Why is Barack Obama above being called an inexperienced political neophyte not 
ready for prime time, yet he is allowed to think and basically almost say in a public forum that others did not deserve appointments or nominations due to their lack of experience?
One thing that was brought front and center at Rick Warren’s Presidential debate from Saddleback Church is the fact that John McCain and Barack Obama’s view on the world and issues are as different as night and day. The debate style of the forum showed just how different the two candidates actually are. In the end McCain smoked Obama. The Leftwing blogosphere had to be extremely disappointed as Obama got crushed.
However, if you missed it last night because you might have been watching the Beijing Olympics and Michael Phelps making all Americans proud … Barack Obama almost made the political gaffe of the century. Obama was asked which existing Supreme Court Justice would he not have nominated. Barack Obama almost said that he could not have nominated Clarence Thomas because he was not experienced enough.
As Hot Air points out, Watch him catch himself mid-sentence, the first fateful syllable of the word “experience” already out of his mouth, before he stops short and switches gears by basically calling Thomas a moron instead (at least, “at the time”)
As Mark My Words stated, there is no doubt that Obama’s true intent and what he meant to say was that “Barack Obama clearly meant he would not have nominated Clarence Thomas because Thomas was not experienced enough.”

McCain “smoked” Obama? What have you been smoking?? The pander express was in high gear when McCain took the stage. Obama was thoughtful, and interested in exploring the issues, sometimes seeming to be cut short by Warren. McCain was pulling fragments out of campaign speeches and throwing at the crowd, often with a smile, as if saying “you like me, you really like me.”
McCain should have scared anyone who actually listened to this, being just as knee jerk and reactionary as Bush has ever dared to be.
On the Clarence Thomas topic: I’m sure the right will disagree with me, but “experience” for a supreme court justice, who serves for life, is quite a different thing than experience for a president, who is elected by the people (at least those who choose to vote) and who has a limited term. If president Obama is a dud, we are only stuck with him for 4, maybe 8 years, then he is gone. With a Clarence Thomas, he was only approved by a majority of the Senate and is there until he decides to quit. Big difference.
I, for one, am sick of jingo-ism, which is all John McCain offered last night. Also, for a candidate who didn’t want to draw attention to his captivity in Vietnam, he certainly seemed to find ample opportunity to remind everyone listening that he was a POW.
McCain smoked Obama? Only in the opinion of those who were 1) rooting for McCain from the outset, 2) who like the idea of perpetual war on everything, 3) who were only partially paying attention and found it much easier to follow McCain’s short answers than Obama’s lengthy, thoughtful responses.
I look at Obama and the damage he could do to our country….
How many alias are they? When things get bad enough you just leave under another citizenship…..

Thoughtful??? LOL … who knew you were a comedian #1. Obama was nuanced and rehearsed. He was trying his best to come up with some stupid, rehearsed answer not to offend anyone rather than just say what he believed. Why? Cuz he has no beliefs. He is a completely rehearsed candidate created by his campaign. Without his tele-prompter he sounded like a bumbling idiot.
You people have made fun of GWB for 8 years … you may want to take the blinders and rose colored glasses off and actually listen to Obama sometime.
I guarantee if Obama was white and a Republican, the LEFT would refer to him as GWB.
Isn’t it kinda funny that the LIBS do not want to address the “HE WAS NOT EXPERIENCED ENOUGH” answer that almost completely came out of Obama’s mouth.

Obama was a failure last night. He should have stayed on vacation.
His … “is there evil” question was a bomb as well. Not to mention many others.
What the questions really showed was that he has no real past to draw from to answer anything other than in a juvenile manner.
obama’s teleprompter must have been unplugged last night. if elected, and god help us all if he is, michelle’s going to have to answer that 3:30 am telephone call after she turns the teleprompter on and scrolls down to the appropriate paragraph.

I think we saw last week what would happen with a 3am phone call with Obama when he reacted like he did to the Russian aggression in Georgia.
It took him 3 tries to get it right while body surfing on vacation.
Funny, the old man McCain got it right on the first try. That’s what experience, a war record and dealing with foreign affairs gets you.

Please note that nowhere in my comment did I question that Obama almost said that Thomas wasn’t experienced enough.
Interesting that no one has seen fit to take on my assertion that lack of experience in a supreme court justice is a wholly different thing than lack of experience in a president. We have had some inexperienced presidents before who have been excellent presidents, and some who have been terrible.
Just what experience did GWB have before getting selected president? Gov of Texas, a state with a weak executive. The Texas constitution outlines more duties for the Lt. Gov than for the Gov. Now, if you want to argue that given lack of experience, Obama could be as big a disaster as GWB, I’ll grant you that. So could McCain.
OK #10, A president deals in world affairs…can you see where I’m going with this? because I’ve already wasted too much of my time on this.

By the time he was nominated, Clarence Thomas had worked in the Missouri Attorney General’s office, served as an Assistant Secretary of Education, run the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and sat for a year on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, the nation’s second most prominent court. Since his “elevation” to the High Court in 1991, he has also shown himself to be a principled and scholarly jurist.
Meanwhile, as he bids to be America’s Commander in Chief, Mr. Obama isn’t yet four years out of the Illinois state Senate, has never held a hearing of note of his U.S. Senate subcommittee, and had an unremarkable record as both a “community organizer” and law school lecturer.
Not only is Sen. Obama, by his own criteria, too inexperienced to be elected president, but he’s less qualified for the job than…Clarence Thomas.
I thought the Saddleback debate was a wonderful way to gauge the two candidates and compare them to one another. I also think that Rick Warren did a great job, with balanced and probing questions … questions which any legitimate candidate for President of the United States should have already wrestled with on his own, way before arriving at this debate. Therefore, why did Obama respond to the questions as if it was the first time he has ever considered these points. John McCain’s immediate and decisive answers show that he had already given a great deal of thought to real concerns, as posed in these questions … where as Obama had to take the time to stutter and deliberate over the same questions asked of McCain. This was very revealing, and so were the Obama camp’s accusations of cheating, after Obama lost the debate … just another indication that Obama is a sore loser who is not qualified to lead this country … and, McCain is.
obama had to make sure he made no definitive statements that his obamatites couldn’t “reinterpret” for him after the polls showed which answers would give him the most votes. to say that obama lies like every other chicago machine politician is an understatement.
