no I can do better…uh, critiquing the show. Regular listeners are aware that President Obama’s political position on gay marriage matches Miss Prejean’s. Host Peter Sagal pointed it out two weeks earlier when Miss California entered the show’s radar.
Obama is very intelligent and successful leader he can’t be compare to dog. what ever his position on gay topic he has solid ground to stand upon.
