UPDATE III: Parents, friends search for missing 19-year-old student.
Howard, 19, has been missing since Saturday around 1:50 a.m. She was last seen on UNO’s campus. Her family says she was on her way home to Slidell when her 2002 Toyota Corolla with the Louisiana license plate XBP 643 had a flat tire. A group of people helped her fix it then she mysteriously disappeared.
“I was told by her boyfriend, the last person to speak with her, ‘They were nice people a group of nice people. Helped me change the tire,’ she said. She wanted to go. Apparently she had left the area and wanted to go back and thank them and pay them,” said her father James Howard.
“That’s obviously a suspicious thing for us that the last person that allegedly saw her was helping her repair a flat tire in the middle of the night,” said Hayley Howard’s friend Elizabeth Gelvin.

News says her dad was the last one to see her alive. Why was her dad the last one to see her alive? What was he doing at the University of New Orleans? Reports state that she dropped a friend off at the school campus then left to go home in Slidell. And if her dad was the last one to see her alive, why in Heaven’s name did he let her drive off if she was drunk? No parent I know would allow their child to get in a car and drive away drunk? Just wondering, as this makes no sense to me.
Stacielynnw where does it say that her father was the last person to see her alive? I can’t find that anywhere. One thing I do believe is that it should not take 4 hours to get from UNO to Irish Bayou even with a flat tire. I can’t see her going back to go pay the people for changing the tire either though. Something is up with those “NICE” people that changed her tire.
