Happy Mother’s Day
To all the Mom’s out there that give so much, we thank you and appreciate all that you do. Enjoy today, you have earned it.
“Happy Mother’s Day” means more
Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
We never get to say.
It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I honor you.
But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of
Your happiness on this, your day,
With pleasure and with love.

How ironic!
You claim to honor Mothers with your nice oratory brief.
Yet, you and many of your posters rarely fail to miss the opportunity to belittle Joran’s Mother and the Kalpoe’s Mother.
Whatever you think about J2K, whatever they have done, their Mothers will always be their Mothers. A true Mother shows/has unconditional love and support for their sons and daughters. That does not make them a bad Mother, nor does their support for their sons suggest they should be subject to ridicule for doing so.
I dare say that the mothers of many posters on this blog would show unconditional love and support of their child — regardless of the tone or content of their respective posts.
(FWIW, I’d be surprised if this doesn’t get deleted as you have a history for deleting posts that do not fit your beliefs)
The mothers of JvdS and the K2′s should know how the mother of Natalee feels, especialy on days like today.
The best way to support their sons would be to encourage them to tell what REALLY happened that horrible night two years agoo…

You could not be more wrong. Unconditional love of a child without the expectation that they intern will love and respect the lives of other human beings is wrong. If this child is raised without learning right from wrong THAT Mother has done a poor job. That sorry child, the receiver of unconditonal love without the teaching of right, wrong, and good values, such as honesty, will grow to expect the world revolves around them.
I show unconditional love of my children, and believe me this has been tested. I am happy to say they do not lie. They are empathetic to the needs of others, and know they are accountable for their own actions.
On this Mothers Day I am happy to say MY children have MADE ME HAPPY by becoming the individuals that I have nurtured them to be.
Beautiful peom.Beautiful thoughts.
Leave it to #1 to even find a way to be clueless about Mother’s day. Unconditional love sometimes should be tough love otherwise you are nothing more than an enabler.
If any parent thinks that looking the other way for a problem that their child has is the answer, then they are really in need of a clue. You help neither yourself, your child or society.
A Happy Mother’s Day to all.

Thank you SM for the beautiful poem. My prayer today is for all the Mothers out there that cant be with their child or children because they have been TAKEN from them. Beth, if you read this please know that we love you and are praying for you. You are one of the best Mothers in the world. May God be with you on this day and please know that there will be JUSTICE for your lovely angel,Natalee.
As a mother you are responsible to TEACH your children right from wrong, you dont say” every body LIES….Big ppl too. THAT IS NOT A GOOD MOTHER.To allow your 14 year old to go out till 1am is NOT a good mother…..I could go on and on. I wouldnt even call either anita or nadira mothers.
They are all mothers.Every son and daughter has a mother, and she should respected, today.I will honor mothers today all mothers, today and pray for answers and justice for Beth
Thanks SM for the nice poem! I’ve had a very nice Mother’s Day so far, i.e., beautiful roses, Shoney’s for breakfast with my daughter and son-in-law, dinner later on with my son and his girlfriend, gorgeous weather, etc.
What seems to be ‘Sharpened Stick’s’ problem (maybe the sharpened stick got stuck in an unpleasant place) ranting and raving about J2K’s mothers? I saw no article posted today in reference to their “prime suspect” sons. If Mamma Sloot and Nadira would’ve raised their children properly, Natalee would be home with her mother celebrating Mother’s Day right now!! Unconditional love doesn’t just mean showing your children love and support, but also teaching them to take responsibility for their own actions…
The poem was very nice! Thank you SM. Yes, technically Mrs. VDS and Mrs. Kalpoe are mothers of children. I doubt they are having a very happy Mother’s Day, knowing what their tender dearies have done! Sometimes it isn’t the parent’s fault when a child goes bad, but most of the time I would say it has a lot to do with the upbringing and the values taught to the children.
I ended being a single mom, watching my son’s father leave my son and I at the tender age of 7. To watch him leave for the last time, leaving his small child to go after another woman, was one of the sadest days in my life, as I and our extended families thought we had a great marriage! It was actually mother’s day of that year that I decided to lift my head up and stop the crying and being depressed and said I must move on….I did no wrong…I have a child to care for and my son turned out to be one of the best (no drinking, no smoking, no drugs) you could ask for! (His birthday is just one day before Natalee’s disappearance – my son will be 22 this year) I hope all mother’s who are going through difficult times on this day think their life through and lift their heads up and march on! Do the best they can do in each situation.
As far as Beth…..I know she is doing the best she can with the horrifying situation she is in. I must say, I am surprised the VDS’s and Kalpoes are actually still living…..if it would have been my son that disappeared……I would have torn those low-lifes to shreds until I found the TRUTH….I have so much respect for Beth Holloway Twitty and love for Natalee even though we have never met, she is part of my life every day. I think of both of them every single day and pray and hope the answers to this nightmare come soon.
***Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and espcially to Beth!***
~~Peace be with Natalee~~
