Patriotic School Children: 77% Say Children Should Say Pledge At School Every Day and Say “Under God”

According to a recent Rasmussen Report, an overwhelming majority of Americans say Pledge+of_allegiancethey want school children to say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning at school. 77% of American voters say that school children should say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning in school. Eighty-two percent (82%) say the words “under God” should remain in the Pledge  It would appear that we have a patriotic country after all. So who is it that is out of touch with America and its values when they try to prevent children from reciting the Pledge of Allegiance?

Seventy-seven percent (77%) of U.S. voters say school children should say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning at school, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Just 13% say they should not, and nine percent (9%) are undecided.

Eighty-two percent (82%) say the words “under God” should remain in the Pledge as well. Fourteen percent (14%) think the phrase should be dropped from the Pledge, and just four percent (4%) have no opinion.

Men and women are in near agreement on saying the Pledge every day. Eighty-four percent (84%) of African-American voters think school children should say the Pledge daily, compared to 77% of whites.

While 91% of Republicans and 75% of unaffiliated voters say students should say the Pledge every morning, just 67% of Democrats agree. Half of Democrats (50%) say children should be able to opt out of saying the Pledge, but 58% of GOP voters say they should not be able to do so. Unaffiliateds oppose opting out by a six-point margin.

Obviously white Democrats are out of touch with the rest of the nation on this issue.

“God” isn’t a Christian concept. Whether you’re Jewish or Muslim or Christian, you pray to God. It does not cross the separation of church and state lines as it does not promote a religion. It’s simply a reflection of mankind’s belief in a higher power. There are those who don’t believe in one, but they’re a small percentage of the human population.

My son is one of the blessed few children who attend PBES, a small charter school on Pensacola Beach, Fl. When I originally looked at their website before my move I was pleasantly shocked. They actually have Patriotism as part of their mission statement! He loves it and it is a far cry from his last school where he told his principal that his 2nd grade teacher was irresponsible because “she didn’t make the kids pay attention to the Pledge of Allegiance”, he was so mad because he understood it was the blood of our soldiers who give us the very freedoms that make America the greatest nation anywhere. When he told me his story and how upset he was, well~I cried…….he got it! I was so grateful to find his new school and can’t help but wonder what if every child in the USA attended a school like his what a better future our children would have. If they have Veteran’s day off, they better d@mn well know why. I’ll put the link below for anyone interested in forming a charter school like this.

      About PBES

Pensacola Beach Elementary School is the southernmost school in Escambia County, and certainly the most unique. For almost thirty years we have educated students in our elevated school among the sand dunes. With only one teacher per grade, we are not a very large school but we certainly get the most out of what we do have; a wonderful location, a top-rate staff, caring parents, and enthusiastic children. Our enrollment ranges between 120 and 140 students. All elementary-school age children on Pensacola Beach are eligible to attend PBES.

      Mission Statement

The mission of Pensacola Beach Elementary School is to recognize that each child has unique needs and abilities; provide a nurturing environment in which to achieve academic success and establish a foundation for educating citizens for life; instill the core values of equality, honesty, integrity, patriotism, respect, and responsibility; develop self-confident, critical thinkers; and cultivate creativity and leadership.

Maybe we wouldn’t have a socialist in as POTUS elect if more children had the advantage of an education such as this! We are truly blessed!

Liza T had such a beautiful statement and post, then at the last sentence, she decides to become an @ssclown.

      Congratulations, LT…

Your last sentence turned you into a genuine scared monkeys standup comedienne!

Liza – kudos 2 you for finding such a great school. I wish we had anything remotely close to that where we live – no such luck and I agree with u on your last sentence. Frankly I think he is closer to a Marxist! Ignore the Kayzee comment, he/she is the assclown!

      Elle laments…
“I wish we had anything remotely close to that where we live – no such luck…”

Evidently either ignoring or not reading Liza T’s statement..
“I’ll put the link below for ANYONE INTERESTED IN FORMING a charter school like this.” or just not comprehending the post completely and only taking glee in the last sentence of the stand-up routine.

      Elle also counters…
“…and I agree with u on your last sentence. Frankly I think he is closer to a Marxist! Ignore the Kayzee comment, he/she is the assclown!(two exclamation points in her post!!)”

In which she proves my point and has neither the desire nor interest in the topic itself save for the obligatory Pre-elect Obama bash.

Hey, Elle, great skit, and yes you’re funny too.
