Amber Alert Issued for 2 Year Old Myra Lewis Missing Since 3/1/14 in Camden, MS (Update: Case Now Considered an Abduction)(Update: FBI Joins Search)
An Amber Alert has been issued in Madison County for 2 year old Myra Lewis who has been missing since around 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014. Myra Lewis was last seen at her parents’ home on Mount Pilgrim Road in Camden, Mississippi. As per WLBT, Ericka Lewis, the child’s mother, said she last saw Myra when leaving to go to the grocery store. Myra and her sister were outside playing, and Ericka Lewis told them to go inside. She saw her walk back into the house with her sister, where the children’s father was. The missing toddler’s mother and father have been questioned about the disappearance, but authorities state that is standard procedure and they are not considered suspects or persons-of-interest.

- Lewis described the toddler as 34″ tall and weighs about 25 pounds.
- Lewis said the little girl was last seen wearing a turquoise sweater with a black bear on the front and khaki pants with pink shinny shoes (tennis) with glitter on them.
- Lewis said sometimes little Myra sucks her thumb upside down.

THE MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY PATROL IS ISSUING AN AMBER ALERT FOR TWO-YEAR-OLD MYRA LEWIS. SHE WAS LAST SEEN SATURDAY MORNING JUST AFTER 11 AT HER HOME IN CAMDEN IN NORTHERN MADISON COUNTY. SHE WAS LAST SEEN WEARING A TURQUOISE SWEATER WITH A BEAR ON THE FRONT, OFF-WHITE OR KHAKI PANTS AND PINK TENNIS SHOES. SHE IS DESCRIBED AS 34 INCHES TALL, WEIGHING 27 POUNDS. Amber Alert issued for missing Madison Co. toddler.
Sunday evening the Mississippi Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert for two-year-old Myra Lewis of Camden.
Multiple agencies are searching for a missing two-year-old, who went missing Saturday morning.
Metro One is assisting in the search for the missing toddler.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Madison and Ridgeland police and fire departments, Rankin County, Hinds County and Rankin and Madison Emergency Management are all cooperating in the search.

UPDATE I: Case for Missing toddler treated as an abduction.
We are being told that the missing Madison County toddler case is now being treated as an abduction.
On Sunday evening the Mississippi Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert for two-year-old Myra Lewis of Camden.
Multiple agencies were searching for the missing 2-year-old, who was last seen Saturday morning.
Metro One was also assisting in the search for the missing toddler on Sunday.
The search was called off Monday after the case classification changed.
UPDATE II: FBI joins search for missing Mississippi toddler Myra Lewis.
The FBI has joined the search for a missing Madison County toddler, and authorities say they’re still not sure what happened to her.
Police began looking for 2-year-old Myra Lewis on Saturday afternoon after family members realized she was missing. She may have been gone from her rural Camden home for hours by that time.
“Until we can prove or disprove one or the other, we’ve still got to consider every possibility. She may have wandered off or been abducted, we just don’t know what (happened) at this point,” he said.
